Oudgasm Milky Musk Oud | 30

To preface, I predominantly wear traditionally male fragrances, followed by unisex, and least often feminine scents—though I still enjoy them. For me, it’s simple: if you like the scent, gender is irrelevant. I gravitate either toward fresh, soapy cleanness or full-on gourmand; there’s no middle ground. This fragrance sits firmly in gourmand territory, layered with musky, oudy depth—and it’s a masterpiece that needs to be experienced with an open mind. I own around six Kayali fragrances, and this one easily ranks at the top. The longevity of Milky Musk Oud is unmatched compared to their other releases; I can still smell it on myself after showering the next day. It does lean more traditionally masculine. It’s unusual—imagine rice pudding translated into a fragrance, with gentle spice and soft lactonic nuances. Compared to Vanilla 28, it’s significantly warmer, less “perfumey,” and arguably more gourmand. The scent is warm, spicy, distinctly Middle Eastern, and incredibly comforting. I think many of the negative reviews stem from its unconventional nature—this doesn’t smell like a typical perfume. This is firmly in my top three fragrances of all time, with comforting being the key word. It instantly transports me to the Middle East. Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 7/10 Scent: 9.8/10

Writing that you don’t like oud on the page for an oud scent, and not even having smelled it, is giving main character syndrome. Maybe this wasn’t made for you then🤷 I don’t like seafood but you don’t see me barge into a seafood restaurant just to announce that I don’t like their food and say I wish they had lasagne instead ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Edit: After trying it for several days I think it’s lovely. Not gourmand though, more of a soft sandalwood with something dark and sensual in the background. Getting a full bottle as soon as I can afford it. According to reviews above it’s a ”dupe” for commodity milk but I have to disagree, there’s a big difference between a dupe and a similarity. It’s a creamy sandalwood just like Sunny side up, piano santal, Santal Blanc and milky musk. It’s more like Santal 33 if it didn’t have leather and was softer than being alike milk tbh. Drydown has something similar to Blanche bete

this is only a first impression but okkkk what 😍😍😍 very pleasantly surprised. the name is on point, a milky musky beginner oud. will test further. edit: I don’t like the pricing of Kayali perfumes. there, I said it. Just overpriced for these often childish, commercial juices. that said, this, especially layered with Oudgasm chocolate, is heavenly. really mellow, comforting, pillowy sweet woody milky scent, right up my alley for F/W. quite long lasting as well. walking past the scent strips 12 days later I could smell it in the air. will consider getting this combo during the Christmas sales.

This is very true to the name. I get milk, I get musk, I also do get whiffs of the strawberry cream throughout the wear. This usually lasts for about 5+ hrs on my skin and clothes. Once I go through my travel size, I am definitely picking up the full bottle. I regret not getting the larger size in the first place. It's the safest oud scent I have in my collection. It's in the base, and I do smell it, but it's not the star, and I like it that way. It's complimenting and grounding the milky notes.

I really like this! Very powdery and sweet with a lovely, creamy, woody undertone. The projection and longevity are great much like the rest of the Oudgasm collection. I fortunately don't get the strawberry cream, I just get airy, fluffy, creamy vanilla and sweetness. I think this is pretty similar to Glossier You Doux, perhaps just a little darker. I would definitely get a small bottle of this!

I love this, it’s like a lighter version of ombré leather at first. Then as it’s starts drying down I get the peppery incense on my skin, with a very very soft oud. On the drydown is where the very slight lactonic, and slightly sweet strawberry musk shines. It sorta reminds me of invite amber only a tad

Gorgeous! This whole Oudgasm collection has been very impressive to me. So so musky, but undeniably spicy. It's warm, cozy, sensual, alluring. Just a touch sweet. Perfect for colder months.

I want to try this desperately. Looks fab.

Kayali Oudgasm Milky Musk Oud 30 opens briefly as the musky, woody sweetness of Jo Malone Vetiver & Golden Vanilla mixed with the notorious milky sandalwood profile found in many fragrances such as Parle Moi de Parfum Milky Musk 39, JHAG Sunny Side Up, Kilian Sacred Wood, and Billie Eilish No 2. The milky sandalwood profile sustains for the entire life of the wear and instead of drying up, becomes noticeably creamier and sweeter with some powdery facets. As it quickly dries down it becomes clearly similar to Liquides Imaginaires Blanche Bete the most, Commodity Milk, VC&A Santal Wood with its sweet creamy fig milk more than sandalwood, and maybe even Glossier Doux although that's more aromatic sandalwood. Not sure why strawberry and coffee were listed at all lmao, maybe just sweet contributors to the woodiness, but this worked out for me because I just really like this profile. In fact, I don't get leather, suede, or overly smoky oud...just a little. It's very much woody, but the sweet milky and musky kind of woody with little touches of tonka bean and a little amber. Not overwhelming at all. In fact when I smell closely to my skin, it seems maybe the fragrance would be more of a projecting one, but it carries softly in sillage. Still low-moderate projection and lasts 7-8 hours on me.

It reminds me of Armani Si Passione Red Musk initially. It has the same milky-musky quality just with a faint hint of strawberries. Oud note is light here, overwhelmed by suede and saffron I would not guess it is present at all but it adds certain softness. I feel also milky sandalwood, tonka bean and a dash of pink pepper. Comparing to Armani this is much more masculine in effect initially and without strong fruity tones. But it is wearable for a female and won't be a clash if she sprays it on her beau. It sweetens a lot on my skin. A very good scent. Well in the trend of milky scents like Blanche Bete and Her Confession that are more floral. I feel a note reminiscent of almond milk. With time the coffee notes gets stronger and it smells like coffee tastes. It wears like Blanche Bete. 90% similar.

I’m so surprised to see how low the rating is. I don’t get the synthetic notes that other comments mention. Also, if you want a beast mode lactonic perfume, I think this might be what you’re looking for. It lasted on my skin for like 24 hours and radiated A LOT! This is the very first Kayali scent I genuinely like, actually :) I recommend people try it and not be biased by the rating.

I just received the travel size and I was prepared to not like it. But I like it a lot! I have little experience with oud but I mostly get sandalwood. Sandalwood and I don’t always get along, but this is an easy-going sandalwood. I haven’t worn this for a full day yet, but it seems to get creamier and more feminine in the dry down. Who knows, I may end up with a full bottle.

i'm really surprised by the negative reviews here, to me this is a safe scent, although a bit unusual. i get a sweet cream with clean musk and a hint of church. lasts very long on my skin. it leans a bit unisex/masculine but still has a lot of sweetness and warmth to it. i don't get any strawberry whatsoever.

Creamy, musky, delicious. I don't have much else to say. The creamy note comes and goes and the musk dominates. Very interesting scent unlike anything else I have in my collection. I'm a fan!

Pink pepper lightly throughout the opener and mid-range, settling into a warm incense sandalwood. I like it. The longer it sits, the more delightful campfire feel it gets.

this is nice, i can smell the incense and musk but wheres the oud?? im kinda upset

It is certainly interesting but strange to my senses. I definitely get the sandalwood and strawberry cream, but it is competing with strong pink pepper and a milky oud. All of these notes sound delicious, but I think there is something about that fruity milky oud that turns my stomach and gives me a headache. I think on the right person this might be glorious, but sadly that person is not me. Longevity is pretty good. I got a full 10 hours. Someone on here commented that it has a slightly metallic wet concrete smell, and I agree. Reminds me a lot of The Maker “Architect” candle. It also reminds me of a completely unsweetened Blanche Bête on the dry down.

I stalked Sephora for weeks waiting for this to be in stock. I was so excited for Milky Musk and the notes listed, especially the strawberry cream. I received today and unfortunately I’m feeling a bit let down. If I knew Kayali was doing dupes now, I wouldnt have stayed up until 3am for the drop. This is a lighter Milk Commodity. Don’t get me wrong, it smells amazing, but it’s not a unique fragrance and there’s nothing innovative here. Musk, tonka, milk, marshmallow. No strawberry to be found. So disappointing. Save your money because if you have one, you dont need the other.

I really wanted to love this like i do the Chocolate and Vanilla Oud fragrances, but I don't. I don't hate it, but this one is just OK. I don't get the strawberry or sweetness others are getting. It is definitely musky and I get the Oud much more in this one. It does dry down quite creamy and I do like that about it. It also does last a long time - I get great longevity out of all of the oudgasm ones I have sampled. I might get a travel size bottle of this one but I'm still undecided.
