Judy — A Garland Fragrance

I was just gifted this for my birthday and it is my favorite fragrance ever! It’s really strong, but smells heavenly and works for a lot of people. Extremely awesome!

I expected to dislike this, since the fragrance Judy was known to wear, Ma Griffe, does not seem appealing. My husband is researching The Wizard of Oz, and I bought a sample for him as a little joke. I really like it! It is not a young fresh scent but more of a nod to the spice of Opium and Obsession in the 80s, with a softer touch to modernize it, probably the tonka and pink pepper. Patchouli is very light or nonexistent to me. I'd call it a spicy creamy vanilla. Wonderful for a cold time of year. The sample was $8, free shipping, and the company actually sent me 3, good thing because one sprayer did not work. I immediately ordered the body spray which was less than $20 with free shipping! I am not sure if this is different from the 100th anniversary version; the notes and maker are the same, and they were released the same year, 2022. Hmmmm.

Just got back from watching the Wizard of Oz at the Sphere and this was available in a special themed box. I sprayed the sampler and smelled it throughout the night. I agree with the other reviewer that this is very similar to Black Orchid by Tom Ford. It is sexy and rich. Very universally appealing. I would say if you love the Black Opium/Black Orchid vibe of fragrances, this is a great blind buy. I bought this as a souvenir at first, but now I’ve decided to open it and use it in my weekly winter rotation. Love.

This is beautiful. It is REMARKABLY similar to Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, but slightly sweeter from the caramel note. Love it.
