Callisto

I have enjoyed my sample and decided to purchase a bottle. For me it’s a beautifully unique vanilla-tonka-heliotrope type scent with a sparkly aldehyde-neroli-pink-pepper opening and a plush, resinous base (probably the benzoin). Complex but just lovely! Vanilla but it feels more luminous or shimmery rather than syrupy (which I am over). I think it is very underrated. But that’s ok, I’ll keep enjoying it myself! Moderate projection with good longevity.

If you like fragrances like TF Mettalique, Navitus Kind Intentions, Ledda Orris 22 or ELDO The Ghost in the Shell then you’d probably like this. It’s actually pretty similar to Ghost in the Shell but sweeter and more powdery due to heliotrope. This is absolutely perfect to me, great everyday & office scent. The right amount of sweetness, leaning feminine. Love it!

Really pleasantly surprised by this one, reminds me of my beloved Valaya Exclusif a lot. Will definitely use up the whole sample I received to decide if it is a full bottle-worthy.

I would be really into this fragrance if it wasn’t for the overdose of ambroxan/amberwood stuff that comes out during the heart and dominates the dry down. The open though, the top notes, are really cool, featuring a dense honeyed neroli that is aerated and lightened by aldehydes. The aldehydes give a dry fluffy effect and feel very modern; and then pink pepper comes in and makes everything pop. I’m sensitive to Amber fixatives though so when that familiar smell started to dominate everything else, a couple hours after first spraying Callisto, I was out. The amber in this will last on skin for more than 24 hours. But for someone who is not bothered by that, I recommend trying Callisto as a way to wear a honey citrus floral that has a paradoxical and unexpected lightness to it.

Really nice. Light and airy vanilla. Might lean slightly too feminine for my personal taste.

In full agreement with the previous reviewer. This would be one of the most interesting and beautiful fragrances in my collection if not for the ambroxan/ambrofix type note in the drydown. The opening is stunning and complex and enthralling. Then it smells just like some basic clone type perfume that relies on amberwoods for substance. Wildly disappointing as the first hour or two were wonderful. Edit: next day on a sweater smelled amazing. Would be a masterpiece without the cheap ambro-type horror note.

I’m getting honeyed florals similar to Scandal by JPG. Could have Parfum Exquis sent me the wrong sample? I know Scentsplit sent me Dulce Diablo instead of Dolce Melodia and I ended up buying Dulce Diablo and was very surprised when I got it. Hmm..anyone else get a strong honey note?

Very sweet and thick extrait so go easy on the sprays. Feminine aldehydic pink pepper notes lift the heart of heliotrope and iris cloaked in tonka. More musk than vanilla at drydown. I like to wear this perfume occasionally in a measured way.. spritz and walk into the droplets. ✨

A fresh gourmand scent. I’m not the biggest fan of aldehydes so it wasn’t a love for me but it’s nice, especially the dry down. Good performance and longevity.
