I normally start testing lighter, brighter, more fresh and less complicated perfumes - when I'm out spritzing perfumes. This is a sign to LIGHTEN UP! Take a breather - Refresh! ---------- I sampled this yesterday while at Ulta. This is a really good spring time type perfume. Light, upbeat, playful, sweet, softly romantic - it has a dreamy quality about it. The ingredients blend well where you are not discerning individual notes - but more of the full chord of the perfume. I briefly tried this - I loved the dry down. I will have to explore this further. This is great if you are looking for a perfume that is refreshing, uncomplicated, sweet, fun. Perfect for spring and summer! ----------- Ok, for those of you who like perfumes that make more of a statement than this, this will never be "your signature", that perfume that you wear every time you spritz perfume. However, in each person's life, there will come a time when you feel like you need a break from your current routine - to have a vacation, a weekend break, a day off -- or if you are such a work-a-holic that you never take even so much as a "day cation" - then there will come a point where you see the value in a lunch break. When this time comes - this is the type of perfume that can give you a fresh perspective - and a light hearted uplifting vibe. This is that type of perfume. For those working on "lightening up" and having a less complicated vibe - Yes - this could even work as "your signature"! Have fun! --------- Kate Spade has another perfume in this similar genre - "Live Colorfully" - I haven't tried these perfumes side by side - but Cherie has a similar vibe to Live Colorfully. Both are fun, upbeat, playful, less complex than the typical perfumes that I wear. Great for that holiday - spring break vibe! ----------- Wait for the dry down phase - this is GORGEOUS! Carnation is not listed in the ingredient list, but the dry down phase smells similar to my dearly loved (green bottle) Cabotine, which I have worn for years since 1999, when a neighbor introduced me to this. After sampling this for several hours - the dry down phase is INCREDIBLE! Instantly smelled like something that I have instant memories of my mother and early childhood! Dry down smells very similar to the light blue bar of soap from Estee Lauder (Youth Dew Soap Bars) that my Mom always purchased for her bathroom/shower/bathtub area. This smells incredible in the dry down phase, I simply loved it - ON! ------------ This perfume is simple and uncomplicated -- it has an aroma with more of a modern approach... wears similar to a light wash of aromatherapy (and what I mean by that, it is not as potent as the typical aromatherapy... but it has a fresh upbeat vibe to it where it could be considered mood altering - gives you an upbeat feeling, lifts the mood)! Fresh and clean vibe - lovely! Wears in a youthful fashion - any age could wear this and appreciate it, but it definitely leans YOUNG - with a YOUNG VIBE. ----------- I agree with some other reviews - this is THE BEST KATE SPADE PERFUME that I have tried! Simply fabulous! ------------ While at the Bath and Body Shop today, I tried a strawberry inspired perfume by the name of Gingham Gorgeous - and it has a very similar essence to Cherie by Kate Spade. I was not trying them side by side, but the general feeling of the fragrance is basically the same - or close enough where it could be confused with the other perfume. They are both very nice on. Kate Spade's Cherie has a dry down more similar to the Youth Dew Soap Bar in Estee Lauder's line. Gingham Gorgeous is more of the essence - the fragrance chord which stays fairly linear throughout the wear. ------------ This is a very similar energy level perfume to Perry Ellis 360 and the other flankers that are in that perfume series. Yes, they have different notes, they don't smell exactly the same, but they all have a similar upbeat, playful, youthful vibe. This would be like the Type 1 DYT Type - animated, playful, fun, upbeat -- could resonate with someone who embodies these characteristics day to day -- or could be worn by someone who is needing to express this type of energy on their day off, for special events, for playtime, for settings when they can let their hair down and just be casual and playful. --------------- After Trying Kate Spade's New York Perfume in the Pink Bottle: KS's New York appears to be the office/business/school version of Cherie... just a little bit more sophisticated and pulled together than Cherie. I tried Kate Spade's New York after sampling Kate Spade's new perfume, Cherie. Kate Spade's New York and Cherie are both built on a very similar fragrance chord composition. Cherie is more airy and like you are smelling the entire chord - presented as if it is in a cloud...no hard edges, no notes screaming for attention -- just a nice chord that smells like a great perfume to wear when you are wanting something that blends in, isn't so noticeable - and could be good at the gym, just out of the shower, running errands, outdoor activities, something fresh -- but nothing that lingers like you are wearing "a heavy perfume". After the first 30 minutes this dries down into a perfume that wears as if you are wearing a perfume - one or two levels up from stepping out of the shower - freshly shampooed and with a slight smell of soap... like you used a shower gel or soap. Kate Spade New York - Presents more like the sophisticated and pulled together version of Cherie... like a continuation of the same exact chord -- only with a stronger composition that makes it last a bit longer. This has amazing longevity. I was really surprised that it lasted well over 8 -12 hours on my arm. Since I have worn perfumes with the strength from the 1980's and 1990's... this is probably the perfume that I would wear the most out of these two. This may be considered in my selection for a "signature scent".

Very sweet and moderate, meaning between not too airy and light but also not sickly sweet. Reminds me of a bbw scent that was released around 2015-2014 but definitely not forever red because that is way more intense similar red fruit profile but more boozey and Cherie is definitely not that. May not appeal to an older middle aged woman would smell juvenile. This is definitely for a young 21 max , cute and bubbly, flirty girl that’s well put together or also a teenage girl. I see a lot of people calling it basic but it has a simple complexity to ir because you smell a lot of the raspberry but you also pick up on the citrus which is why some may say it’s screechy maybe vacate I haven’t allowed mine to macérate yet but it’s not that screechy because it’s still airy and not so fluff but the bit of complexity comes from the woods and Jasmine. Silage and projection would better than just using it on its own but honestly idk anyone who just used perfume on its own without the “body/skin care formula” however on clothing this definitely projects and is safe for work, summer spring play but this is a youthful playful scent so if your going out I would say this is it the scent to go for she’s cute and flirty but it gives extremely safe or just showered but still more really nice than a typical shampoo . You can run to the mall with her, go for brunch with her, church etc its a sweet airy but not sickly daytime scent. Also the price point from Jomashop wasn’t bad but it is a bit over priced I wanted it because of a body spray/lotion I used to swear similar from bbw but your mostly paying for the name I don’t believe this is worth anything over $23-$30 at the most but that’s just my opinion

In a designer sample bag I got the Je t’aime flanker of this, which I liked a lot. I found this at Ross for a good price. Just remembering my sample being Cherie, I thought well, I really liked this. I realized when I got home, it was the og. Well, I just don’t care bc I REALLY like this. It is so sweet, fresh, & just lovely. I absolutely love the sweet pea with the jasmine. They blend beautifully with juicy fruits. I will be honest, I do not reach for my designer or celebrity fragrances much. I spend so much time wearing & testing my ME fragrances. Cherie gets reached for & I plan to buy another before Spring. It is a great everyday fragrance that is not offensive. I plan to wear anytime I feel like. It is a fruity floral that isn’t too juvenile nor too mature. It does remind me of an expensive shampoo or body wash. Now it would be a very heavy smelling shampoo/body wash lol. This projects beyond a bubble for several hours & leaves a trail with moderate application. I wore well over 12 hrs yesterday. She was a sweet, fresh, clean skin scent when I washed off. This one was a very pleasant surprise scent wise & performance wise. 100/10

Smells exactly like wrapped with love by Hilary Duff and I am so happy and so glad because wwl is discontinued. I sprayed the tester from target this morning at 8:45 am in my jacket and going home from work around 12:43 am the smell is still there and very noticeable...it's unbelievable! It lasts a long time on clothes and I love it! This is a love so I'm getting it! Plus the bottle is so gorgeous it reminds me of hidden fantasy bottle with gems around (my absolute favorite from Britney). So I'll give 10/10 overall performance + packaging! For me it's perfect! It's giving me a spring time vibe with freshness and a sweet lady vibe! Love it! ❤️

Chérie is one of those easy, safe scents you can wear day or night without overthinking it. It instantly reminded me of BBW’s Peony—floral, flirty—but with more depth and richness, thanks to a juicy burst of fruitiness. What keeps it from smelling too teen-spritz-in-the-hallway is the drydown. The musk and light woods give it a soft sophistication that balances the playful top. It’s sweet, yes, but not bubblegum-sweet. More like: “I still love peonies, but I pay my own bills now.” If you like feminine florals with a modern fruity pop—and don’t want anything too edgy or mature—this one’s a charming pick.

When I was moving all my fragrances in a tote, I thought I must have broken this bottle. Even with the tote closed, I could smell this scent over all the other 50+ in my scent wardrobe. Turns out, this jammy little rose beauty is just a radiant fragrant gem. Compliment magnet, versatile staple, and all around mass appealing perfume. There's not too many environments this won't fit into. 8 hour plus wear on my skin, longer on clothes. Decent projection and "pretty-girl" noticable sillage. It's not beast mode, but it will be a repurchase for me.

I really love this fragrance! I bought a bottle after testing it yesterday. It’s the perfect mix of fruity and fresh. The longevity was great on me, and I could still smell it on my clothes and in my hair 8 hours after spraying. I think this perfume is perfect for every day for anyone who wants a pretty feminine scent. The raspberry and the sweet pea stood out most on my skin, but the white musk and woods at the base also came through to give it a more fresh scent.

This is a cute scent, that will have you feeling fresh fun and flirty. It’s not cloying there’s minimal tartness with the fruity berries, not too serious with a little dash of whimsy. Nice scent to reach for when you just wanna smell pretty. Prob my fav K.Spade release to date and the bottles cute, they should continue this line with different scents and bottle color combos.

I also love this perfume, and also got it at Marshall’s, this time around it was only $25. For the same 2.0oz, super duper affordable. It smells really strong too, I love most things Kate Spade has and are usually a great starter perfume because of the inexpensiveness and how great and strong the smells are.

Such a gorgeous scent, feels mature and still sweet. Even people standing a few feet away will comment on the smell. Sprayed it before work and hung out with friends after, they commented on the slight scent. Sweet in floral but again, not syrupy or anything overwhelming.

This is the best Kate Spade fragrance this far imo. It’s a bright spring/summer scent that is more of a fun type of smell! Nothing out of the ordinary but it’s has nice quality and good performance. If you like bright fruity florals this is nicely done!

So pretty! It's a thick sweet scent and to my nose it's not juvenile. I'm pleasantly surprised!! Editing to add that this performs so well on me! I could get whiffs of it throughout the day and I sprayed it in the morning. So lovely

Love this on my wife. I miss the scent of sweet pea on her from the discontinued Bath and Body works perfume. This one has slightly more going on in terms of its fruity floral aspects and is a little more flirty and less pillowy.

I think this is a very pleasant perfume that is signature scent worthy. It’s a crowd pleasing scent that is inoffensive to those around you. It’s definitely more of a warm weather scent.

I love this one♡ it's sweet, sugary, soapy, girly and gorgeous♡ Definitely perfect for a date and for parties. Someone said it smells like Sweet Pea from BBWS, I don't think so.

I love this one, but I do have a soft spot for fruity scents. And as always, I wish it lasted longer.

I tried this one out today while browsing. I own the Kate Spade New York perfume and this one is quite different. Much fruitier upon first spray, you can definitely smell sparkling berries. But, it was the dry down that won me over. One of my all time favorite perfumes is Gucci Premier that has sadly been discontinued. The dry down is so reminiscent of GP, I compared notes and they share a woody note as well as musk and white florals/jasmine. I can still faintly smell some of the fruitier notes after 5 hours of wear but it becomes almost more complex as it sits on the skin. I disagree with other comments saying this one is for teenagers—I am a woman in my 30s and I think this one is good for any age. Fresh and fruity opening but a lingering musky floral. I purchased as soon as I got home. Give this one a try.

I like this one, but it does shriek at first and I can smell it in my throat. The dry down is worth it though. It's bright, cheerful, youthful and happy. It's not particularly groundbreaking, but I'm ok with that. I don't need to smell heady and complex. The predominant notes for me are red currant and then raspberry. I get no musk, very little floral other than a hint of sweet pea. The sillage is pretty broad and it lasts forever on me which I love because this is very rare. My body chemistry has issues holding on to scent so this one's a keeper for me. It's not my Escapade Gourmande, but there again, not everything can be that. This is a refreshing and lighthearted change of pace. 8/10

I got this at Ulta on sale and it’s good. It isn’t great, but it’s good. On skin, the opening is very citrus and smells amazing. As it starts to dry down, it smells super fruity and slightly powdery. Once it completely dries down, it smells a little musky, but still fruity and powdery in a good way. If you really enjoy sweet pea fragrances, i’d definitely recommend this one. It’s definitely a very youthful fragrance. It makes me think of a bright summer morning car ride to buy coffee or something along the lines. Like i said, it’s good, just not great.

Smells really fresh and youthful. I bought this one for the summer and I wore it every day. The smell stays on both my body and my clothes for a long time. I am not sure if other people can smell it when I wear it, but I'd say that the stay power is better than Black Opium and Eilish (the gold one). To me it smells like a more sophisticated, less synthetic version of Ari. Regardless, when I'll finish this bottle I will not repurchase, since there are so many other perfumes that smell fresh, youthful and clean and less synthetic (like miss Dior).

Nice, light, bright, vibrant, inoffensive. A bit tart. Simple, joyful and feminine. Quite lovely. Easy to wear anywhere during spring and summer. Yes, you have probably smelled something similar before - nothing groundbreaking, but it's well done. Sweet pea, mandarin orange, light raspberry, and red currant play the main role. Similar style to some other Kate Spade fragrances. One of better Kate Spade fragrances. Possibly, a good blind buy. I'm glad it comes in a travel spray.

This took a little while settling in the bottle to give the experience I got when I tried it in Ulta inside Target for the first time. I loved the bottle so I was like why not and was SO pleasantly surprised by the punchy raspberry note, and then the gorgeous sweet pea dry down. It’s giving the B&BW sweet pea sexy and grown up. I can’t wait to wear this in spring and summer with a lot of other scents .. coconut , cherry, peach. Fresh and fun!

Girly and playful, Chérie by Kate Spade is a fruity, lovely fragrance. That being said, it definitely can come across as juvenile; the sweet pea note is reminiscent of Bath and Body Works tweenhood. The lasting power also leaves something to be desired - definitely requires a few re-applications to be detectable throughout the day. Overall, Chérie is by all means pleasant, but perhaps not for those who want to be read as mature or womanly.

A beautiful, lightly-spiced berry scent. Reminds me a lot of Kate Spade New York in the pink bottle, but this one is more linear and a bit darker. Both of them have a distinct "pie filling" quality - while KSNY is a gelatinous strawberry pie from Shoney's, this smells like a homemade cherry pie. It's very nice, very juicy, and very youthful. Despite its simplicity I actually see this as more of a cold weather scent due to the bit of spice.

💲 I only have the .33oz purse atomizer vial, which I found at Ross for $14.99 👃The scent is very prim and proper. Nothing stands out as overly sweet, soapy, nor floral. I think it smells expensive. It lasts about 6hrs on me. Something interesting; I think it smells exactly like a discrete version of Mark’s (aka/ Meet mark. by Avon) Celebrate perfume.

This is a cheerful fruity scent which is easy to wear. I enjoyed the top notes and cant say I could smell the middle notes at all BUT I got a few peeps asking what I was wearing. So even at the end of a long day...I was still smelling good to all around me! A really safe and easy daytime winter scent.

Raspberry - love Red currant - not so much. If there is a note that just doesn’t please my nose, it’s currant. Any currant. It’s just too intense, too sharp. And the juice raspberry doesn’t fix this. This could have been such a nice summer fragrance. Lasts for good 3-4 hours.

She’s cute, teenage, and fruity. She smells like a fruity shampoo mixed with sweet pea from BBW. She’s not sophisticated but she’s charismatic.

Smells super pretty, but I like a little beast mode and this performs more like a body spray on my skin.

My auntie's name is Cherie, so I felt inclined to try this. Plus, Kate Spade things seem accessible pretty without being dull or boring. I actually think this is fairly nice! The sweet pea thankfully comes through (I'm big on the throwback Sweet Pea from B&BW), but you need to wait until it dries a little. In the initial stage the (unfortunately for me solely, because I dislike cherry) combo of sweet orange mixed with sugary raspberry and currant comes off a little maraschino cherry-ish. I would go so far as to say I truly dislike the top notes, but you might personally not if you're into cherry. My hunch tells me that this is piggybacking off the ubiquitous cherry trend happening right now. I get peeks of raspberry, but it's mostly cherry. I wasn't trying to craft a comparison review, I truly wasn't...but this is absolutely B&BW's Sweet Pea grown up and matured. Yet...this is lacking what makes the SP so special; it's whimsical freshness and lightness. This is denser and more perfumey. I also wish there was something more green in here, just enough to crisp it up a little because it leans quite sugary. It's not bad, and I'm glad to have tried it (curiosity is satiated) but it's not on my radar now.

This is a very light fruity floral with soapy vibes. Doesn't smell like sweet pea at all, more like peony. The mandarin is present and the raspberry somewhere in the background. Up close it is quite sharp and stingy which lessens with time, but the surrounding fragrance is sweet, tart and fresh. Reminds me of a very watered down berry syrup summer drink, not bad, good for summer but not what I expected from the notes listed. Conclusions: No: if you are looking for a sweet pea scent - this does not smell like sweet pea. But to their defense, most fragrances, that list this note, don't, as it is a hard note to capture and won't satisfy those who know how sweet pea smells. I guess the closest would be the dry down of English Pear & Sweet Pea Jo Malone. YES: if you are looking for a fresh summer fruity floral with sharp and soapy undertones to give it more of a character Also, even though the notes in Jimmy Choo Blossom are similar, they do not smell alike, the profile is similar but Blossom is sweeter without the soapy and sharp notes so choose based on what you prefer.

Playful, girly cherry fragrance. This cherry is more on synthetic side and reminds me of fun Y2K summer vibes. Definitely would recommend this one for your younger sister in highscool. I think it's what you would expect for the price. The preformance is pretty okay as it lasted on me for 5-6 hours. But if you want a CHERRY fruitful and carefree frangrance, this one is perfect. There's really not much depth to it, but in my opinion that's what makes this fragrance likeable for me. I wouldn't expect anything poetic about this one. Just fun summer juicy vibes. It definitely gives off that adorable girly Britney Spears whimsy.

I have to admit, I was equally as afraid to smell Chérie as I was intrigued - I'm a millennial, and I grew up on Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea lotion. I didn't want this fragrance to smell too childish in this respect. Thankfully, this scent didn't transport me back to pre-pubescence. There is a distinct sweet pea note, but the red berries and musk are blended in well. Although it isn't the most unique thing I've smelled, I think this pleasant fruity-floral is diverse enough to work for many ages.

Cherie starts off super fruity, like a fruit cocktail smell. As the dissipates, about 7-10mins or so it becomes a synthetic sweet pea smell w/ musk. Not bad but not anything I would buy. If you want a good sweet pea perfume search for a bottle of discontinued Miller Harris Fleur de Cour or Goutal Paris Chat Perche instead.

Really cute and flirty on paper. It reminded me of Bath and Body works scents of my youth thanks to the sweet pea. My initial thoughts were that it'd be great spring scent for one of my nieces. Unfortunately, on my skin it dried to a scent that smelled synthetic...almost medicinal.

I tested this and Kate Spade New York, ended up going with NY. This one was very soft on me, I could barely smell it in a very short time! NY isn’t a beast by any means, but I could detect it way better and it lasted longer than I thought it would.

This one is quite interesting. It begins really fruity but then it changes into a musky and woody fragrance. Funnily enough, it lasted a half a day on me. It ́s not bad, but it is not good enough to buy a whole bottle. For me.

Really light, smells like shampoo

This was sent to me as a free sample with a purchase I made. It reminds me of something nostalgic from when I was a kid but I’m not sure what. It smells like cherry but very artificially, it’s not sweet at all, more bitter than anything, and there’s something off putting about it. It leans almost medicinal or alcoholic like, but not like medicine that is normally sweet. It’s just strange. It’s also not creamy, powdery, airy, etc. it’s thick/dense and flat, which makes it really unenjoyable for me. For some reason it makes me think of when I was a kid in daycare, this was what the women taking care of me smelt like. It’s not terrible but it’s ok leaning to being bad.

Had a sample, so I can judge only by two days of usage. Opening is bright fruity but more on the fresher side. I clearly ditect red berries, but for my nose it's more of a red cherries (I know that they are not listed in the pyramid, but this is what I get) and that's it. It kinda dies after 30 min on me, but the same story with clothes I don't smell anything. Performance is poor and scent profile as for me pretty juvenile.

The perfume doesn’t quite match the cute bottle, I was hoping for juicy fruits and light florals but this smells synthetic and scratchy to my nose, I don’t detect any fruitiness at all, just vintage soapy florals and a slight muskiness. My husband said it smells librarian-ish. It’s giving me a headache I hope it fades quickly.

Yet another blind buy disappointment. All I get is sweet florals and nothing special. Like so many others out there (that I also don't like) I got a full 100ml EDP I'm more than willing to part with, LOL.

At first sniff, I hated it. It smelt like a mix between grapefruit and some chemically cleaner like a Lysol. As it dried down, the grapefruit dried down and it got sweeter.

Very berry-fruity, juicy, fresh fragrance. More suitable for the teenage crowd.

Given a sample, regretted it the first time I tried it. I don’t know whether it’s only in my country that some women’s public toilets smell exactly like this, but it’s not an association I could look past. I got 2 other people to smell my wrist and they agreed. Otherwise, very youthful (okay, juvenile) and fruity in a synthetic way. Passing it on to a teenager.

I'm sorry. I was excited to smell this by the description I read, but when I smelled it in store, it just smelled like something you would spray in the bathroom after some business was done.

The scent disappears after 5 minutes.

UPDATE: After having this on for several hours, I can smell it a little still and it’s ended up more sweet floral for my liking. I’m not a fan. It is reminiscent of older Kate Spade ♠️ perfumes of the past - I’m thinking specifically one of the versions of Live Colorfully, which I was also not a fan of. Oh well - maybe a flanker of this will come out that will be enjoyable. I have to say I do like the bottle, logo, marketing, bottle color, etc. So, in essence, I like everything about this - except for the perfume itself. 😢 Cherie was just delivered. The opening is very fruity with the raspberry, red currant, etc. The opening takes a while to settle but now I’m getting the soft floral and somewhat powdery dry down. I’ve only had this on for about 10 minutes and I don’t really smell the fragrance now 😢 I’m not sure if it is because I just sprayed a different perfume right before it was delivered, but I don’t really smell it now.
