Aurum

At first I was disappointed, too sweet, too fruity, and just not me. Then a day later I reached for it again and noticed what a soothing effect Aurum had on me. The opening was more digestible this time, and it didn't last as long. The chocolate covered strawberries dipped in a heavy vanilla whipping cream lasted less than 10 min. and opened the door to what I consider some of my most favorite notes, heliotrope, patchouli, oakmoss, incense and labdanum. Ah, what a comforting dry down. One of the base notes is agar wood but it must be a small amount or very well blended since I can't detect its presence. I became heavily addicted to this fragrance and wore it 4 days in a row. Longevity is amazing, 12 hrs or more, and sillage--my gosh, one of the best from my entire collection. I received compliments by pretty much everyone I came in contact with. Oh, and the bottle is to die for!

A lovely Oriental chypre centered around nice Turkish Rose. The perfume opens with this rose surrounded by hints of lemon, bergamot and orange. As it begins to settle gourmand notes of chocolate, strawberry and a lovely labdanum emerge. Finally it settles into a beautiful mossy powdery base of heliotrope, patchouli, oakmoss, vanilla, oud, incense and labdanum, with the rose lingering in the background. The unisex (slight feminine leaning) scent has a pronounced but understated sillage and projection and very good longevity. This one is the Arabian nights dreams. Enjoy!

Very nice , u can feel the strawberry , chocolate , rose and a touch of oud 8.5/ 10 If u love the above combination this fragrance for you and it's very high quality Edit : I wish this get more aoud , it will join my arsenal ASAP Love it

Hey guys i'm selling my almost full bottle, i'm in Italy :)

#1222 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I found this decant of original Kemi "Aurum. " I've previously reviewed Xerjoff Aurum, the scent being produced since Xerjoff acquired Kemi. I had deep respect for Kemi as a perfume house, and now that I can affirm another Kemi formulation remains unchanged in the Xerjoff version, I have mad respect for Xerjoff acquiring them and leaving their formulations alone. So often when a house is absorbed by one of the mega-conglomerates their more niche products are killed and their popular fragrances reformulated with cheaper ingredients. Not so here. Xerjoff "Aurum" is Kemi "Aurum" intact and unchanged, and it's a great fragrance with great quality, but it's not for me. This is not a gourmand in any sense, but it is for chocolate lovers, and I am someone that would only eat chocolate cake if the alternative were dying of starvation. I just can't do strong chocolate notes at all, and there's no mistaking the chocolate note here. Like an 88% cacao chocolate bar ground up and mixed into this formulation. And while I feel better about it after about 30 minutes when that strong chocolate note goes deep background, it's still there. I expected that when I ordered this decant because I had the identical take on Xerjoff Aurum. Great scent. The quality, as with all the Kemi scents, does not get better than this. Solidly unisex. Versatile. Inoffensive, for most people, in any environment, but not something I will wear or give to anyone I'm interested in being intimate with. It's a bummer, because as a child I lived four miles from where Heath bars are made, and as an adult drove by the Brown and Haley (Almond Roca) production facility on the way to work each morning, so I could have bought their chocolate confections at their drive-up factory shops for pennies on the dollar over the grocery store prices. But I'm a fresh fruit guy, not a candy guy.

#695 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I got this sample as a sprayette labeled "Kemi Aurum" which it appears is now Xerjoff Aurum. This is a nice one, though a bit more feminine leaning thanks to the rose note. Member Jaylimmo described it as, "Strawberry Nestle’s Quik and old library books." Harsh, but not entirely wrong. For me the chocolate stands out more than the strawberry, but it definitely confuses my sniffer to the point where I'm torn between liking it and deciding it's too much like tearing into a box of Christmas chocolates. You know the ones with the fruity goo filling that you know will make you sick to your stomach if you keep eating them, but you keep eating them. So I think it's a likeable scent. Probably just not for me. I think it's car pool, elevator and small office safe if you don't overdo it. Probably a better choice for cooler weather than for Summer.

The first Kemi I dislike. It lasts for ages and the sillage is enormous, so if this is your cup of tea, hurry and get it. In my case I cannot stand it... it reminds me of MFK Oud Satin mood... you know this heavy rose, very sweet, almost grotesque... with a heavy dose of synthetic strawberry... bordering on nauseating to me. My biggest problem with a scent is when I cannot think of anyone who could wear it. It is so loud and sweet that to me it'd be out of place in most settings. I feel there was a search for something "grand" without keeping some subtlety to the concoction so that it simply overwhelms without a balance.

I spilled mu sample on the floor, so I have to write a review 😅 . What I get is rose in a bed of resin. Deeply rich, yet inoffensive. Slightly fruity, even though I can't point to strawberry directly. A wonderful fall scent. I probably won't be able to fairly judge its longevity since it's bedtime, but if I can smell it in the morning, I'll be back with an update. Edit: the floor smelled of rose for a few days afterwards 😅 .

This smell might not be a one-of-a-kind scent, and you need to test it urself, but I liked how it smelled on my skin, very mellow, the strawberry is captivating, not too fruity, the dry down is even better! It kind of reminds me of a certain special smell, I don't wish to disclose it, but... (test it first)

Syrupy sweet fruity and rosy opening. Sweet spicy vanillic mid. Chocolatey woody base. Rose is present throughout the wear. The oud is friendly/sweetened the way I enjoy smelling oud. Unisex because it's a pretty dark fragrance. It's a pretty good and romantic fragrance but I can't say I love it. -

Valentines day in a bottle. Sweet roses, strawberry and chocolate. The oud is there but takes a bit of a backseat with the vanilla. Not overly strong compared to other oud rose fragrances. 7/10

Initially I thought it was great, but the more I try the more I find it too sweet and syrupy compared to other sweet rose-ouds

Nice. A perfect Valentine's scent. Big overripe strawberry and milk chocolate that melts away as the rose blooms. The rose softens to oud, sitting close, then turns to water on the skin. It's addictive, the I-want-more of cake, too easy to reapply until one has a stomach ache. I'd save up for it, if it lasted longer.

My first disappointment from Kemi. Cheap watery cooking chocolate, candied, strawberry tinged rose with a nondescript synthetic vanillic sweetness that waxes and wanes in the background are what I'm getting from it. I was rooting for some oud in the dry down in hope that it would compensate for the dreadfully yawn-inducing open but nope, oud is nowhere to be found. All in all, an Oud Satin Mood wannabe with a green twist that smells much inferior to the MFK.

This is very similar to black intensitive aoud by mancera. Same rose and candy combo just with a hint of spices. If you want roses to be dominant in your rose oud combo then this maybe for you. But the screechy sweetness ruins it for me. And oud touch which comes at end is super synthetic and nose hurting after some point. Try with caution.

Syrupy sweet rose Oud. Aurum doesn’t remind me of Oud Satin Mood, but it does remind me of several other Oud Rose centric perfumes. Something about this blend reminds me of a gas station bathroom smell.

Total luxury. Rose with citrus, then rose with chocolate, then rose with rich spice soaked booze vanilla and some other note(s) that lends it a luxurious perfume quality (labdanum?) that I don't know how to name. I spray it on before bed and it's still there when I wake up. It is rich, delicious, reassuring and persistent. This frag is a masterpiece rose gourmand. It's everything I've ever thought a luxury perfume should smell like, and they could easily slap a few Swarovski crystals on the cap to command the prices Roja charges, it is that good to me.

Strawberry right off the bat no doubt about it but it doesn't last an enormous amount of time to be fair. I don't really get a lot of chocolate but as it dries down I get the rose vanilla and a slight Oud which smells very, very similar to the drydwon of MFK's Oud Satin Mood to my nose. It's nice but not THAT nice to justify the high price tag. Longevity and projection were moderate, nothing to write home about unlike some other Xerjoff offerings. My advice, sample this and Oud Satin Mood and see which you prefer. My vote goes to the MFK.

Fruity sweet beautiful gooey oud, blended beautifully, the syrupy feel with the rose create a sophisticated aura, the chocolate is light but the oud really fits in well in the scent and throws off that elegance as it creates a delicate scent bubble for you, top class from Kemi, it has a vibe of fruit grape springwater or double apple flavoured hookah, if you know you know. A love for me, personally.

tried this recently and was blown away by its persistence. sprayed just a teeny bit and wow what a performer ! highly rich quality too and i like it very much but its just that the 'smell type' is not my most fav. i'd love to get something similiar in quality and performance but a dominantly green scent. if any got any suggestions please let me know thanks

I really vibe with this fragrance. My favorite from this house is by far Hayat. If you're looking for a rose similar to this at a fraction of this price, check out Zaharoff Rose'. Zaharoff Rose' is more wearable, but if you looking for a more dessert type of rose, this is your fragrance.

An absolutely phenomenal boozy fruit tinged oud. Kemi blending really is magic as they somehow bring all the notes together perfectly. As the previous reviewer noted, this came off as very sweet at first but a few wearings and this is an absolute gem. The longevity is easily 18+ hours.

To my nose, it's a rose-patch bomb, sweetened and flattened by the strawberry-choco combo. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful scent, it's just not as nuanced, dense and multi-faceted as I hope it would be. Still nice and worth trying, just not what I personally expected...

Remember those strawberry hard candies that had some sort of flavored fluid in the middle and came in a metallic strawberry wrapper? This fragrance smells like a heavy glob of those candies melted over Noir de Noir, if Noir de Noir were made by Paco Rabanne.

Scent - strawberry, rose, vanilla chocolate & oud. Season/Time of Day - I prefer to use this one in the colder months, day or night. Projection - I did get noticed, it garners compliments. Longevity - I get 6hrs consistently.

I just test it with 5 other perfumes a day can't smell anything!! Lol even with coffee beans, I will wear the tester one day soon and come back to review it again, today can't smell anything! Sorry.
