Gardez Moi

Ah Jovoy, you never let me down. I just adore this scent. As I do most of Jovoy perfumes. The notes are so well blended and play together on my skin so beautifully. Jovoy, Ormonde Jayne, MFK and Xerjoff never let me down when it comes to quality and uniqueness and I find myself wanting them all. Even the ones I’m not loving, I still do respect the quality of ingredients and unique beauty of each and every scent. Oh I almost forgot, I also just adore Kerosene Fragrances very much, this small not as well known as most of the larger Niche houses has put out some unique and amazing fragrances. They have it all and what I love most about Kerosene is that I not only love their perfumes but they all last incredibly long. And sillage is great too. There are many small rarely known and very talented and amazing Niche and Indie perfume houses and it’s a shame, ppl have no idea what they’re missing by not at least sampling some of the scents. If you have never heard of Kerosene and are curious but don’t know where to start. I HIGHLY recommend Unknown Pleasures if you’re a gourmand/citrus lover. This scent will have you running back for a full bottle, and for back ups, it’s that intoxicatingly addictive...if you love sandalwood as much as I do then u must try Santalum Slivers and oh my goodness the very beautiful Blackmail, oh there are so many I love from this house. I suggest buying their sample pack . That’s exactly what I did. It’s worth every penny. And you will find your favorites that way. Or you may just end up like I did, loving all of them and going back every week for a full bottle. Best of all, for a Niche/Indie house, their prices for a full bottle is more that fair. And wow wait til u see their beautiful bottles. Sorry. I know I came to review the beautiful Gardez Moi and got off track, as I always tend to do and started gushing over Kerosene. But trust me this house is well deserved of the love. Don’t take my word for it. Sample for yourself.

I'm nearing the end of a very long journey to find a feminine, mixed, white floral perfume I can wear often, every day perhaps. I believe Jovoy "Gardez-Moi" is discontinued; however, it seemed to fit the bill based on my current preferred fragrance notes. I sprung for a sizable decant. I sense tuberose in the opening, along with prominent gardenia. Or perhaps it's the ylang-ylang I detect that smells so familiar. Opens as a pleasant, slightly indolic, mixed white floral fragrance with some green nuances. The green opening floral notes DO remind me of Herrera "Tuberose." But I do not see tuberose listed amongst the main ingredients and notes... Mimosa, gardenia & lily are most prominent florals. The dry-down is very pretty and smoother, drier, way sweeter and much warmer than Herrera Tuberose. I like the base and mid notes a lot with loads of mixed florals, soothing moss, some vanilla and a bit of musk. The dry-down is dusty and hay-like...very unique & comforting. Couldn't stop thinking about Gardez-Moi. So, I purchased a deeply discounted bottle from a reputable, online discount retailer.

I've been on the hunt for a gardenia scent and I recently scored a 1/3 of a bottle of Gardez Moi in an auction off eBay. The opening is a juicy, dark gardenia. After 20 minutes it calms down and I can pick up some of the other florals. After an hour it turns to a skin scent..... or so I thought. As I was dining outside twice this past week I was complimented both times by different sets of guests. Remarkably I was still projecting the scent between 3 and 5 hours after first applying. Frustratingly this will not be the holy grail of all gardenias, because I can't detect shortly after spraying, so my search continues. Edit: 6.06.19 Update to my original review. Not sure why I could not smell this before, but Gardez Moi is a good performer, I can still pick it up 5 hours after applying. I’ve also gotten compliments, so good projection too. The more I wear it the more I love it.....so changing my review to LOVE.

Last night I was checking some new product when I encountered something magnificent. I recognized that something smells extremely beautiful. It was like I am in the middle of heaven with a lot of flowers surrounded me! I chased the smell and finally I found the source! It was a masterpiece created by Jovoy! Gardez Moi was the one which was enchanted me. Absolutely feminine perfume with great projection. Gardenia, Jasmine and white Lily was mixed meticulously and had made a extraordinary beautiful blend which absorb any attention. I sprayed a little on my wrist and when I got home, It was still smelling significantly. So I can say that the longevity is as good as the projection. According to the accords, I can say it is a good perfume for warm seasons. If I wanted to buy a perfume for a girl at the age of around 30, I would buy it with no doubt. ااشانتیون ارجینال این کار موجوده

This is the younger, ever-so-slightly louder sister of the masterpiece Songes by Annick Goutal. They are almost identical but this is a bit bolder and doesn't settle down like Songes does. However, one could absolutely mistake one for the other. For me, these are the top gardenias out there. It's not ground-breaking, but does everything need to be? No. It holds its own as a more traditional - but definitely niche- offering. This is a sparkling, strong gardenia, an absolute must for lovers of the note. I don't get peppers, just the stellar, creamy floral accord. On my husband, the peppers (and some zingy fruits) show up front stage. So, an offering for all? This is a pretty safe blind buy for women and an excellent gift idea (who would not enjoy a whole bottle of this?).

This has all the marks of a good niche fragrance. It’s very well blended and elegant with very good longevity for a lighter floral fragrance. It’s clean, a little green, bright, and very hard to pick apart when it comes to notes. The one stand out is of course the gardenia. To me gardenia and tuberose fragrances are the most voluptuous white florals which give a rich thick nuanced fleshy feeling to a fragrance. The other florals here are taking a back seat. The yellow florals come out as background singers a bit in the dry down with a musky base. But this fragrance is all about gardenia in an expensive smelling way. There’s a pinch of sweetness and tiny sparkle of aldehyde but all these notes are so well blended I wouldn’t know the difference if it wasn’t written above.

Gardez Moi by Jovoy Paris combines the most true-to-life gardenia with sweet aquatic-floral undertones. I definitely get the impression of the green leaves flowed by some fizzy mimosa with a hint of raspberry. Notes of crisp lily with buttery ylang-ylang and a wisp of jasmine. I have a serious obsession with all things gardenia so it is no surprise that I absolutely love this fragrance. This is the second fragrance that I have purchased from the Jovoy Paris house and I do find their fragrances to be unique, high quality and so well-done. Gardez Moi is elegant and refined which is perfect for date night and black tie affairs.

Starts with big jasmine and gardenia. Very slightly spicy. Green leaves and soil, less indolic than I expected. Then more of a wet feel... a garden with turned earth, torn leaves, and water lilies floating in moss. Pleasantly surprised given the poor reviews, but I've a weakness for pond like smells and earthy smelling gardens, traveling from flowers down green stems into the wet ground with my hands.

This is a fascinating scent! Opening is sharp and GREEN! But it isn't unpleasant at all and quickly subsides into an ever evolving white floral that is soft and sensuous. I wore it to a dinner party recently and I've never received more compliments on how good I smelled. Definitely FBW

Very beautiful, realistic white flowers! The jasmine is very indolic and prominent. A mature-leaning perfume that reminds me of a woman in the 90s with a corporate job, driving a convertible BMW.

Smells like walking through a grassy field in middle of spring, smelling all of the different flowers.

I love big fat white creamy florals(BFWFs) but was looking for something off the well-worn path. The interesting note description for Gardez Moi and the story behind it swept me off my feet and caused a blind buy. Mostly what I smell, is masses of gardenia flowers that have just opened their buds, that have not gotten the slightly carrion smell of gardenias before they begin to wilt. Joining in are Jasmine, Lily, Ylang Ylang and Tuberose, all my favourite culprits and all at the peak of their beauty. This is less dense than Isabey's Fleur Nocturne, a favourite of mine but which can be cloying for people across me if they aren't fans of BFWFs. The crispness I assume coming from Cyclamen and tomato leaf, together with aldehydes gives this a green opening akin to Cristalle without its frostiness. The smoky styrax and musk give Gardez Moi a strong base and the scent lasted on me the whole day with two sprays, with a good sillage too. I find this more interesting than Estee Lauder's Tuberose Gardenia which I paid a far dearer price for than Gardez Moi. To enjoy this, one must really adore overdoses of white florals, beginning green and fresh and ending in shadowy musk, I suppose much like a love affair that the perfume is named after. To top it all off, the scent comes in a heavy glass bottle with a heavy silver top and housed in a faux leather but still very elegant presentation box. These things shouldn't really matter to a perfume lover but as a gift, it would not go unappreciated. I would recommend this even if it isn't quite far off enough the beaten path for my current fancies.

Temperature plays a key role in how it wears, shifting from green, earthy florals in cooler conditions to a creamy, waxy vanilla that can hint at coconut-like lotion in warmth. It recalls a softer, more restrained, daytime-friendly take on Black Orchid — less dramatic, less femme fatale, and far more approachable. Well blended with solid performance, Gardez Moi leans feminine and feels especially fitting for spring.

At first, it’s all dry, green moss and old-school soap, sharp and aldehydic, with a hint of fresh rose tucked behind. A few minutes later it shifts gear completely. Suddenly you’re in the middle of a bright, fizzy bouquet of white-and-yellow florals: tuberose, jasmine, big, sunny blooms, sweet but sharp enough to fizz on the skin. The drydown is softer, more powdered: vanilla, musk, and a little tart-fruity note. Much later there’s something like gardenia, green and slightly watery, wrapped in that powdered vanilla base. It reminds me of Amarige, not because they smell the same, but because they share that big floral-on-powdery-vanilla idea. The difference is that Gardez-Moi starts with moss and soap before giving you a thinner, airier take on the same kind of bouquet. And honestly, I prefer that.

This smells like something a rich elegant lady in her late 30s-40s would wear, possibly a widow, and she is someone who pairs it with skirt suit and a hat (imagine British coronation party style). It smells like a huge expensive bouquet of white flowers. The quality is there, well blended, great performance. I personally find jasmine dominating the show with gardenia not far behind, and I wish there was more white lily, but to be honest I love that note and there is never enough for me. However, it is way more deep and complex than just a few white flowers. I absolutely love it, but I'm not reaching for it that often as it is slightly too mature /classical fit my liking (although no grandma vibes, I promise).

"Gardez Moi" smells like summertime. The opening was breathtakingly beautiful - feminine, sweet and warm flowers, mostly I was struck with cyclamen and lily, gardenia was also present, but it was perfectly blend with other notes, and good thing it was as straight up gardenia can sometimes induce headache for me. As it develops "Gardez Moi" keeps the beautiful summertime vibe until it reaches the 5 hour mark where all the flowers fade away and I am left with slightly sour musk drydown which I've never been fond off, so I have to admit that I felt a slight disappointment at this stage. Staying power was decant - 5 hours with flowers and few more as straight up sour-slightly flowery musk.

Wore Gardez Moi under my shirt. I would stick my face in my shirt occasionally to sniff and thought well this is interesting but I'm not sure I like it. Then went for a walk and was getting light whiffs that smelled lovely in the cold night air. So I think maybe this one just doesn't work if you, say, huff it straight from the application point, but will definitely smell great to the people around you and will still gives you occasional whiffs.

Very pretty combination of white flowers and ylang-ylang! The aquatic undertone shines through just enough to make the composition more interesting, and that comes from someone who otherwise HATES aquatics.... I personally don't get any tomato leaves, which is a shame as I usually love that inclusion. This is a well blended fragrance perfectly suited for a woman👌

This is a straight up fun scent for me and I just realized why. This is how the Duty Free stores at the airport smell. And every time I smell duty free, I'm on vacation. woohoo!!!! So do you want to smell like cosmetics and perfume? Why not. Enjoy.

A white floral fragrance with a very natural 'green' feel to it. Very pleasant and not overly feminine, men can appreciate this too. Longevity was about 4 hours for me with moderate projection. Overall, a decent offering from the house of Jovoy.

This is like 75% tomato leaf and 25% white floral. I like this, it has decent projection and sillage.

I'm really perplexed by this perfume. Looking at all the notes I thought it would be a lot more complex than it is. It just smells like a very light tuberose scent. I know it is supposed to be gardenia and lily but it just smells like tuberose to me. I almost bought a bottle of this blind and ordered it from Italy, but Covid hit, and my order was cancelled. I managed to get a manufacturer's sample right after that and tried it once and thought it was nice but wasn't floored by it so put it away to try another day. I decided to try it again today and I am still not enamored. Reading the notes, I'm not picking up most of what is in this fragrance, except for the white florals reading as tuberose, tomato leaf, and a little black pepper. I also find it very dry with no sweetness at all on me. IDK, maybe this is one to wear in the warmer months to draw out all the notes, but as of right now it only smells of the three notes I mentioned and not much else. Silage and longevity leave a lot to be desired too. It looks like I'll be putting this away to try again in the warmer months but as of right now I am very grateful that my original order was cancelled. Just want to add that something similar which smells much better to me is Symbol by Princesse Marina De Bourbon. It is also a lot cheaper at 1/4 the price.

Opens with a bubblegummy burst similar to tuberose fragrances - but it isn’t the scent of tuberose, it’s a creamy mix of white florals, mainly indolic jasmine. The tomatoleaf, moss and musk mixes with the florals and they get creamier in the drydown. I like the floral scent, although I find it a bit cloying after a while.

This smells like a garden I want to get farther away from. Overly sweetened artificial vanilla meets tomato leaf. Sits on a bed of flowers that only my grandmother could appreciate. Yum. Not 🍅

I have only one observation... Rockets. Or if you're American, you'll call them Smarties. Powdery candy. Don't mind it, but is that really something you want to smell like? 🤔

This is a more jasmin prominent Do Son by Diptyque. I do not think it projects well and the bottle is hideous.

A peppery white floral. Very sweet as well. Did not love it as I thought I would based on the notes.

I have tried many tuberose, jasmine, LOTV perfumes and I love the scent of white flowers. I know I have to try Gardez Moi when I see its notes. It is much fresher and greener on the blotting paper. On my skin Gardez Moi feels almost oily/fatty due to the rich and intoxicating scents of gardenia, lily and ylang-ylang. The freshness from tomato leaf and aldehydes disappears so fast that the scent becomes imbalanced and cloying. Not a pleasant fragrance for me. Edit: Gave it a second try, smells like olive oil mixed with melon. Not a fan.

Too sweet, too strong, almost confetti-sugary, and imho heavy! On skin I feel geranium, lily and gardenia bouquet, but not the fresh one, more likely the one that was in a vase for quite some time, so the. Water turned brownish ... Overly ripe and mature scent, about 6 hours on my skin, left with moss and pepper. Overall, a bit disappointed with this " keep me safe" cologne, but can totally see it on 40+ Somewhere in opera, covered in burgundy velvet and blings....

I rarely say this, but WAY too sweet. Usually love white florals, but this is too indolic for me, and almost syrupy sweet. The green notes (tomato leaf) in the opening also don't seem to go with the florals. It just seems too loud, too many things clashing with one another. Its a nope.

I was surprised tuberose and coconut were not listed. Just sweet enough to keep it balanced, quite strong and projecting; I have hypnotic poison on the other hand–and can't smell a thing!

Stronger creamy-white floral scent. Tad on sweeter side, non cloying lactonic lilly with clean soapy ending (no tomato leaf or raspberry hints for me). Mediocre longevity and sillage.

It's pretty nothing unusual, doesn't last long and fades into just a natural pretty smell.

Some note in here reminds me too much of cleaning supplies, specifically in elementary school when a kid would get sick and they'd have to bring out the disinfectant bucket. Maybe it's the sweetness from the vanilla mixing with the florals that just gets kind of a weirdness to it with the tomato leaf. I'd try to describe what seems off to me more clearly, but I don't want to keep smelling it. I love a nice floral, but unfortunately this one makes me kind of nauseous.

Gardez Moi opens as a beautiful floral bouquet with a touch of spices and slightly sweet fruity undertone.I can't detect aldehydes but coriander,cyclamen and what I refer to tomato leaves are noticeable but gardenia is star.soon spices calm down and it's floral heart blooms more and gardenia,clean jasmine and a tad spicy lily take the stage.white florals are so soft and fresh as if they're petals,leaves and stems are wet by rain but fortunately there's not much of they're leaves and stem's aura noticable here it's not a really green scent. Gardez Moi is not a gardenia soliflore,other white and yellow florals and some sort of sweet fruity,very light aromatic spicy accord accompany it.gardenia isn't sharp,loud and showy such as gardenia in Kim Kardashian Kim Kardashian or Bond No.9 central park west.it's not a fatty creamy,tropical beachy coconuty or banana-like either.it's not even the green gardenia of Chanel gardenia or the milky,supersoft,sophisticated gardenia of Narciso Rodriguez Narciso edp or Cartier la panthere.. It's something in between.it's clean but not syntethic,fresh but not green,sophisticated and classy yet youthful,soft and well-rounded but not fatty and indolic and sweet but not heavily as time passes yellow florals become stronger but not strong enough to overpower gardenia.I can definitely detect a touch of ylang-ylang and and softly powdered mimosa. these floral notes usually make a scent kind of maternal for me,also in this case I can feel that calm,kind motherly feeling but at the same time I get a playful,sunny and happy,girly thing which makes me believe that Gardez Moi is totally ageless. I've read in some reviews that it suits +40 ladies but IMHO it can be perfect on a 25 year old as well as her mother and grandmother It finally dries down to a warm,soft scent of florals in a woodsy-vanilla-musky base.just a little bit of base notes It's definitely a pleasant one.feminine,refined and easy to wear and there's many interesting notes that accompanies florals;it's a simple fragrance but not a boring one.I believe it could be more intresting with a stronger base but I can't say that I don't like it as it is.there's nothing to dislike here.florals are main players but they're not heavy and difficult to handle for a non-floral-lover,it's sweetness never gets cloying and spices melt perfectly. A sweet, creamy white floral, ideally suited to summer days and weddings. My one complaint is that the sweetness is a bit much to start with. It does calm down as time goes on, but the initial blast of it could do with being reigned in just a tad. The opening offers some lovely cyclamen. It's all green, wet and snappy. It really showcases the best of this amazing note. There are apparently a lot of florals in the heart notes, but what I get is gardenia and ylang ylang. They're featured very prominently in this perfume. The gardenia is full bodied and super creamy. It's the star of the show for a good hour or so, then the ylang ylang takes centre stage. My favourite thing about ylang ylang is its versatility. I find it can be all tart, tangy and aloof, or it can be creamy and slightly warm. It's the latter here. You can the full banana smell from it (which might just mean I'm crazy, but I swear ylang ylang often smells like banana to me!). Towards the end this becomes a lovely soft vanilla with some woody depth to it. I'm finding this to be quite a common dry down with Duchafour's creations. The longevity is amazing. A couple of spritzes will easily last all day. I really enjoy this, although it's not going to be for people who don't like sweet perfumes because the sweetness is a LOT.

This is very stable and smells the same on my skin as it does on the blotter. With the jasmine, ylang ylang, vanilla and massive overdose of aldehydes this has a lot in common with Chanel No. 5 but they're nothing alike. Floral and aldehylic, yes, but unlike the rosy, soapy, powderiness of Chanel this is just a round, heady and kind of unremarkable white floral that smothers the coriander, black pepper and tomato leaves which I can't detect at all. I'm a firm believer in all scents being unisex and ageless but there's a curious quality to Gardez Moi that reminds me of my grandmother (who only wore Chanel No. 5) and my sister in her early teens wearing Anaïs Anaïs in the 90s. Every time I sniff my wrist I see either a sophisticated, mature woman or a young girl and nothing in between. I'm not sophisticated or young. This isn't for me.

A beautiful, easy to wear bridal bouquet type of scent. Fresh, not too sweet, just a touch of greenery. I get plenty of spiciness probably from the "lily pistils" which are also the spices here. No overpowering tomato leaf thankfully had a bad run in with that recently. Having said all that you really have to love gardenia to love this properly. As far as white flowers go I am all about the lilies and not a huge fan of gardenia nor jasmine, and both are pretty prominent here. A touch powdery and creamy, very nice blend, however if you're anything like me and like to zone in on certain flowers this may be a try before you buy scent. ** 200 samples for swap UK - check my customs, 10+ bundles, get in touch! **

Got a sample of Gardez Moi and upon smelling it right out of the sample vial, I thought it was outstanding, bright, fresh, and full bottle worthy. As I was already wearing something else, I waited till the next day to actually apply any to my skin. Sadly, on my skin, the musk in this became overpowering and made me change my mind about getting a full bottle. The only gardenia I have in my collection is Liz Taylor Gardenia, which is realistic and lovely, but longevity is poor. I'll keep looking for a realistic white floral scent with some staying power that isn't adulterated with synthetic musk.

Got a sample a while ago, and kind of forgot it. I remembered it was pleasant, and that was it. I sprayed it on, rainy day in july, and i got projected in a greenhouse, like butterflies' house in zoo. Vibrant, green with a heavy dose of aromatics which i like, maybe a tad bit medicinal. The blend is so well done that' i actually have a hard time to pinpoint the note, but i can attest that the green and botanical vibe is here

Gardez Moi Jovoy Paris A Gardenia in very creamy, cosmetic, velvet slight vintage rendition. But strong Violet peak-thought, kind of Waxy, Plasticky. Smooth Blend,doesn't feel too lustrous. Complex but in route of 90's Gardenia perfume. (Jasmin with Fruity Nuance) Gardenia by Elizabeth Taylor. It feels good there is still this kind of scent in modern perfumery. almost hit Magnolia territory No, after trial wear.

If you're into white florals, please check this out. There's a sweetness and spiciness to it that makes it tolerable for me, but it confirms that I'm just really not into strong florals. At all. I feel like a wandering bouquet of gardenias and lilies. Beautiful, but not for me. After 6 hours: has faded quite a bit but still there. A lot softer (more pleasant to me), but not very noticeable anymore.

soapy musk lily.. Well... i personally don't like lilies because of their dirty musky water smell! it has that dense white floral (mostly lily and the lily of the valley) mixed with ylang, huge doses of musk, cedar, aldehyde, soap, & more lilies. I can't detect the gardenia as much i am detecting the lilies. I personally not into this but i encourage those who admires the white floral lilies.

A realistic fresh flower bouquet in a water pot, as the perfumer describes it. This is very close to Kiss my name by Ramon Monegal, that's why I kind of regretted buying this type of scent again. But this Gardez-moi is more fresh. Edit: this needs overspraying to get his full power and aura. The flowers are so delicate that with 5 spray in a hot weather you will not get much out of it.

It really is not as complicated as it looks. More than 90% of it is indolic Jasmin. I also fantasize about white Lilies and Tuberose. That's pretty much it! Totally agree with Ramon Monegal comparison, but his perfume is even more indolic and long lasting. نمیدونم چی بگم در مورد این ادکلن.ولی خب یه ادکلن کاملا گلی از نوع یاس و... احتمالا برای خیلیا باعث سر درد بشه.کم کم ملایم میشه و بوش خیلی دلنشین میشه .اولش شایدحس کنید یه ادکلن خیلی معمولی و ارزون قیمت دارید تست میکنید .ولی به مرور اوضاع بهتر میشه ولی خب بازم در حد این قیمتش نیست
