Viva La Juicy Elixir

I got this, thinking I would only be getting a more potent version of the original Viva La Juicy EDP. Though it certainly had the same DNA, the difference is surely noticeable, at least evidently to my nose. The original is honeysuckle and gardenia forward. It’s also excessively sweetened by the presence of praline, caramel, and amber. The berry notes were an afterthought, and only the mandarin is making it citrusy, though it is faint. The base sweet notes overpower what little citrus notes it has, and on warm days, even the floral notes become invisible. This elixir, however, got the blend perfectly! I can actually smell the florals, even if honeysuckle is missing. The berries are also finally dominant enough to add citrusy notes to the preexisting mandarin. The sweetness was toned down with the omission of praline. The caramel was substituted with brown sugar, which is a welcome change. The darker sweetness of brown sugar proved to add depth to this sweet concoction. Also, the woody notes have finally presented themselves! I can actually smell it especially in the dry-down. This is truly a stronger blend, and easily lasts me 10+ hours on skin and even longer on clothes. Projection is actually pretty good, not explosive, but enough to leave a trail. I got many compliments from wearing this one, enough to have people stopping me and asking what I’m wearing. I love this version more than the original!

Is this groundbreaking and completely different than VLJ and its flankers? No. Do I love it and think it’s an extremely wearable fragrance? Yes. This is very similar to VLJ but seems to be more well rounded if that makes any sense. I also feel it’s longer lasting than the original, and I like this one a lot more. Definitely give it a try if you enjoy the VLJ scent profile. I’m actually surprised I like this so much compared to a lot of other new releases. Some may say it’s basic, but I love it and think it’s perfect for everyday wear for people of any age. I am going to buy a full bottle ASAP.

I love viva la juicy and all of the flankers. This resembles the original, obviously, but it smells more creamy and orange to me. So delicious ! I love it

This is like Lattafa Haya but a bit more sexy. I guess Haya a dupe of this tho.

I feel like they finally aced the formula this time around. Sexy & nostalgic!

zero emotions about this. and even though i don’t like to complain about perfume prices, $140 for Viva La Juicy flanker is indeed diabolical.

My turn to review ! I was never one to collect juicy or have them all at onetime .. I think my first one was back in 2016/17/18 when I had the really old one couture couture which was not my fave Then I got rose Then gold Bubbly Floral Moi Etc All of them I got rid of because they all smell identical, naturally slight difference in a twang of note here and there Jc Elixir is my end all be all juicy perfume . I was not wowed at first because it was just giving the exact same feel I got from gold however things took a pleasant surprise when I started getting whiffs later in the day and it felt so calming and comforting Then I was more surprised when I woke up the next morning and can still smell it where I sprayed it on the same spot from the other day even with hand washing and i was sold. I went purchased it the next day .. I’m a lover of the base notes . Rolled my eyes at the jasmine when I saw it was there but thankfully and most gratefully I do not pick up on that overly floral jasmine scent even tho there’s 2 different jasmine varieties in here . Iykyk I can interpret brown sugar in here and that would be the first time I actually smelled what brown sugar smells like to me .. it’s sitting nicely right beside what might be the tonka bean, coumarin, musk, and vanilla.. the base notes sing on my skin. The florals are toned down and I love that there’s berry compute and orange note , sweet enough from the berry jam and not too acidic or sour or too citrusy that veers into air -freshener -for- the -car- territory. I genuinely feel bad ppl aren’t getting these wonderful nuances Lovely. Super sexy Eager to spend more time with it reaching for it often to see if it would be a repeat purchase . I have a little over 100 bottles in my collection. . For me to daydream buying another bottle a day after acquiring one is manic...irresponsible ......unnecessary ................ Which I mean I’m not like gonna do that or anything *nervous chuckle * Also me: “yes that’ll be on the Macys card”

With anything f/ this brand, I need to guard my ❤️, because their new releases always seem to disregulate my nervous system. It’s difficult not hitting Apple Pay while simultaneously giving myself a good talking to about the merits of remembering that “history typically repeats itself”, or how “if someone, or some thing), keeps showing you who or what they really are...you should believe them”. Le sigh: # 1st world problems are often so mortifying. For the most part, there’s about 6 of the flankers that have the same dry down as the OG, & this looks like that. If I could just master the practice of walking away from: jasmine 💐caramel🍮, red berries🍓 & Gardenia🌸, my children may actually get an inheritance of some sort one rainy, I’m dead day. But tbh I’m still probably going to own this, & it will be part of my estate that will need to be auctioned off at pennies on the dollar, because I tend not to listen to my brain when it comes to Juicy. At first, it smells exactly like the original. But then I’m getting more of a cocoa note with a white floral like in good girl perfume. Much creamier as well. This is a sweeter take while having same OG DNA. Pretty. Smells like a Barbie. I still like it. I’ll see if worth keeping bec my fav is the noir flanker which lasts a long time on me and has a more musky base. I don’t tend to like ultra sweet scents. Update:There is something that smells slightly off to my nose in this one that reminds me of pas ce soir by bdk. Like rotten creamy fruit or floral. Not sure exactly. I don’t think others will notice it, but I’m extremely sensitive. It will be returned.

Beautiful scent profile especially if you are looking for a gardenia scent. It's a real flanker of the original and Gold Couture, but the tonka and brown sugar just add an extra lift and airiness to it. A true floral that lasts and projects. You can mix this with any viva la juicy or with either of the gucci gardenia perfumes.

Smells good , but resemble the og viva, noir and gold... and none of them seem to last! I have noir, lattafa haya, body fantasy sweet sunrise , and tease body mist! Haya and tease seem to last the longest on me , so I'm good on this DNA.The only JC worth buying for longevity is the original JC for women!

The bottle is very pretty. But I am 100% sure this smells just like all the other flankers... Which is EXACTLY LIKE THE OG. I went into the mall the other day to smell all the JC line and none of them smelled different from the other.

$140 for viva la juicy is insane. Disgusting. I purchased le bubbly for $100 which included a travel spray in 2020. Now 6 years later it's 40 dollars more.

This is the same as viva la juicy but actually lasts less time. Should have known better. Wait till it hits 2nd vendors.
