Café Affogato

Just received Cafe Affogato today and I can honestly say that this scent is hands down one of the best coffee gourmands I have ever tried. This gourmand perfume is delicious and done to perfection. The expresso mixed with the vanilla while having the dark chocolate as the base really lifts this amazing scent to another level of gourmand expresso, and the best part it's not sickly sweet, all the ingredients compliment each other to perfection. This is a perfect summer, spring and fall scent whether you wear this day or night you will def turn heads, this is a absolute must if you love or even just curious about coffee perfumes. So glad I bought this, I own a few now from Jousset Parfums, and I will have to say that the creator Jimmy Bodin is one of the best re creators of gourmands out there, his innate ability to perfect what he smells and taste is beyond comprehension, if you have ever smelled Le Gourmand you will know what I mean, hands down the best chocolate cake scent I have ever smelled, Genius.:))

This is straight fresh brewed expresso, but in a pleasant homey way. It’s very rich and as it dries down you start to get that vanilla ice cream. If you’re a fan of coffee ice cream, this would be an easy love. This was my favorite of the new releases and I’m curious to see if it gets better as it sits.

This is a lovely scent. On my skin, it smells like a slightly sweeter, more chocolatey version of Coffee Addict by TK. The espresso note is beautifully blended and captures the essence of fresh coffee. I do wish it leaned more into the ice cream affogato direction, but it’s still a rich and enjoyable gourmand. That said, considering the price, Coffee Addict gives you a very similar experience for better value.

Coffee but chocolate sauce even more more. Smells like a teacher's room during a break - coffee, chocolate, some other treats. Not as cream heavy as I imagined. Lovely, but I'm getting picky now and have already picked my top 1s for chocolate and coffee scents. So although I like it, I might sell it to control my ever growing collection.

So I bought this one and crème brûlée (already wrote a review on that one) This one was my favorite of the two. A very strong and realistic espresso smell on the opening. After 3-5 minutes the vanilla and ice cream start to show up. To me, this is a fairly realistic Affogato smell. If you like gourmand coffee smells, this is for you.

A jolt of espresso with chocolate in the heart. Sweetens as it goes. The best from this house and an excellent gourmand coffee fragrance.

smelled lovely in the bottle but turned a bit chemically on my skin :'(

It's not awful but I was a bit disappointed by this. At first spray, it's a little bit of coffee with a lot of chocolate and some vanilla. I had to concentrate to find the coffee it was so faint, but the slight acidic/bitter undertone was there. Given the notes, I expected much more. For most of the wear, it was mainly chocolate and vanilla. It also had a somewhat waxy/lipsticky quality that very much reminded me of chocolate Hershey-flavored lip balms I would get as a kid. By the third hour, any undertone of coffee had faded completely and what was left was a powdery cocoa scent—like an open packet of hot chocolate mix. It remained this way for a few more hours before getting a tad creamier. Overall, not as coffee-forward as I was expecting but it is a great chocolate perfume if you're looking for that. The longevity is very long-lasting—easily 12 hours on me. Also, the sprayer on this bottle is monstrous, spraying about three times as much as any other perfume bottle I have.

Cafe Affogato smells like a strong vanilla latte/affogato. The creator did an excellent job creating a realistic vanilla coffee. It smells delicious! UnfortunateIy I did not get as much chocolate as other people. I have learned that although I love the smell of a great coffee drink , I don't necessarily want to wear it. Thats my fault, for not knowing what to expect. If you love vanilla lattes , and appreciate wearing that type of scent , I think you may enjoy this one.

Eh, alright. I’m 99% sure they just used “accident à la vanille” as a part of this perfume because it takes over all the same »fatty (almost rancid) buttercream« notes I really didn’t enjoy on that one. It feels less like a once-in-a-month guilty pleasure but rather relapsing on your gluttonous urges. Looove the sweet, deep espresso notes but they vanish first :(

i want to love this, but it's much more chocolate-y than i was expecting. there's a hint of coffee, but this is largely pure chocolate ice cream which isn't for me. overall rating: 🩷🩷💔🖤🖤 2.5/5

good and realistic coffee acent, but honestly it smells more as a toffee than an afogatto. Nevertheless, good for whoever likes coffee

I was really excited when I saw the notes, so I quickly ordered a sample. Sadly, it’s not what I expected :( I think what puts me off is the vanilla & cream. I’m not a vanilla hater, I just don’t like it in this combination with the coffee. It’s my fault for expecting anything different from a café affogato lol. It’s very rich, it just goes rich in a direction I don’t like. If you’re a big fan of affogato, blonde vanilla lattes, or anything like that, you probably will love it. Personally, I’m not a fan

All I can smell is old scented candle wax. This is the proof to always sample until you are so sure. And just when you are sure, test more.

Nice coffee and cream vibe at first, but it fades too quickly and doesn’t have much depth in the dry down. Longevity is just okay, needing reapplication. If you want a richer, longer-lasting version, Dua’s Gelato Expresso take on this scent is definitely worth trying, it really nails that creamy espresso feel with better performance.

It opens with a very intense whipped cream/butter frost vanilla note and coffee. Very sweet, very dense. But, unfortunately this stays very linear and synthetic. It does smell like a coffee vanilla candle. Waxy, artificial, strong. A sample is more than enough for me. Yankee Candle scents are not wearable to me.

A very faint and poor-performing black coffee scent. Sillage is non-existent and it only lasts a couple of hours on clothes. Bummer. I'll stick with Coffee Addict by Theodoros Kalotinis.

Smells like a mocha latte. As it dries down though the coffee starts to disappear and it becomes just a chocolatey fragrance with some vanilla.

So realistic the coffee, this will be my next buy.. TRUE COFFEE FRAGRANCE
