The Beautiful Ones

I’m in love with Keiko Mecheri’s perfumes - light , ethereal , well blended and composed of quality ingredients . I have now amassed six floral based bottles and trying out more samples. With The Beautiful Ones , I was unsure that I would like a scent with patchouli . It’s not a note that I’m fond of . When I originally sprayed this indoors, the fragrance was a light gentle Tuberose which was slightly medicinal. I guess this was from the patchouli . I get nothing like Fracas which is a loud , sweet , in your face syrupy Tuberose with astounding silage and longevity . Vintage formulated perfume which I feel I have now surpassed on my white floral journey . Fracas has no patchouli so not sure about the comparison . Originally , the patchouli in TBO put me off . This came across as a medicinal sourness on my skin. Update : sprayed it outside in warmer temperature and the patchouli wasn’t as noticeable anymore. The scent just pops into a beautiful blended , lovely light Tuberose . I also get a light soapy / powdery base . Not sure which notes are creating this but it’s enough to add a bit of depth and femininity to the fragrance . The silage is strong and performance is over 10 hours . TBO just flourished with heat and I got lovely whiffs of a light , creamy Tuberose . Not sure about gourmand notes in the description of the perfume cause I got none . It’s just the right amount of sweetness and this overall won me over . My husband likes it too . I’m going to buy a bottle as this now has turned to LOVE! Amazing how a scent settles after a few sprays or my nose gets accustomed to notes I decided I didn’t like . I’ve been looking for a demure modern, light Tuberose and now I found it for my collection .

Never in all my life, would I expect to love a patchouli forward fragrance. When I see it listed predominantly in a fragrance, I run! It's typically headache inducing and nauseating. The Beautiful Ones is so very different though. Patchouli is absolutely identifiable and discerning here, but Keiko manages to tame it so beautifully with the tuberose. It's truthfully some kind of witchcraft! 😆 Even my husband who has a similar disgust of patchouli, adores this fragrance on me. I really don't get much citrus. To me this is straight tuberose with a patchouli kicker. It is a beautiful white floral, but still different from so many out there. It's not sweet, very well balanced. Sillage is moderate, longevity is good! I received a sample of this when I purchased KM's Datura Blanche. After one week of using my sample, I promptly purchased a full bottle. I will likely buy a backup, as I never want to be without! Absolutely beautiful. A patchouli fragrance for the haters like me.

Stunned this fragrance doesn’t have more reviews. I’m testing it today alongside Fracas, queen of the tuberoses. The Beautiful Ones is better, far and away to my nose, and much stronger on the wrist at the 5 hour mark. They’re both beautiful - but Fracas is greener, and fainter. TBO has something about it - hard to tell with the scant notes information available from the brand, they list what fragrantica has but also “gourmand notes”... my son called it juicy, I call it creamy - a lush fullness and roundness. There’s nothing sharp about it, it’s all cloudy and soft. Absolutely perfect for spring and summer. I want to plaster my wrist to my nose. Heavenly.

This perfume deserves much more attention. What a beautiful tuberose fragrance. I am a tuberose lover and this is a LOVE for me. It’s an elegant, refined tuberose that is modern and polished - no vintage white florals here. I’m usually turned off by patchouli notes, but I can’t pick it out in this fragrance. If it’s in here, it must be very, very light. The tuberose in here sits in a creamy, powdery bed. It’s not as creamy and fluffy as Love Tuberose from Amouage but leans towards that kind of creaminess. It’s a bit lighter but every bit as delicious and elegant. Simply beautiful.

This is a pleasant surprise. It's a beautiful almost-vintage style Tuberose fragrance, but it does feel modernized somewhat too. It opens up smelling vinatge but within a couple minutes it softens and wears like a modern fragrance. There's got to be some missing notes listed here and that's alright. It's not nearly as citrusy as I expected. The patchouli is very smooth and not heavy. The tuberose is very pretty and sweet. I keep wanting to smell it more and more. I almost didn't want to get this because there's no vanilla listed lol - but I'm glad I gave it a shot.

I've been searching for a good tuberose scent for a while, and then I came across this one! There are so many tuberose scents I just cannot take as it has a tendency to make me nauseous over time... THIS ONE though... Oh my. It is so so creamy without being too heavy. It could sort of be the middle child between Rouge malachite and vert malachite, but without the dirty aftertaste of the malachites (in my opinion, sorry). If you sort of like tuberose, but haven't found one you can handle yet, do try this one! It's gorgeous.

Narcotic Venus but done in even more carnal and natural way. I love it. The white floral mix is not sharp, dated or too mature, even the patchouli is not prominent. Sometimes white florals (like Marfa from Memo) come to my mind as a granny perfume but this one ticks the cathegory "pretty girl perfume" similar as Rouge Malachite.

First impression: A beautiful rich 'perfumy' tuberose, delicious and pillowy in a 1980's big white floral way. A definite 'yes' for me. Love.

Something you've always been searchning for... And yet something you already know. Strong and still so refined and lady-like... Just beautiful!
