Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum

I made an acc. here just to give review on this perfume as it is so wroongly given so low mark !! - This is one of the best ''day'' perfumes i've ever put on myself ! - Scent is pretty unique and not so simmiliar to any other perfume unlike most perfumes which you can define simmiliarity to some other pefume as soon as you try it on. (It's indeed most simmiliar to Paco Rabbane line of perfumes... It's NOT simmiliar to Davidoff-Cool water in any way!) (i'm using Paco Rabbane from time to time and i've tried Davidoff-Cool water once and it's nowhere near Kenzo-pour Homme greatness, actually, Kenzo (to me) is better then any of the Paco Rabbane scent and it's light years ahead of Davidoff - Scent is not intense and heavy yet who ever is standing close to you or passing by near you will definitely smell it! - Since it's not so prominent and strong/heavy smelling, i don't think many men above 35-40y will put it on themself - That being said, first time i tried it, i couldn't stop smelling by hands through entire drink with my girlfriend. She was also very fond of it and she commented how to her it's better then the one i wear in that period (Carolina Herrera - Vip 212 black) as she generally doesn't like heavy perfumes. Few hours later we went with my friend and his girlfriend on drink and as soon as we sat down the table my friends girlfriend noticed the smell and she liked it very much! Beside my girlfriend and my friends girlfriend, in less then a year since i first tried/bought it, i was asked a dozen times about it from other people i know and few times from girls passing by which i didn't know. Shortly; girls love it! (Very) important thing you should know; *EDT & cologne version doesn't smell near the same as EDP!!* Notes of the scent are significantly different (worse) and that is probably reason why this perfume is *extremely* undervalued on this site. Just for the record, since i started wearing perfumes and generally enjoying fragrances, i have/had and been using; Christina Herrera - Vip 212 (black and white) & Bad Boy, Paco Rabanne (almost all of them), Christian Dior - Sauvage, Channel (bleu & allure), Blvgari (few from the line), Diesel - Only for the Brave, Versace - Eros & Pour Homme, Givenchy - Gentlemen, Yves Saint Laurent (almost all of them), Armani - Aqua di Gio, among others perfumes.. (edt/colognes/deodorants as well) and Kenzo - Pour homme eau de Parfum is in my top 3 of all scents i've ever put on myself! Enough said.. 9/10

I got Kenzo pour homme EDT version a long time ago, I loved it back then to a point that I missed wearing, but the sad part was that I couldn't find Kenzo EDT anywhere, until I've found Kenzo pour homme EDP. Now, the EDP version is somewhat, matured and ocean/aquatic scented and it doesn't remind me much of the EDT version at all. I made a review for Invictus Legend a while back, and I said that it reminded me of it, but without the bubblegum vibe. This is the fragrance for beach/ocean side lovers out there, who likes to enjoy themselves or accompanied with their loved ones in a coffeeshop at the shore. You can also wear it in the office, just like the EDT version, it will pull compliments and won't offend anyone noses (Bosses specially). Though I got to say it! Kenzo pour Homme EDP performance works, pretty darn good, in hot summer days, for some reason, 9 hours plus change on skin. As for spring season, let's say mild temperature, the performance fades after 5 maybe 6 hours tops. Overall, In my opinion, it's a pretty bottle (better looking than the simple foggy navy blue bottle) it's an affordable perfume and easy to wear, wether is casual or for dating, and I recommend it for those who are aquatic fragrace lovers

This is the best Invictus type smell. It doesnt have that Invictus sweetness nor does it have the zestyness of Invictus Aqua. It does have citruses but they are smooth, not sharp. It does have sweetness but it is tamed with uplifting and fresh mint. You get more aquatic woody sandalwood feel in the drydown. To me, this is what Invictus should have smelled like. Not to mention, it lasts and because its silky smooth, it doest get cloyng yet it pulls compliments and that mint and soft citruses make all the difference whem its extreme heat summer. Sadly, I dont see it anymore. The whole line seems to have been discontinued and replaced with the new bamboo bottle type which have little in common with these releases and are watered down heavily. New bamboo EDT smels like the OG from the 90s but it lasts for shit. EDT Intense starts like Kenzo Night but that goes away in 20 mons and you get a different watered down smell. The new Kenzo Parfum... has nothing to do with this one.

Bought this just yesterday in Tehran's MotherPerfumes for about 75$, which is a pretty modest price for a good, reputable brand here in Iran. I tested like 25 different perfumes in a span of 2 hours, 45 minutes to make sure about the sillage and longevity. This was the only one among the latest I could choose and I am happy with my purchase. The top notes are the same as mentioned here. The same is with the midnotes. But the end note has no trace of vanilla or vetyver IMO. It's more of a mixture of cedarwood and musk. The sillage is very good and the longevity excellent. Highly recommended for those who seek to give an impression of appeal and freshness at the same time. IMO, it can be used even in autumn.

Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum it is a summer scent. Many people here say that is similar to Invictus. Strange but I've never had Invictus. Instead for that I have Hawas from Rasasi. So, there are many similarities between these two perfumes. Hawas is a marine scent but in a brut way. Kenzo is a really sweet vanilla - coconut scent with marine notes. Their similarity is about 90% indeed. Personally I don't know which one to wear because both are very very good and become almost the same after 1 hour. At the end let's say that Kenzo is better for exotic places (sweet vanilla - coconut) during summertime while Hawas can be a city summertime perfume. Kenzo is one of my favourite summertime perfume.

This was the first fragrance that I ever bought for myself, around 4 years ago. It's a very nice scent and it makes me kinda sad to see that it's discontinued :( The opening is minty, sweet and fresh. After just a few minutes the sweetness fades away and the freshness remains with a clear marine/aquatic vibe, but with a strong woody background. Eventually it becomes a nice woody/incense/sandalwood intimate scent. Longevity is good and projection is moderate, but definitely ok for summer/spring and even fall. The woody base notes together with the aromatic freshness make it for a very masculine scent, most girls that have smelled this almost instantly described it as "smells like a man".

Aromatic lightly sweet opening that reminds me of a fresh mint-citrus caipirinha at the Copacabana. Great beach or summer freshie with a smooth vetiver-woody base. I do like the balance of the scent, just wish the Marine/Sea Notes would be a bit more prominent. Longevity is good with moderate sillage/projection. Also quite versatile from casual outdoors to casual Friday at the office. Overall a pleasant and enjoyable fragrance.

It is a really pleasant and easy-going fragrance. It smells really good in the air than directly on my skin. Good longevity. Project well for the first few hours. Very nice, the price also affordable the same as other Kenzo fragrances. The bottle also looks good. Rating 7.75/10(has zero similarity to EDT, maybe misleading people that think this is EDP version of the original) Avoid if you don't like Blue sweet fragrance.

Guys, guys, relax! All I see in comment section is most of you being worried how it smells, because someone elses opinion. Just try it... It maybe has some similarities with Invictus, but that's just this aquatic feel. Buy hey - it is meant to be that way, it's for HOT days. To me, it is extremely pleasing. Actually, number 1 on my summer wish list. Just try it! 9/10

Becomes a skin scent past 8+ hours but it projects more then half way through. 12 hours in you can still smell it, This Is a Semi Spicy, Semi Sweet, Bright See Through Blue Ocean Close To The Forrest Aquatic. Great Imagery For The Price Range And Smells Different From Most Aquatics, Alittle Bit Powdery So The Scent Could Very On Person To Person.

This one gets so much hate, and I learned to not taking negative reviews so seriously. This perfumes hits 👌🏻, its masculine fresh and a little sweet at the same time, and whoever says that this smells like a "dead fish" is big time capping 🧢. Cause you can smell the citrus, the spices and the watery notes

I actually really liked this one, i had already made up my mind not to try this as i hated the original, but i got a sample with a purchase so of course i had to try it, as stated by another reviewer this is an updated version of the old one that is more suitable for 2017 and i have to agree on that one.

This is one of the few fragrances that have gotten me compliments in the office. I spray one on my neck, bare chest, on top of my undershirt, and then another on my wrist, and it lasts the whole work day for me. I can still smell it on me when I change out of my work clothes. It is worth picking up!

Its sad that this has bad ratings and is called a clone when it came out before invictus aqua,I'm really starting to dislike this site based on the hate towards really good fragrances,im just tired of everything so called smelling similar to invictus aqua and dior sauvage getting trashed.......peace

One of my top favorite summer parfum colognes. I live in Texas and man does it get hot down here. Wearing this cologne and on these hot days is just a great combination. You can’t go wrong with it! Smells great, great longevity, great sillage and very affordable. Do yourself a favor and buy it!

Foi meu perfume assinatura por muito tempo! Abre com notas herbais de menta, corpo se destaca o bambu e maresia, rastro de bambu. Uma pena que tiraram de linha. Na minha pele deu uma projeção moderada e uma fixação de mais de 6 horas.

Tested this yesterday around 04:00 pm. Opens very Fresh with the Lime and Lemon. Today 01:00 pm still going strong. Clean Woody and a bit sweetness in the drydown. This is longlasting freshness!

Best from Homme family, smell, uniquesness, longevity

I've been trying out my sample again and it's only just hit me of another scent this reminds me of :Polo Sport by Ralph Lauren! Of course it's not the exact same but with that minty citrus, especially in the opening it shares some similarities. I currently don't own Polo Sport but have an incredibly similar fragrance: Magnetic Power Navy Blue by Jeanne Arthes, and Kenzo Homme Parfum definitely shares some olfactory goodies with that one too. Having spent some time with this one I think it's a little different from Invictus (+Aqua), Legend Spirit et al. Although sharing some facets with those this EDP has it's own thing going yet IMO it also looks back to Polo Sport as a big inspiration. It could have been marketed as a new sport flanker or given another name (perhaps 'Wave' or even 'spirit' or something like that) to avoid confusion and negative comments from people expecting an EDP version of the original Kenzo Pour Homme, as yes they are quite different. A good scent, definitely worth trying for a modern minty-citrus sporty fragrance. For me it's not a love (yet?) but I do like it and might buy it one day if I see a good deal but really my Polo Sport clone mentioned above does the job for now.

I bought this fragrance expecting it to be an EDP version of the vintage and well-known Kenzo Pour Homme. I was let down in this regard, as it is an entirely different fragrance. This has caused alot of people to harshly judge this fragrance. However, despite everything, its not a bad fragrance, in fact it's quite good. Kenzo Homme EDP has a very soapy opening scent that is followed by a minty, citrus, aquatic scent with minor spicy notes. It has been compared to Invictus by Paco Rabanne which Kenzo Homme EDP does share some in common with, but both are different fragrances. This fragrance for the price has a good scent for the forumulation and lasts a VERY long time with moderate projection. For $45 it's worth checking out, and is a good casual fragrance. *Update*: After wearing this fragrance for several days, I can say with great certainty that it is indeed a strong fragrance, that has resulted in many compliments and questions about what I am wearing/where to buy it. I admit I was skeptical about this fragrance at first given the negative reviews, but it is indeed a solid fragrance that is sure to impress.

I can see why lots of users dislike this. It's loud, somewhat generic in its composition, and of course, has absolutely nothing to do with the original Kenzo Homme EDT. That being said, this is a decent fragrance. It's a contemporary interpretation of freshness with a HUGE mint and citrus opening and creamy, semi-sweet drydown. It does invoke a feeling of salty ocean air, at least initially; while the opening can be overwhelming, I think it's the best part of the fragrance. It doesn't smell like Invictus. It's in the same genre but compared side-by-side they aren't even close. The Cool Water votes are even worse! Kenzo Homme EDP is definitely best suited for warmer weather and casual wear, but if you're into the whole "shower gel" thing then I don't see why you can't wear it year-round. For a fragrance with such a loud opening, it's relatively safe and mass-appealing. I'd definitely wear this over Invictus. As for the original EDT? They are not comparable.

Kenzo Eau de Parfum is an aromatic, marine and fresh fragrance. Its output is bubblegum fruity, is imposible don't think immediately in Invictus, but it has a little differences. For me Kenzo EDP is more sweet and intense in marine and fruity notes, also changes its green chord using mint leaf instead of bay leaf. This fragrance it makes me think in young and happy people, is sweet but in fresh mode. It could be used in school, informal outputs or with friends. Its longevity was very good near to 12 hrs. with good sillage first two hours. Very good alternative for those who like Invictus of Paco Rabanne

Warm, soft, powdery wood. Light but masculine. I think it better fits the intended character of this frag to only spray one or two sprays. With three, it starts to feel a little dense. But essentially, to me, it's a fuller version of John Varvatos Artisian Teal. I'd rather not wear either in the summer, but it can be done with less sprays, but in colder months, these bright aquatic scents really liven things up. Edit: Wore this a few times in high heat after chemo and loving it. Still like Kenzo par Kenzo better but this is very nice. I think it's good year round, very versatile.

I get the Invictus vibe on this one, but to my nose this smells less synthetic and fresher. The spicy touch adds a modern twist to this one and it's a very different scent when compared to the OG EDT from the 90's. Surprisingly long lasting and it's one of those that after 6 hours or so, when you think its gone and you don't smell it anymore, a breeze hits and you get this enveloping scent cloud again to remind you this frag is still going strong. The EDT is still my favorite, but i'll be wearing this one for sure and my gf likes this one more than the EDT.

Kenzo Takadas version of Invictus Aqua. This is not a masterpiece in any means, but this is the best Invictus type fragrance I tried. Opening is not realistic Mint and and Sea notes and as it develops there is green Sage note that I really like. When that Invictus type sweetness goes away this fragrance starts to shine. Vanilla and Sandalwood take over with a little bit of spice and you can even smell little bit of that Sage in the drydown. Good Invictus Aqua alternative with a bit more character. For me: 7/10

I just smelled this today, I don't get the hate for it and especially the low score here when stuff like Dior Sauvage is heavily worshiped but each to their own. To my nose it's a powerful and fresh modern men's fragrance, it's not reinventing anything but KHEDP is a strong challenger to the many (many!) other similar style scents out there. Edit: Extremely long-lasting on my skin. I have a sample now so will give it a few more wearings, might buy a bottle. Really impressive stuff!

NOT AS GOOD AS ORIGINAL My second trip to fiji and all I wanted was another bottle of Kenzo air. NOPE There is this. Very watered down a bit sweeter but dissapointing. Its nice but does not have the sillage as the original i mean its nice but shuold be cheaper if it feels like its only half what the original is. Still its better to have some good pong rather than none. Its the fresh sea breeze you will love and jsut wish it would stay on you a bit longer. 7/10

Can a female wear this? Well i do. I got an sample and my husband didn't like it so i wear it instead. Cool Marine note in The begining, gets a bit booring afterwards like an old cologne IF you sniff intenslybut but i still like it. My cosmetica consious friends wear male-perfumes and have their own favourites, now i know why. Its a good brake from typical Lady-perfume and quite nice :)

I just received over 20 bottles of cologne, . This one rated in the top 2 for me out of those. I must say, the bottle looks really cheap, but upon smelling it I was VERY pleasantly surprised. Its really pleasant smelling and mass appealing. Well done again Kenzo. 7/10 Very nice. Blind buy approved.

Kenzo Homme EDP = Invictus AQUA (not regular) And I agree that there is NO DNA of original Kenzo PH in this flanker ! Quite soapy - shower gel vibe as Invictus Aqua and YSL Sport have. 6/10 because of a good performance on my skin decent frag but not must have unless you got a bargain....

This fresh scent is too generic, and similar to the well known and cheaper Animale for men, that I had once. In spite of being a 'parfum', the projection of this Kenzo isn't very strong. Longevity is normal. Certainly this is a good choice to practice sports.

In my opinion, superior and well-balanced hybrid of Invictus Aqua and Versace Eros. The sea notes are in there, but it is that blast of mint and the depth of vanilla that makes this perfect for spring and early summer. Might be too sweet for very hot weather.

A long-lasting, aquatic freshie. Great performance all around (2017 batch), and a consistent compliment puller. Slight minty fresh opening that becomes aquatic. Similar to Invictus but a little less sweet. 8/10.

I just sprayed it testing. I immediately get Paco Rabanne Invictus in mind. Smells so much like it. It's an half hour on and still the same. But i think it smells good. less cloying than invictus

Why Kenzo destroys their Kenzo Pour Homme legend with this lame flanker is beyond be. Another Invictus clone. Shame on you Kenzo ! Absolutely not worth your nose and cash.

Strong Lysol notes for me in the opening. Drydown is fresh and aquatic. Moderate sillage. Have not tried in the summer but is very much a summer scent.

I find the smell similar with Hugo Boss Unlimited. It's long lasting compared to the latter but the projection is weak.

Discontinued so if you like grab a back-up bottle.

Sweet-fresh, in the neighbourhood of Invictus. Not very interesting... It's fine. I will say this: unlike many similar sweet-fresh-sporty masculine fragrances of this type, at least it doesn't get cloying and nauseating as it dries down, it just gently fades away.

Worst blind buy ever! Terrible silage and longevity! And the smell is very generic and synthetic.

I totally agree with Endymion. In my late teens and early twenties, I loved Kenzo because they were rather different in the designer segment. But this, this is about as generic as it gets. I've smelled this before. Does it remind me of Dior's Sauvage? Who knows. There is no link to the original Kenzo Pour Homme, not even a slightest note. And that's okay, because it's no problem if Kenzo would decide to come up with something completely new. Except, this isn't something new at all. They haven't done it before, but a lot of others have. And that's a shame. Kenzo was one of the few houses I still had a high regard for within the segment, but this doesn't really do it any good.

Aquatic fragrance that preserves the same DNA of the other Kenzo Homme of the same line. Here the beginning is quite beautiful and above all fresh, this freshness is provided by a cocktail of citrus, mint and cardamom that together with the marine note produces an immense and gratifying freshness, and then begin to evolve in a sweet woody with much less personality And much more generic and unbalanced than the beautiful beginning seeming here in the drying to so many other designer more, as some fellow pointing towards Invictus for example, and reason does not lack. The duration is very good and the projection acceptable. It does not convince me just yet. Rating: 4

I tried hard to like this blind-buy, but I just couldn't. It's a sharp and piercing synthetic mess. The opening is a mix of synthetic smells, with some sweetness, an off-putting green note and most prominently, something sour. It reminds me of a cheap laundry detergent or body wash. As it dries, the sweetness quickly vanishes. It maintains the sour smell into the dry-down, but the unpleasant green note becomes more pronounced. I detect zero vanilla, sandalwood or spice at any point. The projection is pretty poor. It's little more than a skin scent at about 1 hour.

It is a weaker version of Invictus as has been said, only Invictus lasts twice as long. Design of the bottle is nice, that's the positive. This just lacks any imagination or creativity, something Kenzo were famed for, whether you loved or hated their fragrances, they were different. Longevity was shocking, three generous sprays, I had 2 hours from it, avoid and buy something more imaginative. 0/5

To me it smells like a fresh minty shower gel at first. Better than the original but on the cost of not being very unique. Yes, some invictus vibes but it is more like an old school mint frag from late 80s/90s. Blended fairly well and projects softly. Edit: caught a clear resemblance to 1 million parfum here, some sort of dirty coconut thing.

A very vulgar fragrance. I usually don't dislike fragrances that much, but this one is repulsive. Specially the opening. Later, there is an interesting woody note, but overall i can't stand it. The water note is really bad. Longevity is moderate (unfortunately) and sillage is soft. I wouldn't like to smell it on a man.

If you like the smell of dead fish, you'll love this cologne. Marine or aquatic notes can be tricky. If you like that sort of thing, though, go for it. Myself, I don't care to smell like rotting sea creatures and rancid seaweed. Again, if that's your jam, please don't get offended. We're all different.
