London Eye

Glad to see that the 'Just Jack' series by Sterling has finally been added in here... even if that happened after the brand ceased production,.. The early opening will have some citrus, cardamom, pepper and coriander stop-by quickly. Shortly after, it morphs into a stunning spicy combination (mostly cumin and saffron), with a fecal facet. The heart will develop a noticeable incensy labdanum note (even if soft). The base is all about an animalic musk and saffron-y wood, giving a decent impression of westernized oud, in the same manner as Guerlain - Bois Mysterieux. While scent profile is often spot-on, performance is also often the weakness of affordable fragrances, and this one is no exception, with a soft projection. That said, its democratic price point will allow for overspraying, to reach a longevity of up to 3-4 hours. Inspired by Tom Ford London (that I had now a chance to smell), and very close to it indeed. 4/5 for the original, which has the same low performance than its clone, but 5/5 for JJ London Eye, which is nearly identical and retails for... 20-30X less (!!) Highly recommended. Just Jack? No... just wow!

My fella wears this and the other great Just Jack fragrance 'Fanta Fab'. This smells exactly like a dusty old Super 8 cinefilm projector when you turn it on and thread the film through the dusty light. For someone brought up with home movies, this is a very nostalgic and niche fragrance. Sadly can't seem to get hold of these really nice fragrances that easily anymore.

this is really good. longevity isn't that great though. it seems to have oud shavings (like physical oud shavings) in the perfume itself, which is new. it's a nice kind of oud, not skanky at all.

One of my least favourite "Just jacks" But I still really like this. It has notes of deep woods and some coffee. Good performance. Fantastic value and it scrapes in as a love from me.

There's absolutely undoubtedly a poopy note in the opening. If they wanted to capture some of the original's animalic facet IMO they achieved it. The dry down is much more conventional and acceptable.
