I'm so surprised by all the dislikes for this perfume. I thought it was very nice smelling. I think everyone has to realize the majority of his fan base is 10-15 year old girls so of course his scents aren't going to smell musky, powdery, woody, etc. I personally think the bottle is cute, I love the colors, but it's kind of annoying when you want to spray some perfume because the plastic "cage" moves and, to me, the plastic part is just not necessary. The lasting power of this is about 5 hours, and the sillage is not that strong. You'd have to sniff someone up close to smell it. It's so nice smelling. On my skin you can smell the apricot, citrusy mandarin and sweet ripe strawberry a lot. Such a delicious combo, gah! I wore it out to a family dinner and my sister kept grabbing my arm to smell, lol! She just kept saying "I so want this. I wish I had it right now please buy me it for my Birthday--IT SMELLS SO GOOD LET ME SNIFF AGAAAIN!" (She's 20 years old.) She also has Someday, and when I went to her house, I brought Girlfriend so we could compare and I can not say they smell the same. Unless you count them both being fruity as "the same scent". Girlfriend is much fruitier, like, distinct? Someday just smells like a fruity concoction, but Girlfriend you can tell which fruit you are smelling and that is absolutely fabulous, I love it. I definitely recommend this to fruity perfume lovers of any age, this is a favorite of mine and it's just.. perfect for me. I am OBSESSED with fruity scents and this is the best I've ever had. Ayo! Love, love, love it. 11/10

I'm seriously loving all of JB's perfumes and I'm nowhere near the target market for these (being 47!), they are fun perfumes and shouldn't be taken as serious scents. This one is very fruity and mellow on me, nice and sweet but not overpoweringly so. It's a nice lounging around the house or going out doing chores scent, I doubt I would wear it on date night unless the husband really likes it, but he (like oh so many men) love the sweety scents, I swear if we smell like food or candy they love it! Bought the travel spray of this and may go back for another (or a rollerball), the full sized bottle is just a tad wacky for me...it is creative but a little goofy. Unfortunatly none of JB's perfumes last very long on me, they all hit about 3 hours and vanish. The sillage is good though! Let me just state I am not a fan of JB, his activity as of late is a bit bizarre, but I'll not judge a perfume by the name behind it, I judge it by if I like it or not, nothing else. :0)

This smells like a Victoria Secret fragrance 100%. Amazing because you get an expensive VS fragrance ,without the hefty pricetag. That is why it is perplexing to me as to why this did not receive good feedback from the perfumista community? But to each is own, I LOVE this! Yes it’s totally generic, but sometimes these fruity, musky, teeny scents are comfortable for casual wear. I feel this one is underated, very cute packaging although awkward a bit. The sillage is alright ,I need occasional touch ups. I bought the complete set for $32.00 with the lotion & shower gel. I like to layer the scent over the other two for better staying power. Hubby likes this one on me.

Fresh, clean, sweet, youthful. Just don't wear too much of this perfume at once. It isn't off-putting, smells a bit like Ed Hardy. (the first one that he made for women, in the pink tattoo bottle, I forgot the name). And the best part is that admitting that you are wearing a Beiber perfume could be hilarious. In order for my reviews to remain authentic and unbiased, I always review scents prior to reading about the fragrance, prior to reading reviews, and prior to reading the accords. Ok so I'm not of fan of Justin but I couldn't pass the deal of this being only $9.99 for a 100ml bottle at TJMaxx!! With that said I actually really like this perfume! For a fruity floral its long lasting and the blackberry,strawberry & apricot stand out the most to me with hints of vanilla orchid.....I love it and have gotten complimented the past few times I've worn it(even my husband loves it on me) The bottle packaging is lame IMO the plastic swirled around feels tacky and cheap lol but I guess from afar its kinda cute...the scent alone makes up for it!

This takes me back to the time I started dating my husband at 15. This was the first perfume he bought me, and I fell in love with him as I made my way through the bottle. So of course, this perfume is very special to me. I purchased a new bottle 10 years later, and love it just the same. It feels like it's a part of who I am. It brings back so many beautiful memories of falling in love and everything that comes along with it. This is still just as wearable in my 20s, and never has been too sweet or too juvenile to my nose. It's just perfect.

''Girlfriend'' is a gorgeous perfume!! It is a fruity, sweet and powdery scent. I would say that it is a fruitier and juicier version ''Someday'' by Justin Bieber. I can definitely smell the blackberry, the mandarin orange, the orange blossom, the vanilla orchid and the musk. In general a very fruity smell. It also smells a little bit like hairspray but a good one. I love this! It is also powdery as well. A tiny bit floral too. Beautiful fragrance at a great price. Longevity is very good.

Very similar to Pink Friday n Someday n they say Viva La Juicy plus good longevity. I love Someday n hoped to love this but there's the FREESIA note that on me goes from my wrist straight to my tongue. For some odd reason Fressia does that to me..weird..ugh.. I want to love it but that note... i just can't... So if u are a sweet floral girl n you like Freesia then give this a try! I think my daughter might like it, she loves Someday, her sig scent!!

One of the most gorgeous bottles I've ever seen - I love it! Fabulous colours - fantastic. Bizarre and razzmatazz!! And the perfume is really good. Lovely fruits, sweet and juicy, especially the rich blackberry, sweeet lovely strawberry and the juicy pear, and lovely flowers, with also lovely deep and smooth amber and musk. Very very nice, fresh and happy perfume. And it lasts well, and I get lots of compliments. But I adore the bottle!!!

I was expecting something sweet and yucky when i first saw this at the store, but i actually liked it. Fresh, fruity and not overpowering. it may be because i dont like those "special" perfumes that everyone is talking about, that some perfumes are just too neutral and not unique. every scent turns unique on a skin that fits the perfume i think! even this. i dont care if its by JB, i'd buy it but its not so cheap here in norway

I love so much this perfume it is well done I don't mind re aplay sure I will buy more from Justin because price is OK versus quality and the aroma waoh

Honestly, I am not any fan of JB, but well, this fragrance really reminds me of Nicki Minaj Friday or Britney Spears Fantasy :) It really smells great!

Expensive smell in a cheap perfume i love it sooooo much . strawberry floral amber smells so gooooodddd,and it last around 8 hours on my shirt

i used to hate justin bieber for no reason.. now that i own this, i hate to say this but i LOVE the scent.

This lives up to its name and is the Perfect Girlfriend Scent, if you dare to smell edible. God Bless!

I didn't like Someday by Bieber but Girlfriend was unexpectedly lovely. I was expecting something explosive and horrid like Someday which gives me a head ache. Girlfriend is rather pleasant mildly sweet and slightly floral. When I first tested on my skin, I thought it smelled like a better version of Viva La Juicy like the previous reviewer described. Girlfriend isn't as high fructose corn syrupy , cloying, or head ache induced like Viva la Juicy. They both smell similar to me with the exception that Girlfriend doesn't have any of the bad side effect of nausea headache vomit induce I get from Viva La Juicy. Girlfriend has a vanilla amber base that's very soothing especially for colder weather. It's also slightly spicy to give the scent a bit of sexy exotic taste. On me, it's very lasting for a good 8 hours. However, the projection isn't too far. So if you are looking for a perfume that stays close to the body like I do, you might like this one. If you are looking for something that projects across the room, you may not appreciate Girlfriend. I don't know why all the negative review either. I am just happy to find a perfume that's lasting sweet, youthful, non offensive and doesn't give me a head ache. I don't smell a bunch of chemicals in this fragrant like so many on the market. When Girlfriend dries down after a few hours, I do notice it's resemblance to Brook Brother Lady perfume or the newer La Fleur by Juicy Couture .

This is a soft, pleasant fruity floral perfume that fades to a sweet, pretty white musk after an hour. I wouldn't pay top dollar for it now, but it was my go-to choice for when I would go out to a music show or other event at night knowing I'd be sweating and standing in close proximity to others for hours. It was guaranteed to keep me smelling sweet, fresh and clean and not offending anyone who might be in my personal space while I danced and tried to drink a cocktail without getting it spilled all over me. Good times! I'm kind of bummed that Justin Bieber doesn't do fragrances any more, because his were some of my favorite celebrity scents. If you're looking for something similar today, I'd try Viva La Juicy sprayed with a light hand, or Ariana Grande's Sweet Like Candy perfume or body mist.

I fell in love with a tiny sample vial of this after it came out (though it admittedly took months for me to try the vial since the fact it was made by JB was a total turnoff). I've now had the bottle for a couple years and it's nowhere near finished. For me this starts as berries- sweetness and berries that has just a hint of a citrusy tartness. Then a bit of musk layers in. Nowadays it seems the floral shows up much more after the musk... It's almost as if this perfume got louder with time. I still wear this on occasion, but not often. When I first started wearing it, I got questions all the time about what I was wearing that smelled so good... And I would kind of feel goofy telling them it was Justin Beiber's Girlfriend.

I got this as a gift when I was 17 so I can't complain too much about it. It's not something I'd reach for as I like something a little more mature (like Si by Giorgio Armani or Chloe EDP). This scent is very thick to me but it's not a bad scent at all! It's basic but suitable for teenage girls as it's in their budget and the smell is inoffensive. It's fruity and sweet which is basically the accords that are marketed for teen fragrances. The bottle design would probably be the only negative about this fragrance. The actual bottle is encased by a slinky outer that only closes if the magnets are aligned properly. If they aren't aligned, the cover could come right off if the bottle was knocked over.

I do recommend, at first l was disappointed and wanted to sell it, cause when just sprayed it smelled to me like CO2..that akward smell you feel when you open Coke,Fanta...but don't give up in few days your nose will start to pick up some fine notes. I've even gotten compliments, longevity is good, silage too. I even tested it side by side with Ari and Girlfriend is way better in longevity. Ah yes, it smells like sth that could be a flanker to Elizabeth Arden green tea line... which if you like you will this one too. Now I'm reconsidering buying a back up bottle, 50 ml for 10 bucks is as good as it's gets for this quality.

This perfume is identical to Justin's first scent, Someday. I have had to sell both of them and can usually convince people that if one is not available, they should just purchase the other. With all that aside, I do enjoy it. At first, it just screams summer. The scent is not fresh or new at all, it's extremely fruity and the blackberry remains the power to the entire smell. I have nothing against this but as with celebrities, you can't expect it to be much else. Even so, I get compliments every time I wear it and it DOES last for some time which is always a favorite feature of mine.

First off, let me say that I don't care what celebrity is on the front of a box. If it smells good, I'll wear it! I have and enjoy Bieber's The Key and Someday, so when I saw this in the checkout at Marshalls for $4.99 for a 15 mL I thought, why not? It's ok. It's nothing ground breaking or special but I don't think it's meant to be. It smells nice, lasted a good 6 hours on me and projected well. I don't like it as much as The Key or even Someday, but I'll use this for days lounging around the house when I don't want to waste my favorites.

I loved Someday, but when I sprayed this on at Macy's this weekend, I was greatly disapointed. At first spray, all it smelled like was Someday to me. Then,after I waited a while, it just smelled like a more watered down, and a little bit fruitier version of Someday. An hour after being sprayed it was gone, but if I pressed my nose on to my skin, I could faintly smell it...and it smelled exactly like Someday. An hour and a half later and it was completely gone. And I had sprayed like 5 sprays. Lasting power is unbelievebly bad.

Justin Bieber's scents are so basic and boring to me! Someday smelled like vanilla candy perfume that you can find at the drugstore for a third of the price of his marc-jacobs-ripoff-bottle perfume and then this scent smells too similar to someday except it has more berry notes but thats about it. No sale. BTW: WTF is up with this bottle? It looks so much worse in real life. Its one thing to have an ugly bottle of perfume that smells good like selenas perfume but this bottle is ugly and the perfume is boring? Pfft please...

This is a LOT like his first fragrance, no risks taken, they made sure it was boring enough to satisfy the young. I consider myself young as well, but Girlfriend won't a part of my collection. It's lovely enough, sweet enough, but something's missing. Originality? The bottle looks like the kid version of Pulse from Beyonce. I'm giving this 2.5 out of 5 and a "Like", just because Justin started out so young, 5-10 years from now they might develop something worth spending money on for him, never know ..

For full disclosure, I've never tried this on myself, but the receptionist at work wears it. When I asked her what smelled so good she sheepishly admitted it was a Justin Bieber scent and pulled out the bottle so I could see what it looked like. She said she gets compliments all the time (I believe it) and is rather embarrassed to admit it's a Bieber fragrance. As others have mentioned, this scent is nothing ground-breaking or unique, but it's a very pleasant fruity scent that just plain smells good.

Smells like a mix of Justin Bieber's Someday and Viva La Juicy Noir. Dark berries, vanilla and musk is what I get mostly. It has that strong musky quality that's in the Viva La Juicy fragrances. I think this is balanced much better than Viva La Juicy Noir because the musky smell in that fragrance makes me feel like I smell dirty. The musk in this just adds a fluffy feeling to the perfume, making it deeper without being too much. Lasts over 6 hours for me and the sillage is strong.

It's very fruity sweet floral. Very common but I like it. It smells really good and suits the target audience very well. I'd be happy adding this to my collection if someone would send me a gift, but maybe I wouldn't purchase it myself - except for gift. It's easily like-able. The bottle is very creatively designed too. Very eye-catching. I did almost dropped it when I tested it though, cos I thought the inside was attached to the outer part but where I tested it, it didn't.

smelled this already, its pleasant, very light, sweet and good for younger ones or older people who enjoy those sweet and light scents, Im 22, no Im no fan of his, I cant stand his annoying music im no "belieber" but I have nothing against him either(I just dont like his music)but I do enjoy his fragrances, this one actually smells alot better then his first one, so dont go hating on this until you have smelled this! this scent isnt bad at all

Im not a Belieber or anything, so dont think I'm saying I like the perfume because I'm a fan girl. It balances out really nicely, sweetness with muskiness, with a little fruity blending it together. I haven't smelled Someday, so I'm not sure how it compares. Surprisingly for me it had a really long lasting time and a huge sillage. By the next day I still smelled like the perfume, but it had a more intricate and clean, like white floral, scent.

I finished my bottle a while ago.. I actually really liked this one because I rarely finish bottles .. I had the 1oz and I am diggin the bottle shape and springy enclosure I'm saving it so when I move and settle in I will buy a big 4 tier shelf to display my bottles and this will be up front.. super cute. I would probably repurchase when I finish the other Bieber perfume I just got.

Oddly addictive. Sure, this may create cavities by mere smell, but it's strangely satisfying. It's honestly something that if Victoria Secret released it would probably be very liked. It tames my sweet craving without being overpowering or offensive to others. A skin scent that lasts 6 hours with light, flowery, sugary, fruity and vanilla notes.

I first smelled it in a magazine, in those little pieces of cloth they come in idk if i'm explaining myslf... and I loved it so much i was like oh i have to get this. So I bought it and hey I still like it it's just much fresher than I thought, and it doesn't last very long on me at least. To me, this is like a light version of viva la juicy.

an indistinct mess of fruit, patchouli and hairspray with a lot of aquatic, salty ambergris; I love the bottle and somehow I actually like this; blackberry, freesia, musk, ambergris and some patchouli not listed; wish it lasted longer, blew through all these notes in about 10 minutes then faded fast to last maybe two hours if lucky

I tested it and i like it. It is not overpowering. The slinky outside of the bottle is cool and I like the way how fruity it is. But the thing is, it lasts in few minutes and it leaves a watery, plastic scent. This perfume is good, but I prefer any other fruity-floral fragrances than this one. (no hate)

Body mist: Mostly orange, apricot and pear with floral notes. The pear note is more sweet/sugary than fruity. The amber and orchid are more intensive than musk. Don't like the bottle. I'd say it's ok but not one of the best celebrity fragrances I've tried.

My best friend gave me a try of girlfriend for my birthday (yesterday), to me it's like all these young celeb eprfumes, sweet, plastic with TACKY bottles. I actually like it tho.

I only bought Girlfriend for nostalgic purposes. :) The longevity is horrible, but the smell is alright. A basic fruity fragrance, nothing too special or interesting.

This reminds me of something from Bath and Body Works, but I can't quite put my finger on it... It's also that level quality so don't pay full price for this.

My husband bought this for me about 4 years ago. I only wore it a couple times when he initially purchased it. It's been on display ever since. I haven't been wearing it because the packaging is too awkward for me to bring it along in my purse. Additionally, it doesn't come with a top for the atomizer--I can't take perfume with me that has no top. It's a collector thing, lol! Anyhow, I wore this yesterday, around the house. It was just a regular fruity-floral. There is a weird-plasticky smell that comes through strongly when it is initially sprayed. I can't quite make out what it is--but it quickly dissipates after a few minutes. Very generic--with little to no complexity. Definitely a crowd-pleaser scent. Girlfriend dries down to a skin scent fairly quickly, not leaving much of a scent trail at all. It does not smell juvenile, but I think this fragrance is mostly appreciated by the very young. It kind of puts you in the mind of various Bath & Body Works scents. This is a safe gift for young ladies under 21.

There's things about this fragrance I am truly enchanted by, but there is something in this that gives me a slight headache, and something in this (maybe the same note or a different one, I'm not sure) stings at my nose, otherwise I really love some notes in this. I really love some of the sweet scents and maybe some of the florals, but I don't know a lot about notes to be able to know. Not sure I love the base notes on my body chemistry. Lasts a decent amount of time, but not a crazy amount of projection. It's not a skin scent but definitely not too loud of a scent, maybe an arms length distance you could smell this.

I picked up a small bottle bottle at a thrift store for a $1, so it was a fun "blind buy" for me... low risk. It's nice for what it is. It's a familiar smelling "celebrity scent" type of fragrance. Definitely a warm weather scent, and quite "youthful", because of the fruity florals in it. It's cute, but not a "standout" scent.

Citrus blast, then floral musk. It's okay, if you are looking for a summer cheapie, this may be worth a shot, if you enjoy citrus-musk combos. Not too 'artificial' or chemical-ey smelling to my nose, which is a huge plus! At its current price point (about 10 dollars here in NZ) this is a great basic fragrance.

It's a nice sweet scent for hot days. Don't spray too much or you'll get a headache. I've had the same bottle for 7 years now and it still lasts on my skin a good 5 hours. I only wear it to the gym now. Good gift idea for your teenage daughter. It's good for the cheap price tag. 6/10

It's quite dull and has a generic scent. I used to think this was an excellent fragrance when I was 13. I don't know why I spent so much money on this one. The packaging is somewhat appealing, though.
