Hanae

I've always felt this house doesn't get the attention it deserves. There are sooo many beauties, Mogador, Datura Blanche, Isles Lointaines, Ume... and the most stunning of all, HANAE <3 Hanae is very much a floral fruity (more fruity than floral, to be sure), but not frivolous in the way selections in the category can present. The spotlight is the yuzu. It's sweet and tart (not sour). The citrus accord listed first is both accurate and misleading at the same time :) What this yuzu projects is not your light, breezy, zesty summer selection. It's far more interesting thanx to the lovely, though individually unidentifiable florals and musk holding them together. It's a gentle citrus where many are not. Cherry doesn't stand out as cherry for me, but may also be responsible for some of the tartness I mentioned. Hanae doesn't have a lot of projection, but I don't need it to reach everyone, only a select few. It does, however, last forever on my skin, like many from the house. Noteworthy yuzu stands out florals are well blended This fragrance is from the 90s...my nose says it was ahead of its floral fruity time

Sweet fruity floral, but not common and synthetic smelling this time! Also quite powerful for a Mecheri (twice as stronger as Peau de Peche, for example). Very, very pleasing musk, cherry or apple blossoms, yuzu and berries, soft and warm, but with an attitude and a character. Surprisingly memorable, signature worthy. I see an energetic and a sweet person wearing it, or someone calm and quiet, and slightly sad, but willing to rejoice, as this smell is very cheerful and optimistic. I guess it might become a good, unobtrusive companion to those who miss the sun and the warmth of summer during dull months. Very good longevity and nice, soft sillage - not in-your-face, but certainly there. Thumbs up for Keiko Mecheri once again.

The softest, the roundest, the silkiest perfume that I’ve smelled until today...WONDERFUL! It’s not naïve, it’s not simple, but it’s humble, well-educated and intelligent. Hanae could be the perfect bride's perfume... It’s a nice surprise even to myself as I’ m not a lover of fruity-floral perfumes. So all I can say it’s well balanced and really well done. Trying to find some perfumes close to it, I would say it’s like Guerlain L’Instant Magic+Chanel Chance Tendre+Villorei Iperborea....but this is only for having some idea. Hanae is like anything else! Obviously goes to my "want" shelf.

Delicate,soft and floral! Start with powerful Yuzu,but after a while the notes of white flowers embrace so velvety and suave initial citrus notes.... This perfume is is very evocative,reminiscent distant gardens, sunshine,joy and serenity. This fragrance is well balanced, and really nice in my opinion! It stands out.! This will cradle you with its notes, without being too heavy or intrusive,but you will always bring with you ...if you want it! Very beautiful! I truly love this smell. It's reminiscent of Stella and doesn't give me a headache. Specific enough, and it's perfect for spring!! Daytime smell for sure.

Keiko Mecheri HANAE is my idea of an excellent fruity floral perfume. The flowers and fruits are not wilting and bruised, and there are no gnats anywhere in the vicinity! This composition features yuzu in a clean musk base, adorned with light florality and, according to my nose, gentle white woods. Although I'm not a fruity-floral fragrance type, in general, I love testing niche FFFs such as HANAE because there is little danger of what drives me away from mass market FFFs: no noxious "abstract floral" chemical soup and no rotting fruit. This composition smells perfectly natural and is very pleasant to wear from start to finish. Like most of the KM creations I've tried, HANAE has medium sillage and good longevity. Recommended for fruity floral lovers--and also for those who have based their aversion to that genre on the synthetic, emetic nightmares brim with bht that are usually classified as fruity florals but are in reality filled with ingredients that either should be or are banned by the FDA.

I own the black bottle of Hanae and absolutely adore it. Because of the listed notes, I was prompted to buy some yuzu essential oil...that's how much I love this scent. Had I not known the notes of Hanae at all, and I simply sprayed this scent and wore it, I'd say, I smell like a juicy peach, fuzz and all. I get delicious whiffs of it throughout the day, and I'm delighted with myself.

Pleasant scent, kind of smells like barbies and childhood postcards. I also find resemblance with Hanae Mori perfume, not sure if it is a coincidence with the name given. Very soft perfume, faint flowers and vanilla. Dries down musky. No lasting power whatsoever. Wish it was stronger and lasted longer than 2 hours maybe max. HM version is better in comparison.

oh i am very on board with this. a really pleasant and fresh berry + citrus fragrance that stands out from others on the market—super modern in that regard. it does smell a bit like hand sanitizer in the opening, but i've found this goes away after the first 10 minutes as the berries kick in :)

This is how I imagine a fairy would smell. So light and airy, then dries into this delicate, sweet musk.

Jubilant sweet berry, citrusy and white flower. Strong but not overwhelming. Feels quite natural.

Love this perfume house . I now own five bottles - Isles Lontaines , Fleur d’Osmanthus, Paradise Lost, Datura Blanche and Clair Obscur. The quality composition and the earlier black bottles exude class and refinement . I had to try a few more samples and being a white floral lover I tried Hanae. Also being half Japanese , I wanted to try something associated with my native country . It’s a pretty , sheer , fruity floral scent , reminiscent of many scents on the market . Unfortunately , nothing outstanding for me to buy a bottle .

picture a nursery with fuzzy sparkling snowglobes, hallmark precious moments music boxes, swaddling clothes with baby blue elephants on them, and the ikea crescent moon lamp of my childhood. this smells like that with an orange creamsicle on top. which is to say, it smells like a perfume for a baby.

Keiko Mecheri, WHY, WHY, WHY, you have ruined such a wonderful perfume!!! One of my all time favourites and some of the most long lasting perfumes I have ever owned! I have gone through several bottles of the old 75 ml version in the black bottles and I have always loved the scent so much! Since I have opened my last backup black bottle and I have seen the packaging has changed recently, now it is in a 100 ml transparent bottle, a terrible double seezed me. What if they changed also yhe formulation, as many perfume houses does recently, with the result that the perfume concentration is always poorer and the fragrances have awful lasting power. I wanted to repurchase my favourite fragrance but have decided to order a same first and see if the juice has remained the same. My sample came and I have sprayed the old version one one hand and the new one on the other. Initially the scent seemed the same, as notes and strength, and I felt so relieved. But after an hour I could hardly smell the new version and after a couple of hours it was completely gone!!! 6 hours now and my old one is still going strong and I know I will feel it until tomorrow that time at least. The new one is impossible to scent! This is outrageous! How dare the companies make us spend 165 euro for a scent that lasts 2 hours, since they have a million times better formula before for lower price!!! I would pay immediately 165 euro wven for 75 ml if it was the old supwr longlasting wonderful perfume. I would never pay this price, even a much lower one for the new version! Since the old version is nowhere to be found, I guess I will say farewell to one of my most beloved perfumes. I have four more perfumes from the old version from Keiko Mecheri, and I used to love the brand so much. Now I am so much disappointed that I will never buy a KM perfume again. Do not these perfume houses understand that with this stupid lower quality - higher price policy they just loose loyal clients? Or they count on the new naive ones who didn't try the better versions? But I see new clients are not tempted to by at all, they say the terrible lasting power does not justify the price tag. What is your strategy then, perfumers? I just don't get it! Is it so difficult to keep a good quality once you have accieved it? Or higher earnings over less quality ingredients is the inly thing that intetests you? Such a disappointment from what was such a promising brand!!!

I definitely get yuzu and musk and an indistinguishable "perfumey" type floral. That's about it. Yet, there is something about this that puts it a step above most generic fruity florals. It smells pretty... if I'm stereotyping it smells like a pretty woman in her late teens/early twenties would wear this with a sundress on a nice, sunny spring day. There's something about it that smells like that fresh, clean right out of the shower smell, but it isn't soapy. It's a clean, pretty, feminine, soft fruity scent. The longer it wears the softer it gets. It's soft in a way that almost feels dreamy. I usually hate when people use adjectives like that to describe a fragrance, but that's the only one that comes my mind when I smell it. It's sort of addicting.

I agree with the other reviews as far as the scent goes - pleasant sweet fruity floral musk (light on the musk -it's very transparent/airy/light overall). The longevity is very short (less than 4 hours) on my skin and it's a skin scent with no projection after about the first 30 mins or so. I would say it's pretty and nice but not worth the high price tag for most people. In my opinion, if you already own something like Versace Bright Crystal or any other sort of generic/inoffensive bright and slightly transparent summer fruity floral scent you would like but not need this one.

Hanae is definitely on my list of fragrances to get next spring, it is such a delicious smelling scent, a wonderful mix of fruity notes and flowers.The yuzu gives it an airiness, and it is reminiscent of walking through a Japanese garden starting to bloom. It has the effect of a misty rain. Refreshing, juicy, very very attractive. This is above the rest.

i love this a lot. feels like sipping a citrus ade from a cute korean cafe. finally a citrus that isnt overwhelmed with TREES and BERGAMOT! smells just fine after you sweat a bit too, doesnt oxidize or turn sour. cannot wait to try more from keiko, the quality is impecabble

Beautiful Hanae. Another “humid” fragrance. A mature floral fruity aquatic with a touch of oriental musk. It evokes light and water but brings a heaviness with musc. Very much reminds me of a watercolor painting. I really enjoy this and will hopefully buy a bottle of it

So glad I didn’t blind buy this one. It’s an odd sweet fruity candy scent. The Chopard Mira Bai comparison was promising but the two are really nothing alike, sadly. Hanae is my least favourite Keiko Mecheri fragrance so far.
