Jeu d'Amour Eau de Toilette

Absolutely fall in love with the EDT. I must purchase the EDP too, though it's pretty different from the EDT (seems to be a new trend in perfumery - to vary notes passing from edt to edp and/or elixir). Beautiful freesia/pear/tuberose combination for start which later on fades onto a warm musky frag. Light, not overwhelming. Actually, it lingers very pleasantly around you. Kenzo Flower is my true love since 11 years by now (together with Lolita Lempicka's first frag) but this Jeu d'Amour is gettng the bronze medal! Perfection...

Jeu d'Amour opens with a juicy pear trickling into the air, closely followed by a soft tuberose. The other florals surround these two. Settling down, cedar and a docile musk become more prominent. After a while I mostly smell pear and cedar, a very demure tuberose. It's a fleeting scent or maybe one that quickly makes you noseblind to it and flies under the radar, because, when in fresh air I seem to catch whiffs of it for a longer time, but the more I sniff my wrists, the more it eludes me. After about two hours Jeu d'Amour starts to flatten out. It's a bright scent, very cheerful. Subtle at the same time. In my mind it falls into the same category as Dior's J'adore, although I can smell the latter for longer. There's no sharp edges, it's a nice harmony of accords, very suitable for spring and summer in my opinion, but wearable all year round. My bottle is from 2015.

Quite similar to the EDP version. I think it's just as good. I sense tuberose and cedar, so in my opinion, it's white floral and woody. Slightly fruity, but not very sweet. Calms down very nicely. Elegant powdery white floral.

Ah tuberose, why do you hate me so? Top notes are nice, but later I just can't like it. Well, I can't help it. It's just not for me.
