L'Eau 2 Kenzo pour Homme

2011 vintage bottle - 2N01 The opening is bright and citrusy, very clean and energetic, but what really defines this fragrance is the ginger and vetiver. As it settles, the ginger becomes more and more prominent — sharp, slightly spicy, vibrant — and it stays that way for hours. The vetiver underneath gives it structure and dryness, making the whole composition feel aromatic and elegant rather than sweet. There’s no marine or aquatic vibe here for me. It’s more about aromatic freshness — ginger, citrus brightness, and a smooth woody base. It actually reminds me of the newer Prada Gingembre in terms of quality and that crisp ginger character, which is a compliment. For a fresh fragrance, it performs very well. On my skin it is long lasting, especially for something built around citrus and aromatics. It carries easily through warm spring days and summer heat without becoming heavy. Very much Kenzo DNA airy, refined, but with personality. I like it.

Love this. At first, it smells very uplifting. Sure, not that kind of mind-blower scent, but it’s just so nice. Fresh, airy, a bit spicy, and at the same time also a bit woody-dense. Then it develops into a bit fouegery as the lavender pops out, but still airy fruity fresh. It projects pretty well in first 45-60 hours. Longevity is about 4-5 hours with last notes in the dry down is clean woody. Definitely more for hot climate, but it has that woody-dense that makes it also good for cool night summer I think. Very underrated. 8/10.

I have 10 Kenzo bottles at this moment, did a blind test and rated this nr 3. The OG L'eau on nr1. It is a fun addition to Leau1, pretty much the same, just more spice and warm. As the color suggest. Been using this for 10 years, I get lots of compliments on this. More a summer vibe, but I use it all year. Definitly a good mix of citrus fresh, masculine woody, and fun spicy. And it's more fresh spicy than woody on my nose. Very unisex, very versatile.

I got this one last time I went to Portugal in the summer, was a blind buy. The only flaw is that it doesn't last long enough, but have the most natural Grapefruit scent that I ever scent. Really good one, so crispy and sour, the bitter orange just balance the grapefruit and the ginger flower adds more fresh, in the dry down I fell the citruses and the Vetiver and Fir blending. Really a good scent !

So I was looking for a dumb-reach "Eau de Eau" (as in, very lightly scented water) to wear when I don't feel like wearing anything, and I'm glad to report that this fits the bill just fine. For the 28€ I paid, I'm super satisfied. Edit: Upgrading this to a Love. It really is super nice and fresh. I'm already down to 1/3 of the bottle. Gonna get me 2 backups while they're still available.

I saw it last week in the store. I just love it! the formula has definitely changed comparing to the last version. it's even more beautiful than my beloved Ice edition. it's so mouthwatering, so juicy, so wanted and so fresh (not like "fresh fragrances as citrucy") as a bite of fresh fruites with berries. it's like a warm sunny day after cold and grey winter. love it.

To me, this perfume is an ideal fragrance for men! It is fresh, but still sexual and attractive. I can feel it from 1000 fragrances and will still love it. Of course it is worn better in summer, but I'd love to feel it on my man all year long. Sillage is soft-moderate, mostly with the citrucy notes. I love it. Best masculine fragrance ever.

Take a whiff at montblanc legend special edition 2012, the blue bottle. It smell exactly the same! I agree with the longevity, it doesn't last long. Fresh burst of tangerine at the start then it transform into something light then disappear into the air.

A ginger-cedar bomb with ample citrus over top. By far one of the best fresh scents I've ever smelled, I immediately loved it. The cool-uncool-cool-again frutiger aero-inspired bottle is as awesome as the juice. My first Kenzo frag and I'm very pleased.

I can definitely smell myrtle right on the top. Somehow no one writes about it.

L'Eau 2 Kenzo Pour Homme is another one of those cases of colognes that do not appear on the radar of the most demanding noses and the reason is totally unknown. Perhaps it is the bad reputation that all the perfumes of the brand are "watered down" or "too fresh", because of the L'Eau Par Kenzo collection and its numerous flankers. However, it is worth remembering that the brand has great fragrances such as Kenzo Homme and Flower by Kenzo, which do not fit into these categories. L'Eau 2 Kenzo Pour Homme was released in 2012 along with the female version as variations of the classics of 1999 and 1996, respectively. The perfumer was Sonia Constant, who has already signed creations for Fragonard, Guerlain, Montblanc, among other mass-market brands as well as niche brands. The official composition cites notes of grapefruit, bitter orange and ginger (head), followed by lavender and juniper (body), on a base of cedar and vetiver (bottom). The fragrance of L'Eau 2 Kenzo Pour Homme is citric and slightly woody, bringing the refreshing and typical style of other fragrances that carry the name Sport on their bottles. The bitter orange and the ginger dominate and catch the eye of anyone around. There is a latent vitality, which is always highly appreciated in male fragrances, especially for hot places, as is the case of my country (Brazil). The evolution is minimal, at least on my skin. The fragrance behaves linearly, with little emphasis on the central part of the olfactory pyramid. As expected, there is a very good early blast, but it lasts for a short time, since the volatility of the initial notes is high. Still, L'Eau 2 Kenzo Pour Homme lasts in a medium way and delivers what is expected. A friend’s advice: it's worth keeping an eye on it, for it may surprise you.

The combination of the tart and bitterness of grapefruit and bitter orange renders this scent really interesting to me, since most acquatic/citrus summer scents tend to be "cold", not bitter. Nice and sort of unique summer fresh perfume, clean, refreshing, yet not "cold". Drydown is not so interesting, but respectable. I do like the moment when vetiver kicks in and mixes with the remaining ginger. I have to admit that i do find remarkable that the grapefruit-bitter orange tandem does las an unusually long time for being top notes, at least 2 hours. The one thing that is regretable is longevity, it wont last more than 4 hours.

Extremely inoffensive, super-safe fragrance that punches way above its price point. I don't get to wear it much, but I suspect that's less to do with the fragrance itself and more to do with my own tendency to buy lots and wear few fragrances. Despite being borderline anonymous, it does have some character, but it seems to be well disguised by the citrus/grapefruit combo. Buy it if you find it. Should be even cheaper since its sad discontinuation.

I agree with review below about similarity with Lacoste, but only the first 3 minutes. After that the scent going into different path. I like it. Actually this is nice smell but I expect more from the house of Kenzo and being L'eau 2, this should be ground breaking like the first, but it isn't. Like other fresh scent I can see longevity and projection soft to moderate. Like it but it doesn't tempt me to buy a bottle..

Nice bright citrucy opening, very short lived though, followed by a woody a bit smoky juniper phase. After no more than three hours, it has almost disappeared, leaving a soft close-to-skin smell. 7/10 (could be 8 if it lasted longer) Great for spring/summer

I tested today. Very fresh and citrus like Dior Sport. Opening grapefruit is nice. But longevity and projection is very poor like all summer fragrances by Kenzo. More better buy Dior Sport.

Kind of similar to Versace Pour Homme. As in very fresh and likable. Unfortunately it doesn't last long at all so good for the gym etc. Smells amazing nonetheless.

So, I have tested it... It smells nice no doubt. And it smells so ordinary, like 100 other fresh scents which you can't decide if they are male or female, but rather unisex. Really, I can't see what's "masculine" in this fragrance. A lot of fresh and sunny citrus fruit, invigorating and refreshing, that's all. No character, I would not be able to identify it on a paper strip. I'm afraid this will never replace the original L'eau par Kenzo. After KenzoAir, Tokyo, KenzoPower this is probably the next release from Kenzo which won't stay for long on the market :( Have your realized that only Kenzo PH and L'eau par Kenzo sells well? The other releases are flops.

L'Eau 2 Kenzo is a fresh citrusy, summer scent for men. At the beginning I get fresh lemon for a few seconds and after that the bitter grapefruit. In a minute appear the other notes. The longevity is moderate, about 4-5 hours and the sillage is also moderate. The most distinguished notes I get are grapefruit, juniper berries, bitter orange and ginger. Generally is a versatile summer scent, a good and safe choise but nothing special. A nice moderate summer masculine scent!

I sprayed this one on my wrist and first time I didn't like it as it was too smoky, but after a while I felt like it attracts me somehow as it dried down. The scent is very masculine and doesn't have anything in common with original L'eau Par from Kenzo, but though it's not that good as the original one, it's way interesting too. And - it lasts for a long time, till the next day even after having a shower.
