Sheikh Al Shyookh

Attractive Arabic take on the modern orange craze. The only thing is that it doesn't last long.

This is not subtle or weak for me att all. My first thought about this was... napalm? I smell strong bergamot and anise on a very clean musk (oud?) background. I can't smell any dirty, animalic, heavy woody or even "blood" kind metallic here. Only pure white clean musky (oud?)with only hint of sandalwoody vanilla. It' very linear smell, anise with big bergamot stay and don't give space for ambra or vanilla. First that disturbed me, but now I really enjoy this just for that. After all sweet sents I recommend this for days when you want smell pure white and clean. Longevity in this is great and sillage amazing. Even so that can cause headaches for someone who is prone to it. Unisex for sure. Try it! it's very "not expensive", but I warn; If you don't like it, you can't use this even in toilet cleaner. It's.. hmm.... napalm?

Definitely not a safe blind buy, this is a very VERY very strong essence that kind of resembles a very old uncle smell. I really tried to like it but does not work for me, too much musky and woody.

Long lasting, tender and you can feel the oud ... it's light and faint and feminine, rather than thick and barnyard-ish. The opening is citrusy, zesty, with a twist of musk and the fragrance further improves as it develops into a creamy sandalwood orange with a slight "golden" feel to it. Creamy and juicy at the same time. Great value for a 100ml bottle. It may not be the safest blind buy either if you are a more citrusy person or if you are particular about your ouds, because it really is more about the sandalwood than anything else. But it's definitely worth owning something as beautiful, light, creamy, fresh, yet elegant, unpretentious and comfortable, which works all year round for me. When I don't know what I feel like wearing - it's my goto. And I feel pretty and safe with it, able to register whiffs that others seem to like too. Nobody has told me that this smells stunningly. What I usually get from people is "you smell good". I guess in this not-so-unique at first glance mixture, there's enough of inoffensive novelty to get people to register and appreciate it. Interesting mention: Once I wore it with long white cotton romper, light golden sandals, sprayed my hair with this and two people told me I smell like the colors I was dressed in. Noted it as I thought to myself that maybe due to the colors of the packaging (bottle and box) I must have felt too that these colors depict this fragrance and naturally matched them with my outfit without this being my focus at all.

I never loved this perfume until I decided to spray it on a sweater after it came out of the wash. A couple days later while wearing said sweater, I kept getting whiffs of a soft, musky scent. Heavenly. The citrus scent that reminds me of cleaning products was gone and that’s when I find it enjoyable.

To me this smells like raw banana skins. The lasting power of this fragrance is brilliant!
