Warek

Testing this blind from the ScentXplore bag, it opened musky and animatic. I get a little bit of gin or juniper in the opening and a little bit of rose or similar floral in the dry down but it mostly remains musky and animalatic. It remained essentially the same all day, with great sillage. Looking at the notes, they make sense now, and I kinda wish I didn't know as I honestly was expecting at least something in there that is animalatic or musky, but I guess the mix of oud, saffron, leather, and incense presents itself in some strange way as something similar. What I don't get with this fragrance is anything that is obviously leathery, or incense in your face. It's a great blend and I didn't think I'd like it at first but by the end of the day I quite adore it even though I think I'd find it sexier on a woman, but it fits me as well.

It’s April, so there’s still high humidity in the air. The air is cool but the lack of oxygen in it makes you uncomfortably sticky. Three sprays has just about nuked the house. The projection is huge. Stunning leather, oud, saffron and an earthy rose, although the rose isn’t prominent. The incense and patchouli are blended beautifully. Almost a resinous kush aroma, but not too skanky. This stuff is beastly. Possibly too strong for a humid evening, but this juice is getting destroyed during the winter months. If you like deep, coarse, earthy, leathery scents, the type that make Godolphin seem tame, grab yourself a bottle. Thank me later.

I have to totally disagree with Graf [this time]! :) I find Warek very pleasant :) on my skin it smells of lovely fruity oud with a touch of incense! Leather comes out in an hour or so...A lovely blend :)

Warek is a very interesting scent. This is a pleasant fragrance which revolves primarily around rose, saffron and oud. A scent profile that has been done so many times, and yet this one does offer something different in my eyes. Rather than being overly jammy and sweet with the rose and saffron, I find they act as supporting notes to the brooding oud and smooth leather. This darkness has a slight bitter greenness about it from earthy patchouli and guaiac wood which I find rather addicting. Overall this is one of the more impressive scents from Kajal that I’ve tried. This one seems to go in its own direction and smell genuinely really good. It’s still not brilliant enough for me to buy a bottle but I will enjoy wearing my decant nevertheless.

unisex leaning to masculine, if anything, on my skin it's a woody mix West-meets-Middle East. Very pleasant and well crafted without being grounbreaking in its formulation, it's another good example of how a classical woody occidental fragrance can be gently revised in times of oud tiranny. Not too smoky, slightly spiced - warm spices - rose and vanilla are definitely there to counteract some harshness of saffron and other oud-like excess. All in all a smart creation for young guys living in a dynamic urman context.

It's good, a rose oud that's not too heavy on the rose, with a more prominent emphasis on the leather, and saffron. Definitely on the masculine side of this genre. Slightly animalic in the beginning, but not overly so. This is a very powerful fragrance, and it can wear you if you spray too much, but it's a very pleasant wearing experience if you only go with a few sprays. So you'll definitely get your money's worth out of it. Lasts all day no problem.

Predictable, strong, oriental scent. Nutty depth, perhaps not as bold as some Boeuforts, but a smoothed-out take on that direction. Something like Coeur de Noir, but less daring, less smoky. Supposedly okay, but not for me. Compared to somewhat darker scents like Black Afgano or Fortis, there’s more of an acidic note here, but it’s not a dominant acidity — it’s primarily an intelligent sweetness where the acid provides a good, acceptable counterbalance. That makes this scent noble and successful. There’s actually a similarity to Mumbai, which also brings a certain acidity to the forefront.

This is my first impression from a paper strip. I'll try it properly the next days. Kajal Warek this is the worst fragrance I've ever smelled in my life. Worse than One of Those Mercury [80Hg] worse than Etat Libre d'Orange Secretions Magnifiques and it seems it's a strong scent. I'll try it properly the next days. All I get is a mix of fresh horse shit, dirty leather, citrucy rubber, rotten stuff that blocked the sink, something like very spicy & watery rotten hair, all these together. Even from a distance it stinks like a blocked cesspit. Unbelievable and absolutely nauseating. A better name for this thing would be "Watery & spicy Decomposition", "Dark Decay" or "Zombi". The note pyramide must be a joke. I'll update with more info the next days.

Update On skin isn't so repulsive as in paper strip but still is totally unwearable imo. The leather is more pronounced along with the ashtray smoke and a very spicy & annoying sourness. Definitely unique smell but not pleasant. I get a sour smoky dirty leather with sewage vibe. And it's strong stuff, above the average performance but fortunately not as strong and as concentrated as The Spirit of Dubai creations. Dominant notes are : leather, ashtray smoke and sour slightly watery filfth. Highly recommended if you want to smell like sewage dweller in leather outfit! Try it with empty stomach! Lol!

Artful blend. Realistic cannabis accord comes through in this. Starts off with a jammy rose patchouli and incense combo and the tinge of saffron does make it gooey for a bit, then it slowly becomes dryer and dryer and the guaiac wood, wood shavings kind of note reveals itself, the leather oud with some sweet tinges of amber follow making it slightly harsh. High quality ingredients, for sure. This scent may remind you of Bentley For Men Absolute/Gucci PH I, Mancera's Hindu Kush, Amouage Interlude, and even Tuscan Leather faintly, I would say. Good projection and decent longevity on clothes, usage in cooler temps recommended. A balance of classy and pungent, jammy and dry, is what the scent is all about.

Tried this one at Esxence 2018. What a lovely team leading this house first of all. As far as Warek, it instantly became my favorite from the house. It's a cannabis smelling fragrance, and let me tell you it's sooo good. The balance between smoke and cannabis is on the spot. It'll be mine one day for sure. Recommended.

Started off like a typical rose oud with slightly smokey nuances and saffron. Then the leathery side of saffron kicks in through mid. Then out of nowhere it's pure cannabis, the most realistic i've smelt in perfumery. Must be the "patchouli" ;) Well done Chris - Good job
