Andron for Men

Andron was everything it was advertised as (heavy pheromone) and much, MUCH more! I was in the U.S. Air Force in the early 80s, and my base was far from civilization. The female airmen there were young and randy and permanently stuck on that base. Needless to say, I was young also, and very stupid, and Andron turned me into a male slut. I am not proud of it; these days I am a Christian praise & worship minister. But I will never, EVER forget how Andron led so many chicks in my direction; compliment after compliment after compliment and many, many different nights with many, many different women. It was insane! I came across a decent sum of money about ten years ago, and I bought up every Andron bottle I could find on eBay over a two-year period (it was about $100 an ounce then), and stored it up. I have about ten or twelve bottles of it now, and I only wear it on special occasions, so I will never run out. Good thing, too, because now it is about $250 - $300 an ounce. I keep the bottles in a cool, dry place, and the one-of-a-kind scent is still just as potent and perfect as it was back then. It is a shame that they got rid of it and never bothered to bring it back. Also, I have seen many companies try to duplicate it with absolutely zero success. It was a wonderful thing back then, and even today, my love for this cologne remains. It was and is my signature scent and always will be. By the way, the quality of the scent has not waned one iota over the years. It smells and performs exactly as it did in 1982! Simply incredible!

Used it in the 80's. Would love to see it back. My sister loved it that much. She started to use it . Seen one botttle on ebay at over 200. Just cannot afford to pay that much. I may go up to 50.00. It was certainly affordable in the 80's. It was priced alongside Jovan Musks at about 30.00. I am guessing they dropped it because it may have affected the musk sales. I prefer it better than Musk. I don't buy Musk now. Proving that this company will lose sales. Not switching brands. They should take another look at bringing it back. I think it would be a hit again.

I bought a bottle of Andron for the pheremones but stayed for the scent. The bottle is long gone, but I just tried Jacques Bogart's Arabian Nights, and they are close enough to be first cousins. At around $20 for a bottle, Arabian Nights is less expensive that Andron was, which is saying a lot. Not a summer scent, but Fall/Winter for sure. Update: For those who wonder why it was discontinued, just look at the ingredients. Both civet and castoreum, extracted from the anal glands of two different rodents. IFRA would have reduced this to worthlessness.

I owned Andron in 1983 or 1984. The pheromone thing was all the rage then, so I thought it was going to be a magnet for women. No such luck. If memory serves me right, I don’t remember anyone ever even commenting on it. The fragrance wasn’t very appealing to me but I wore it anyway. Got about halfway through the bottle and either threw it away or gave it away.

I was a devotee of this cologne in the 80's. The response from women was incredible. I was often asked about the cologne I was wearing. It seemed that this was the magic love potion that drove women wild. So, I got married in '87 and left the country. I went to more expensive scents such as Kouros, Eau Sauvage, Aramis, etc. for a few years. However, when I found myself single again around 2000, Andron was gone! I found Catalyst to be a somewhat similar scent to my nose as memory served but I couldn't get the Andron off my mind. Fast forward to 2004, I buy an ounce off of EBAY and wore it on one date. This was not the 2 oz spray I always bought but a 1 oz bottle which I had never seen in the 80's. To my olfactory sense, it just wasn't the same. I actually tried wiping it off with a towel as I was leaving. However, I found myself being straddled by a much younger woman within 45 minutes of meeting her. She actually demanded to know what the scent was with exclamation. Believe it or not, I was shocked and decided I'd better not go down that road again in this day and age. I sold the bottle for over 2x what I paid and still think about Andron to this day.
