White Spirit

I have just tried this beautiful fragrance . First reaction was - a silly wide smile.. It had a magnificent opening with dominating tuberose - j would say almost identical to TF Jasmine Rouge (as its one of my favourites - there is no doubt about that)... The first wave of white florals leave an unforgettable imprint in your memory, as if setting the tone to the rest of the story... BUT almost instantaneously this fresh and subtle feminine bouquet (I should mention that there is no attempt to make florals a vulgar front sitter of the composition, it's quite non- offensive ) intertwines with almost something "industrial" - that pushes the whole frag into unisex territory... I was very attracted and buffled at the same time while trying to find myself in it:-)) -that's right : I lost my identity or, to put it in another way, happily gave it up, succumbed to the ultra extremes of the perfume:-) I Couldnt stop sniffing my wrists... And funnily enough - within half an hour you won't feel it yourself but the others will - more and more. My husband (usually just tolerating the whole perfume hobby) was quite "hands on" this one ... What a great magnet !! As time passes, it senda of occasional "white musk" powerful impulses just for you - to remind you that you are the privileged one to wear it today. Highly recommend for all the musk fans - it's such a great experience - quite unexpected from JHAG house this time... The "weapon" that Ricci made available unlicensed.... Beware:-)

Ok this is my 2nd review for White Spirit. My 1st one was in December of 2022. So 🎶 it’s been a whileee 🎵 I no longer have My Way Intense to compare it to. But I believe my nose has gotten more trained because, if I go by my memory, sure this shares a grape candy tuberose, but that’s generally where the real similarities end. Right away, White Spirit shows its retail price in the beautiful, subtle layering of notes. It actually smells niche, despite the popular purple grape candy tuberose scent profile involved. The base notes come together quickly to diffuse that grape bubblegum scent. I believe the sandalwood is adding what I detect to be a spice. It smells warm, deep, dark as night, a touch spicy, fuzzy, maybe what you’d imagine a fantasy midnight purple cat to smell like. 🐈But combine an OG goth with a colorful goth & you get the scent of White Spirit (I’ve always had a problem with this name but now especially since I’m relating it to darkness... lol). If you want an OG goth scent, check out Velvet Expressive from Commodity! But if you don’t mind a little sunshine, White Spirit is wonderful, for those of us alt at heart but don’t give a sh*t what others think of us even if we’re in pastel pink hoodies and hotpink hair and distressed black jean shorts. Let it be an underdog... But discontinue it and I will hold a funeral for this gorgeous perfume.

Super unusual, it puts a halo around you , a white milky creamy cloud of musk and ambroxan with a hefty dose of tuberose. What great fluffy sexy aura it creates. White spirit is indeed a great name for this fragrance. Very unusual , this is what I was hoping ,not a perfume would smell like. I was beginning to think I can't smell ambroxan but thank good I can here. It's a very strange experience. I am loving it. A clean fluffy white smell , sweet but airy sweet so no cloing what so ever. It's like angels breath in white fluffy clouds , heavenly. I love most bases with ceder and sandalwood as well as amber. It makes for a creamy smell , this is no exception. Pur fluffed up airy milky creamy goodness with a sweet dose of tuberose. Signature worthy ! The perfume is the colour of milk , how fitting. Update , super strong stuff. Can be smelled a day later in the room you sprayed it. In the room it leaves a clean Oder like deodorant just sprayed , slightly chemical and a little like cleaning solution , I do not think it smells that harsh on the skin , nor that strong.

White Spirit is a fantastic,ethereal,sophisticated and amber/floral. I love this fragrance, it leaves a unique wake of,evanescent and paradisiacal. I like the tuberose that continues in the middle notes, the ambroxan here is well balanced with the other notes. And'an eau de parfum extremely beautiful and complex...I love it. The woody notes of sandalwood combined with amber and cedar are extraordinary. Masterpiece by Juliette Has A Gun. Sillage: 9/10 Longevity: 9.5/10 Scent: 10./10 Overall: 10./10.

Such an unusual fragrance that at first sharply takes my breath away. I can’t put my finger on it, but I’m absolutely addicted once it warms and drys down, and I find myself sniffing my wrist all day, loving the subtle changes. Ahh the ambroxan and tuberose on top of woods. Complex yet simple. This scent lingers and caresses ethereally, and once I’m wearing it I feel it envelops me. A precious scent that I’m obsessed with and has a life of its own when it’s on my skin.

Yesterday i tried this one.First impression: different from normal Juliettes,not sweet,not sour notes,nothing compared to Midnight Oud or others i tried or own.Fresh kinda start and going wild by the minutes,and then the dryout,ohhhh what a perfume,wild and almost man on my skin but woman enough to want a bottle.Expensive stuff tho,almost 300 euros and not afforded at the moment.Level:Waiting.

I must love ambroxan, because this is divine: tuberose tamed by a several woods, mostly cedar to me. Creamy, fluffy, mysterious. I chose to wear it on my birthday. Maybe I will splurge for a bottle. A fumehead friend recommended it to me, and she was right, thank you KRP!

To me it smells like Not a Perfume with a white floral/grape candy flair from the tuberose. I really like this one. But the price, eh-eh! I’ll just stick with My Way Intense for a very similar scent profile.

Heavenly. Ambroxan always works wonders.

Super creamy tuberose and jasmine combination. There’s the faintest touch of spice or smoke to my nose, which reminds me of a soy candle, but it almost smells unscented because it’s so light. Whatever I do smell is sweet, cozy and warm. I had blind bought this, and I was expecting it to be a Spring and Summer (floral and citrusy) scent, but it could very well be worn during Fall—make that all four seasons. Not sure about projection. It is ultimately a diluted mix of Rouge Malachite and Commodity Milk-.

There are *clean* and *dirty* jasmine fragrances - this one's clean, a bit sharp and chemical, and pretty weak - I wear it when I'm overstimulated and can't stand to smell anything on myself. A bit like clean sheets in a good hotel. Still, not worth the price imho.

Very similar to Nishane’s hundred silence way. But while nishane give us a very smooth sweet- tuberose scents. This one give us a sharp, synthetic, sweet tuberose (I think it because of ambroxan). Still, i like it overall. Great performance and good price!

Just tested it today and it immediately reminded me of the latest release Lil Fantasy. Basicalky the same scent. If you like Rouge malachite, Givenchy amarige, you will like this one.

I love love this! Best musk base note ever. And it lasts forever.

Upon first spray, the ambroxan just slaps your face. It dissipates quickly and then you're left with a classic white floral, tuberose-heavy smell. You can also make out the musk, it feels intimate, not something that projects much. I get some creaminess too, even though the ambroxan drowns it - maybe it'll come out more later during the dry down process. It's the first perfume from JHAG that I smelled and thought "that's why people dislike the brand". The opening is very screechy. Kinda like a Not a Perfume variation. I tried it as a sample from their website, but I don't think it's worth the full bottle price point. There's not much unique about it.

Average white floral, very light , Boring.

It's the ambroxan. At least that's what I choose to tell myself. It's all I smell, and not in a good way. NOT in the same way others experience it. At least I don't think so. I hope, beyond hope I'm simply anosmic to ambroxan, because if not, Juliette doesn't have a gun, she has an inkwell :( White Spirit, for me, lives in the same realm as Molecule 02 and JHaG Not a Perfume. Characterless, minimalistic, angular and thoroughly sanitized. I feel as if it has been stripped of any identifying fingerprints that would make it memorable, any that would make it even a perfume! With the tuberose, and jasmine notes listed and milky white bottle, I was anticipating something floral and creamy, ethereal even. I didn't get it. After the first few minutes, White Spirit, smells only of ink, chemicals and well...nothing. I can and do, say the same of both Not a Perfume and Molecule 02. I just wish I didn't have to. Noteworthy Notes --the lack of notes is noteworthy --ink accord *sigh* This is so strange.

When I think of the phrase “white spirit” I think of an extremely high-proof alcohol either drunk by desperate alcoholics or used as a cleaning solvent, or conversely a benevolent ghost-like being floating among us. This perfume is completely the former; there’s nothing benevolent in its sharp nostril singeing top notes or its chemical stew of a dry down. In other words, I do not recommend.

It is just like its name, spirit, I don't know this one is really exist. there's duddie tuberose's tared aparts that barely become a tuberose, like big fail of making Frankenstein's creature. Airy scent, Hedione and ambers. nothing worth its price.

Beautiful opening followed by the sharp molecular ultrascreech beast that’s ruining too many current perfumes. (e.g. Vanilla Powder, Valaya, Carioca Heart)

Freaking horrific! I almost broke my neck trying to get away from it. Hell! Who buys this stuff? Damn I’m still feeling angry from smelling this thing. Incredibly nasty - if licking battery had a smell it would be this - a visceral electrical blast to the sinuses. White zinc powder and an insanely sour metallic overload. Like a few others have mentioned the ambroxan just wipes out anything else.

Whoever thinks price of this blend is ok or rated is as cheap must be insane. All it is is these compounds : ambroxan, white musk, indole, lactone, benzyl acetate. It's something anyone can easily make themselves at home for couple of euros. 220 eur retail is insane for something this simple and basic smelling.

I'm really surprised how less people has reviewed this frangrance. This is a bit different than the other frangrances in line. I find this perfume being in between the house's two other fragrances which stand for two different characters presented by this house - one being soft floral-airy, and other being heavy musky-floral. In contrast to feminine, heavy, musky and ambery Oil Fiction, White Spirit is more airy, soft and despite being on the feminine side, it seems to me as an asexual fragrance. I think this is why people consider it not worth buying a bottle. But for me, this aspect is what makes it a masterpiece of this house. Though it resembles Not a Perfume, it is, on my skin and for my conception, less flowery. Everybody states that they conceive nothing but tuberose. But i found the tuberose here, combined with ambroxan, smelling exactly like gunpowder, which creates the distinct character of this perfume. After a while, it turns to be more of a flowery scent, but just on the skin. It doesn't change much on fabric. Juliette really has a gun, but with flowers, literally.

White Spirit is a gentle floral scent, the tuberose plays center stage, without being bold , although it doesn't project much, longevity on my skin is good...it is like the name implies, luminous, cheerful, soft...like an aura perfume, when you want to be surrounded by a gentle aroma...very feminine, definitely a smoother gentler perfume by JHAG..very attractive scent, the heart has a bit of a musky soapy undertone...I agree with Germany that it is a fluffy white scent..! The base though isn't as interesting, it turns into a clean scent, a bit sharp, lots of jasmine....I personnally don't detect any woodsy notes, or Amber . Now, I find the price high for a pretty tuberose scent...although it is a quality perfume.,,still not sure I would buy it...I don't find it real complex, but certainly a pleasure to wear! I think you would like it even if you aren't fond of tuberose. Now the concept seems more intriguing than the juice itself. Update: upon trying to again, I decided not to buy a bottle.lit is a soft tuberose, not worth the high price in my views.

Sprayed this in Harrods while visiting London a few weeks ago. The most beautiful smell emerged that I could not stop sniffing away at; that was until it dried down to the base level, where I had to wash it off. Top and middle notes were amazing, unfortunately the base note ( the one that lingers the longest) reminded me of like the remnant a cheap hairspray that you can smell on old ladies following a blue rinse and roller set. However, as we all know, perfumes react differently on every skin so maybe this is just not good for mine! Only way to know is to try it yourself, but try before you buy, preferably the day before.

White spirit has been rebottled to the standard JHAG cylinder recently, which is how I became aware of it. A member in the reviews years ago mentioned Narcotic V, which I would have to agree with. It’s almost like a wash of Narcotic V sitting on top of JHAG’s Not A Perfume base. This perfume is for white floral lovers, because it is front and center on the drydown. I think it’s worth a pick up on sale, but for the retail price I would rather grab something niche in the same vein - Nishane Tuberoza, Narcotic V or even Matiere Premiere French Flower.

I can smell the faintest whisper of tuberose when I spray in on, and that lasts for maybe an hour tops. Then it’s just transparent blonde woods. I like this more than Anyway, and less than Not a Perfume. But it was a good one to wear to the dentist office because I didn’t want to offend my dentist with a strong perfume. I wouldn’t buy it though, I would rather buy Not a Perfume if a want a minimalist perfume. I like the scent of that one better, it’s just a personal preference.

Another pleasant but boring JHaG. Squeaky clean with some pretty florals. A good white floral for people who don't actually really like white florals; if you find tuberose too green or jasmine too skanky you may want to try this. A prim, pristine white floral. Edit: Holy smokes, this stuff lasts forever though! Really impressive longevity.

one of the most fabulous and exclusive perfumes ever made. i never want to be without it. it is absolutely hypnotising and unique. it smells like nothing I've ever smelled before. intriguing and luxurious. A master piece. If you are considering a blind buy - do it! you will not be disappointed.

Does anyone else pick up a slight industrial note blended beautifully with the flowers? White Spirit is my fave from the limited edition line. Moon Dance spells 'old lady frag' sadly and Oil Fiction is too soapy on me but lovely presentation and I'm sold on this one in particular.

Smells like a better blended nondescript floral (Versace Bright Crystal, Stella, Chloe, etc.) without the sharp synthetic note and higher quality ingredients. Is it a good floral? Yes very well blended and not synthetic. Is it worth 200$+ heck no lol...

If anyone is willing to send me a decant of this, please PM me! My vouches are listed on my profile. I’m hoping to get at least 5ml so I can really try it before I invest. This looks to be right up my alley though! Hopefully I can find a decant soon!

this perfume contains several powerful aromachemicals: ambroxan and ambrocenide. If you are super sensitive to ambrocenide like I am, you will want to steer clear of this. It drove a spike right up my nose and gave an instant migraine.

I'll have to come back to this one but right now the heavy ambroxan is making it smell a lot like Glossier Doux to me. I like it though I just wasn't expecting to find them so similar.

First spray and I detect the vibe of Narcotic Venus Nasomatto and something similar to JHAG anyway. Very weak and airy. Not perfume material.

This is the third fragrance from the luxury line... I guess it's safe to say his favorite note is tuberose
