L'Eau par Kenzo Electric Wave pour Homme

I am a huge fan of the house of Kenzo and bought this online in 2020 for a good price having smelled it in duty free previously when it was first released. I love the bottle too. The smell is very interesting. A crisp yuzu/grapefruit/apple that goes to a woody dry down, the apple is very crisp and sharp. It kind of IS 'electric', and yet I am still not sure it beats the orignal L'Eau Par which I love. I see this is very rare now and I have used half my bottle which causes me conflict between being a collector and someone who enjoys using fragrances to wear them. If this was still in production the fact is I would probably not buy it again. REALLY nice, but not a classic for me. These flankers are released as if to be used in the heady summer of their relase year and then forgotten. Had I spent that summer of 2016 in endless Ibiza pool parties (I wish) I'd have blazed through this. Ah well...fragrance is a fantasy...fun at the time...and then often gone until another one comes along. UPDATE: As my bottle wears down to the bottom, I must say the drydown is kind of odd...almost like the opening apple accords have gone brown and sour. The mix of citrus and woods creates an odd smell. Not awful but...a bit strange. So in conculsion: Beautiful opening, odd drydown. 7/10.

Smells different. Warm and nice. Need to check in spring or summer. During cold wintertime it's not interesting at all.

I love the bottle and the packaging image. I'm going to buy this as soon as is out.

This is not L'eau par Kenzo, this is L'eau Kenzo.
