Kenzo Homme Sport

I blind bought this. Been wearing for several days. Love it. Right, it's not mind blowing, but I think it still has its own uniqueness. Very pleasant from start to end. Doesn't project like crazy for sure, yet it is what it is. It does the work nicely. Very uplifting every second getting a whiff of it. Really interesting juicy a bit sweet citrucy in the beginning. Plus a just right dose of mint blending with that fruity fresh juicy sweet citrucy. The start getting that interesting ginger and bit of spicyness in the middle. The sweet refreshing citrucy is still there though. Then ends in smooth vetiver and woody cedar. I get a consistent 5-6 hours of longevity. Spraying on clothes however, really help to 7-8 hours. It even stays for days on my jacket. In short, this is a great option for daily wear. It suits nicely both in hot weather and cooler times like night summer or rainy tropical climate. Very happy everytime getting a whiff of this scent after 3 or 5 hours from the first spray. So underrated. Joy Amin gave it 9/10 if I'm not mistaken. I agree with him, though for me it's a solid 8.5/10.

Something about the drydown or latter end of this scent just really intrigues me. Towards the end ginger, mint, lemon and maybe grapefruit combine to make an odd scent that I like to smell. It has an odd beginning, maybe synthetic or lemon furniture polish-like of an aroma. This weird beginning to it goes away and moves on to a slightly spicey end life. Dior's Homme Sport is just a tick or notch above this Kenzo sport scent, the ginger is sweeter and stands out more in that Dior fragrance. This is lite and lasts well into the 5-6 hour range and radiates well off of my skin.

The opening it's fresh grapefruit juice with ice cubes, ginger slices and mint. Very refreshing and yummy! The dry down remind me of VPH and Allure Sport plus the ginger note. It's pretty linear and safe, great fragrance for summer outdoor activities. Can be find quite cheep, so for the money the fragrance have very good value. Decent longevity and very good projection in the first hour. Much better that Sport Extreme in my opinion. Two thumbs up!

★Really nice scent ,fresh and refreshing EDT ,very unique and amazing combination of mint and ginger beside citrus and spices that is masterly balanced makes it a great fragrance for hot days, I wish it has more silage and longevity but being pleasant even just for myself when I wear it seems satisfying***********★

Great, underrated, scent. Smells really nice, fresh and original. The only problem is that is doesn't last very long. Longevity: 6/10 Sillage: 7/10 Scent: 10/10

What a fresh, uplifting scent!

In 1991, Kenzo brought Kenzo Pour Homme, which became a sales success and maintains numerous faithful fans, until nowadays. And as happened with other famous brands, the market has evolved and opened space for versions of the biggest hits in the world perfumery. Obviously, Kenzo Pour Homme has also won several versions, such as Kenzo Homme Fresh, Kenzo Homme Boisee (also called Kenzo Woody) and, in 2012, this sport version, which already owns even an intense version called Kenzo Homme Sport Extreme, released in 2013. Kenzo Homme Sport follows the visual line of men's fragrances, with bamboo-inspired bottle, this time in a gray-blue tone and with the letters in red. It seems, too, that some bottles were sold with the "sport" word in the same white and smoky style as in the box, but that they do not continue being marketed currently. Another important aspect is that the perfumer of this fragrance was François Demachy, who created fragrances for Acqua di Parma, in addition to numerous successes of Dior, Fendi and Givenchy. This is not a replacement version of Kenzo Homme Fresh, as some believe. The latter was a great alternative of freshness to the original version. Here, I see another attempt to create a new version, focused on establishing its place within the family Kenzo Homme. And if we're going to talk about dna, this one kept something from the Boisee (Woody) version, with the notes of mint in the output and cedar in the base. Kenzo Homme Sport is an aromatic spicy fragrance, with tonic notes of Mint and ginger, combined with the grapefruit, which merge into a heart of geranium and a base of cedar and vetiver. The output is almost an energizing shock, rich in citrus and refreshing aromas, ideal for the sportsman. The heart is more voluminous and the Ginger takes time to appear, but is a full prize for those who enjoy fragrances with this note. Finally, the base is woody and light with the typical aroma of cedar, representing the soil in which the athlete steps. The sillage is great and the lasting is not bad, as many others within the standards of sporting fragrances. For the man who doesn't make a point of showing off, who is free and sexy in a natural way and doesn't take life too seriously, Kenzo has brought Kenzo Homme Sport. I must confess that I'm curious about the Extreme Sport version.

Bleu de Chanel meets Terre d'Hermes in assists of Guerlain Homme touch. Quite odd notes combination. Kenzo Sport smells weird and intriguing at the same time. I don't know if I like it or not therefore i still have a bottle from 2013 and use it occasionally. Wife likes it thou 7/10

Unfortunately longevity is poor. I think it's very similar to Armani Code Sport (in my want list 'cause my Kenzo Sport is almost finished and I consider both them unisex). Does anyone else smell this similarity?

I like the minty opening,very refreshing. the drydown is somehow like BO. Very short longevity.maximum 2 hours. Stick to Kenzo classic.Do NOT get this.

This was a dissapointment. Did a blindbuy on this in hope it was something similiar to Armani Code sport after reading review and it was not close at all. To me (a not so experienced nose as you others) it just smelled to strong mint and wood. I did not like it very much.

A largely forgotten 2012 release by Francois Demachy, Kenzo Homme Sport is a ho-hum summer flanker that leans more "blue" than "fresh." 2.5/5

Well, I went to visit the homepage of Kenzo, and I noticed that the perfume Kenzo Homme Fresh is no longer mentioned. So, I presume that the Kenzo Homme Fresh was discontinued and in Its place will be put the Kenzo Homme Sport. There is a logic in this supposition, because both fragrances are for the summer. Besides, we are living in the "Age of Sports". More sports will arise. I have nothing against sports fragrances, and I hope that the KHS will be a pleasant surprise. Peace and Light to All!!!

The opening notes are a mix of Armani Code Sport & Issey Sport... Limey, Minty, with a hint of ginger After 30min, Kenzo Sport turns too gingery (mixed with mint). 30min later, the mint notes fade away, leaving only the ginger. I like ginger on Dior Sport (vintage and 2012) or Kenzo Tokyo, but Kenzo Sport has nothing but ginger and spices on the base. Don't buy this judging the initial notes.

A longevity-cutted version of Kenzo Homme Boisee and always reminds me of Terre d'Hermes . Too heavy to be a sport perfume. This does NOT last . Apply 1x will only get 3 hours on my skin at best, and won't last much longer even you increasing dosage to 2x or 3x. DO NOT BUY , no matter how cheap it is! Rating: 5.0/10.

I tried it on myself yesterday. It smelled like Vic Vaporub! Could by my skin chemistry but I mostly smelled mint and ginger, no lemon, which resulted in a “eucalyptus cream for sore muscles” sort of smell. Very unappealing at least on me.

It starts very nice. Fresh, cold-mint like perfume, but... The drydown is awful. Smells like cheap feet deodorant. Nothing to do with this crap, sorry guys.

Kenzo Sport goes on slightly sweet and minty, with a heavy oxide-like aroma carrying it. Brazen—you get a hint of the cedar from the start. It is a very monotone cedar essence. It strives to create a sense of masculinity with the warmth and abrasiveness that it adds. There is a synthetic constitute that doesn't exactly sit well with me. Possibly a virgin nose would find it more enjoyable, but my nose is very seasoned and it muddles the mint essence for me. It's almost like a gingery balsam, with the sharpness of an oxide. The fragrance dries down to a strong dominance of the monotone cedar, with the sharp oxide behind it, attempting to lift the warm abrasive qualities. They are a bit too heavy for it though, and I believe this is a boot technique, because I've experienced this exact same 'cedar' in Legendary Fragrances Treasure Island Lady. The style of this fragrance is very adolescent, and seems to be geared more towards people in their high school years. However, I don't find that the basey use of cedar here would appeal to younger individuals like that—but is force-projecting—and would moreso be the kind of thing that makes them feel uncomfortable. I do subtly enjoy the fragrance, but it's a bad sport, in the sense that it doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing anything sporty, attractive, or energetic.

I also think this is more like a flanker of Kenzo Boisee than Kenzo pour Homme. First I thought this to be a more weak Kenzo Boisee with a hint of citrus (the last main accord of the five listed above) among the top notes, but Sport is a stronger scent, is very long lasting and usually tires my nose quickly, although I receive more compliments with it than with Boisée. Also, is not herbal orientated as Boisée is. Anyway, my feeling with this Kenzo is that they aren't trying to create something really new, even as a sport scent, but just going with the wave of the majority. Some are better than others, but most of them still very average or unoriginal. Here they took Kenzo Boisee, recycled it to look like a sport scent, and voilà. P.S.: it could be worst, and they made it worst: Sport is still a better scent then Sport Extreme.

This one has no DNA of the regular Kenzo Homme and smells more lika a sporty version of Kenzo Homme Boisee. It starts like a lighter variation of Armani Code Sport: minty notes on a gingery lemony foundation. But soon the scent becomes more herbal reminding a bit of Burberry The Beat and especially the dry down of Bleu de Chanel (not the fruity opening, but the earthy dry down of Bleu!). The good point of the fragrance is the high quality of ingridients. The bad ones are average projection and worse longevity than Armani Code Sport, Dior Homme Sport and Bleu de Chanel have. Nevertheless it's a decent stuff in the range of sport fragrances.

First impression; this one reminds me of Givenchy Play Sport with citrusy sweet mint. It just lacks the floral accord that is in the Givenchy. Spices create something a bit vulgar and animalic like a body odor. It's not a good thing but luckily it is subtle (phew!). So far, I find this edition of Kenzo to be pretty good. It's nicely woody, average staying power, but it's not as chilly and cool as other sport frags. It's not even spicy either. It's just somewhat mellow. I am not totally in love with it tho because Givenchy Play Sport is still on the top of my list for 2012 sporty fragrance.

Mmmm this is a nice scent! It reminds me of something I smelled in my youth, even as a child perhaps. I wonder if it was a soap, something containing mint. This was my first sniff of Kenzo Sport and I'm interested to try it again sometime, properly (on skin) as I like the fact it's a bit different from what I was expecting. It doesn't seem all that strong but I find it such nice scent (and very masculine in my opinion), all the more surprising as so far at least I haven't found many minty scents that do it for me!

An instant, perfect hit, made by no other than Francois Demachy. The grapefruit and mint simply erupt giving way to an oven-baked cookie feel. Yes, this is my own take and it sure as hell tackles this accord. Extraordinarily well blended, I had a vague idea what this would smell like but I gotta say I was completely blown away by this formula. Lasts more than 5 hours so I can't see what the fuss is about, for this kind of frag it is the tops. Awesome!!

Nice fragnrace for the price,citrusy opening and later turn into something i don't know what..But it is nice scent,last about 5 hours on my shirt even after taht i can smell it but not strong...Sillage is not bad,some people can notice scent about 1-2m around and asking what is that smell... Longevity 7/10 Sillage 6/10 Scent 10/10

Been waiting to try this fragrance since it was first announced. Finally found it at a duty-free shop at JFK in New York last week. It's definitely Kenzo. I mean... it's almost like Kenzo Wood with the citrus turned way up. I like it... it just doesn't last very long.

I have a sample from this, I feel very sharp, fresh, mint/citrus and rude, real sport man scent, similar to an after shave or a mint foot spray smell, not bad but not something significant. After 2 hours becomes more sweet (lime) and woody.

This is nice for summer time, on a beach day, or just for hotter weathers. I would take sport fragrances and just play sports in them, that's just how I see them now. This one is a well done citrusy, spicy, green, fresh fragrance. Try it.

Completely agree with the last review, opening notes are original and fresh but the drydown is way too spicy and heavy IMHO. I bought it very excited last summer but got bored very fast and don't use it anymore.

I'm really feeling this Kenzo Sport sample. The Japanese fragrances are unlike many of the mainstream stuff out here. This is a definite holiday buy for me.

Wait and try...Demachy made amazing fragrances, and KHS can't be a bad scent
