Tender Peach

J-Scent’s “Tender Peach” (or Green Peach as its Japanese name translates to) is a sweet, bright, and slightly green fragrance reminiscent to an underripe white peach you might find at an outdoor farmer’s market. Wet on the skin, it starts with a flash of citrus notes before it gains a fuzzy yet crisp quality that keeps the white peach heart note from being overly cloying. The drydown on it produces a nice soft musk that remains close to the skin. While I quite love this fragrance by itself, I find it truly shines best when layered on top of a perfume that will amplify its best qualities. I frequently pair it with perfumes like Zoologist’s “Hummingbird” during the warmer portions of the year.

brightly green and fresh upon opening but quickly becomes a tart peachy aroma with a creamy tuberose and a subtle dewy rose. To my nose it’s not astringent or sharp, I get a lot of creaminess especially from the florals and sandalwood. The dry down is more musky, still peach heavy but with an added hint of raspberry that makes it more fruity, and a bit lighter. Love this one and was surprised to see it not be well received!

All fragrances in this line are pretty poor performers, and are fairly linear. However they are extremely photorealistic to what they claim to portray - and this one in particular is actually a lot stronger than the others. It smells EXACTLY like a fizzy peach drink. I never wear this, I just spray it to feel nostalgic about Japan.

bought this secondhand on a whim, definitely getting that "unripe fruit" note, it's also a little soapy, and reminds me in a pleasant way of a chalky peach candy, like a pez or something like that. nice on it's own, but definitely going to try layering it with some milky/vanilla scents.

a very green peach, a bit more like the asian white peaches instead of the yellow ones americans are familiar with. I enjoy it, though the peach note lasts for a while and can stick to clothing for an extraordinarily long time, surviving the washer for a sometimes annoying outcome

This is a pretty linear, sweet peach scent with a bit of tang and creamy softness. If anything, it smells like a wearable Yoplait peach yogurt scent. I think it's a little bit too sweet for my taste.

Personal: 6/10 - It's a fairly natural smelling juicy peach fragrance, but it doesn't blow me away. At all. It's weirdly animalic. Mass appeal: 7/10 - Fruity sweetness is easy to enjoy, but may be a bit too animalic or 'youthful' for some. Performance: 7/10 - Moderate longevity. Lays pretty close to the skin, though. Value: 7/10 - It's actually an affordable niche fragrance. Sample first, but it's very attainably priced. Uniqueness: 7.5/10 - I've never smelled something quite like this one. Nothing groundbreaking, and fruity perfumes are common, but this one is particularly authentic. SCORE: 69/100 Full bottle buy? NO. Despite its affordability, I personally couldn't wear this fragrance frequently. Blind buy? YES, peach lovers will be happy, and for the price it's actually pretty safe. Beware, there is a bit of an animalic note. Recommend? YES, if you want a sweet, natural, peachy fragrance. Date night? YES, playful and bright. Rather casual, though. Office safe? YES, light and inoffensive. Pros: Vivid, natural peach sweetness. Easy to wear. Affordable for niche. Cons: Animalic note is a bit odd. Green notes are also present, so not universally appealing. Very vivid peach with animalic, green undertones. I really do enjoy it, but it's not something I find easy to wear. It's interesting, and for the price, people could easily blind buy it, or even sample it for cheap. It's a great fragrance for the price, and is something that more people should smell. It really does smell a bit odd to my nose, but it seems others don't experience the same loud green or animalic notes that I do. Fun, fruity, fresh (ish). Not a sun-drunk, syrupy peach, but a firm white Asian peach: pale, crisp, slightly under-ripe, with a surprisingly persistent green accord in the opening. On my skin, especially in Middle Eastern air, Tender Peach never quite travels to the promised flowers, musk or sandalwood. It stays mostly in that green-white-peach register, clean and polite, without becoming creamy or sensual. Very much a morning office scent. I even wore it to the gym, which says everything: it will not kill anyone, offend anyone, or announce a dramatic inner life before 9 a.m. Quiet, fresh, well-behaved – a peach with a work permit.

I tried this again with a much heavier application, just to see. Starts with a bit of alcohol (maybe wine?), then dries very quickly through successive layers of fruit. I get a bit of peach, but also something more like undifferentiated fruit soda. Used with a heavier hand, the musk comes out quickly and with some force. Ends with some floral/vanilla/apricot that lingers for a little bit. I love both peach and tea, but I don't really get them from this. Fortunately (given that I don't love it), this was there and gone again, total time about an hour.

I’m just not a fan of this. The opening is astringent and green and made me almost gag. It’s not tender smelling and honestly, it doesn’t really smell a lot like peach, it just adds a little sweetness. This perfume is definitely more unisex than feminine and it kind of has a men’s cologne undertone to it. It also doesn’t last very long, maybe 1/2 hour, though I can’t say I was mad about that, though it did get slightly better after it dried down, it still isn’t something I’ll come back to.

this just smells like grass and powder to me . i guess i would say it smells like a literal peach trees. not a fan

Misses the goalpost--widely. Awful chemical mess. This surprises me, as I have sampled most of their library and this is the first strong dislike.

Young green peach still growing on the blossoming peach tree. Fresh cut green bamboo and crystal clean running water. Also smells like a foaming cleansing liquid or how an ultra clean Japanese spa smells like. There is something starchy there too, not as in fabric starch but as in something edible, soft and faintly sweet... like a green matcha mochi even if matcha isn’t listed, there’s some resemblance there. Perfect for a very pretty minimalist girl who’s very smart but still likes the cute things in life no matter what age; like like collecting Sonny Angels and a mega cute hobonichi and cute af stationary stuff. She’s also supper proper and extremely clean with shiny hair that always smells like fresh shampoo.

On me the first couple minutes are awful--chemical spill hazmat situation. But with 10 minutes of patience it becomes a very simple, wearable fruit scent. Daytime, casual not going to impress anyone much but a decent peachy option--a bit sporty, oddly. But don't leave the house till it settles.

I have to agree with the review that it’s an awful chemical mess. It actually burned me coming out of the sample bottle. And it smells aggressively, violently, like old-fashioned soap. Nothing tender about it.

My second fav J scent. Smells like peach and soap. Peach shampoo. I get a little bit of creaminess from it, a little hint of tuberose and sandalwood. Unique

crisp, bright, green opening. smells like biting into a white peach a few days before it’s ripe. smells like an early spring morning.
