L'Eau Pure

L'Eau Pure Kenzo is a citrus, aquatic, and aromatic fragrance. Its opening is citrusy and very aquatic, with that Aquozone accord combined with citron and other citrus fruits that reminds me of fragrances from the mid-2000s. A musky note is also noticeably present from the beginning. The development of this fragrance is almost linear, starting very citrusy and aquatic and gradually adding floral notes until reaching the dry-down phase where musk and a woody accord are perceived. It's quite pleasant and fresh. Pure Kenzo is wearable on very hot days from spring to summer, primarily for daytime use, as it provides a dose of freshness and an energetic feeling that makes it a pleasure to wear. It's best suited for casual, everyday wear, at school, and at the office. For a fresh fragrance, its longevity has been very impressive on me, lasting more than 8 hours, with a noticeable sillage in the first few hours. In short, I want to emphasize that this fragrance doesn't follow current trends, but rather nods to the fresh, fruity, and aquatic fragrances of the mid-2000s. For that reason, I'm not sure how it will be received. Personally, I really liked it, and it also has good performance. It can be shared because the scent is unisex, so I think I could buy it and share it.

Almost a carbon copy of "CK2" from Calvin Klein. There are a few very minor differenses though. "CK2" has more blue watery freshness whereas "L,eau Pure" is a bit greener turning cucumbery later. The minerality (wet stone) of "CK2" lingers longer, whereas "L,eau Pure" turns softer and soapy clean but in a funny way. I kept looking for fresh coconut to be a note but no, it is not. Nonetheless, there is a tender soft coconut scent (maybe white musk and sandelwood). I find that note as well in the Body shops now discontinued "Italian summer fig". I am wearing both scents right now, and there is not much to tell them apart. However "CK2" dries out to a dry mineral note, "L,eau Pure" turns soft coconut. It has a few family traits with "Noa" from Cacherel, It is in the same vein of soft, clean and non sugary.

****** I slid through Jc Pennys to pick up the new eternity Amber essence and they had this kezo on display , threw about 5-6 good sprays on my forearm about an hour ago, & I’ll just say the first 30 minutes was divisive and kinda difficult to navigate what exactly I was dealing with, but now that it’s been about an hour on my skin, I’mma bout ready to run back and get a bottle. Very clean fresh and 100% a solid summer frag if you can get past the first 30 minutes or so. Well done kenzo. At first it reminded me of este lauder pleasures for men, I still feel the same way in that regard, however this is a much more modern take on that scent profile without the oak moss Happy sniffi’N THE END.

Really beautiful fragrance, mineral and fresh, like a sunny day by a clear rockpool that is regularly refreshed by the incoming tide. I know this fragrance profile (ozonic aquatic) is out of fashion but I could care less - this is a lovely thing, best new designer perfume I have come across in a long while. I have already ordered a second bottle as I am powering through the first (a small one, only a 30ml) and my husband is eyeing it jealously. EDIT: I have been layering this with Etat Libre d'Orange 'You or Someone Like You' and the mint blends beautifully with the water notes. It smells like springtime in my house!

Kenzo is great at creating "harmless" fragrances for the smarter population that does not want to stand out in a vulgar way. L'eau Pure is fresh and clean - it leaves a delicate trail and it's pleasant to wear. To me it smells of some Guerlain Aqua Allegoria or Hermes Jardins. I love it!

This is a great aquatic summer fragrance. Kenzo know what they are doing with their warm weather fragrances. Aquozone, lemon, mandarin & sandalwood is the most prominent notes for me. A lovely blend! Also a great performer on my skin 👍

It's really close to the long discontinued CK2 , but better overall. Ozonic, Calone, touch of musk and woods to round everything and give it a sensual vibe. Nice one

Fantastic fresh water scent. It resembles a lot the discontinued CK2 but with less sharp calone. Really good!

Smells like some sea flavored laundry detergent, in a good way.

I really enjoy this. It's a clean, uncomplicated sea breeze scented soapy scent. The citruses are present but subtle, with the Aquazone being the main note you'd smell. Aquazone to my nose smells like soapy sea water with a very slight Aldehydic touch and something similar to Petrichor but for when water its aluminum (Specific i know!). I would have liked the Lavender to be a bit more pronounced, but it's there just enough to give a comforting floral dry down. The dry down after a few hours is slightly creamy for some reason. Longevity is very good for the scent profile. I can reliably get a good 6 hours out of the scent, pushing up to 7 or 8 if I'm sedentary. It sits very nicely between someone more typically "feminine" like Light Blue and something a bit more "masculine" like Dylan Blue to create a generally pleasing experience. I also find that it fits "smart casual" pretty nicely given a nice white shirt or easy going pattern (I have a lovely coral pattern than goes with this) and just generally feels nice to wear any time I feel up to it. Estee Lauder's Modern Muse and this scent are historically the only scents I've bought others have asked to buy themselves. This is definitely nothing exceptional or revolutionary, but it remains a scent anyone who likes clean scents will probably enjoy. My only issue with the scent is that it can feel a little lifeless, so any advice for layering combos to spice it up would be very appreciated.

This is funny how hormones can change someone’s appeal to a particular scent. I smelled this 2 months ago and i couldn’t be more unimpressed as i thought it smelled fresh but generic then i smelled it again today and guess what? I just bought it. Moral of the story: always try a second time you might be missing out. L’eau pure by Kenzo smells insanely fresh, clean and classy, the longevity lasts better on clothes and the projectivity is moderate. It’s not the type of scent that attracts compliments or that is noticeable but it’s pleasant and inoffensive to wear and to smell, just what you need for regular outdoor activities in hot weather/summer. It’s also definitely a unisex fragrance.

Divine opening! Fresh, clean, realistic water, slightly citrusy & woody (completely unisex). In the mid, that clean aquozone tones down to reveal more of the lavender & woods (starting to lean feminine). Finally, the dry down is musk & wood forward, lavender still present but citrus way in the back (at this time tho, the fragrance swings def more fem). Projection is very good but longevity is really super impressive. Depite leaning slightly too fem for me, I really enjoy this one thanks to its very unique clean water note in the beginning. It also has a very calming effect.

My experience with fresh aquatics is limited, so I thought this may be a good place to start. L’Eau Pure is refreshing without evoking shower gel or laundry. Soft-focus mandarin balances a nose-tickling mineral core. Without the astringency of CK One or floralcy of L’Eau D’Issey Pour Homme, this fragrance has a satisfying plasticky cohesion. Like a geodesic dome filled with rare flora and recirculated mist, there’s a hopeful (anachronistic) futurism to L’Eau Pure. Unassuming yet sort of moving.

Very pleasant, citrusy, fresh with mineral notes. I find it wearable year-round, but it must be magnificent in the summer. It reminds me of the smell of laundry detergent... when clothes are drying in the machine and a soft fragrance is released. On my skin, however, it doesn't last very long, which is the only slight drawback.

The bottle is stunning. The scent is very good. The type of aquatic I like, not too woody. It smells like water. I don’t think of water as even having a smell, until I sampled this. The goal is achieved. I've never been to Japanese Onsen but I can imagine it when I smell L'eau Pure. It's watery but warm.

I was expecting more from the ginger opening, but it leaned towards a yuzu citrus scent with ozonic notes. I tried to find the lavender, but it’s a very lowkey scent. It dries a but flat for me even though it’s fresh and clean. Projection is a little underwhelming, but it’s definitely long-lasting.

Imagine you're at the aquarium, looking at jellyfish through pristine glass while lo-fi music is playing through the speakers. You don't know it yet, but everything is going to be alright.

I really like this. It smells like something I would've worn in the 90s. Unfortunately I couldnt even smell a trace of it 15 mins later.

For those who are looking for a dupe for CK2 from Calvin Klein, it is not even close... I had high hopes but after testing it, it is just not doing the same... but overall it is a nice fresh fragrance, 100% unisex, in the opening it gives the vibes of some lemon scented cleaning products.. but after 15 min it is a nice freshie, not buying the full size tho.

A fresh, salty blue aquatic tailor-made for summer heat. Opens with a crisp, sparkling marine hit before settling into light, easygoing white florals. Clean and effortless, though lacks the dark or weird edge needed to stand out.

when it warms up on the skin it's better and reminds me a little of Drop D'Issey. but at first very strong window cleaner vibes

Aquatic citrus and cheap, sweet lavender, maybe a bit of neroli. Heavy handed, loud and clunky, especially for something called "L'eau Pure". It has good performance but I seriously wouldn't want to smell like this in the first place.

the lavender did it in for me. a no. BUT the one thing it DOES have going is longevity. i damn near had to use steel wool to get this shizz off of me.

That's an interesting twist. Kenzo normally focuses a big chunk of its perfumes around the idea of "aquatics". L'eau Pure per nomenclature is an aquatic perfume as well. Without a single marine accord or note. The perfumer directed it to the aldehydic freshness. It's an ode to crispy laundry sundried on a chill day. Now, I am even more curious to try Ms. Bugey's L'Artisan Perfumer awarded perfume because it seems "aqua fresh" area is her expertise. The fragrance itself opens with loads of bright citruses and as many noted - some kind of detergent. It's not too pungent and does not develop much rather than gets softer over the time. The overall longevity - 3-4 hours, which is not bad for this perfume genre. I did not focus on silage much. The best thing in this perfume for me is the feeling of prolonged "hug-you" laundry freshness and the pyramid component trick. One of the best designer releases this year even though I am not a big appreciator of the "aquatic fragrance family".

This is decent, but it's nothing to go out of your way to try in my opinion. It's fresh and oznic but it's kind of flat and doesn't really change much. This is unisex but I would say that this reads as somewhat feminine, but only because of the other fragrances that it's reminiscent of. This reminds me of those late nineties and early 2000's female perfumes with the super fresh melon and ozonic notes...I can't remember any of the names off the top of my head. Like those scents, though, it's ever so slightly headache inducing and nauseating, just barely, but if you're sensitive to that then you may not like this. I like that Kenzo is going for an unabashed freshie but I think they've missed the mark with this one. I just can't imagine who this is for in 2025. Again, it's not a bad scent, it's just unexciting and I'd rather be wearing something else. I'd give it 5 out of 10.

I just got my Kenzo L’Eau Kenzo Pure, and I have to say—it instantly reminded me of A Drop d’Issey Eau Fraîche. They share a similar vibe: clean, fresh, and watery, with that calming, almost zen-like softness you’d expect from both brands. But Kenzo has its own unique presence too. Kenzo L’Eau Pure opens with a refreshing wave of watery citrus and light floral notes. It feels incredibly airy—like mist over a still lake on a summer morning. You’ll notice soft florals like lotus and peony, mingled with hints of green tea or mint, depending on your nose. The drydown settles into a very light musky base, keeping it clean and skin-like. It’s very much in the same family as A Drop d’Issey Eau Fraîche, but while Issey has a slightly sweeter, creamy almond twist, Kenzo keeps it crisper and more minimalist.

This is fresh. Purchased a bottle at El Corte Inglés in Barcelona and have to say this is definitely different from anything Kenzo has put out. It’s a fresh aquatic that smells very similar to scent like Hugo Now. The aquozone molecule is very distinctive in that it runs through the life of the fragrance. As it dries you can smell the lavender and sandalwood but the whole composition is very shampoo, brisk and summery. I like it . It’s not unique but it definitely is great for the warm weather. Some will say it’s too pedestrian considering the Bisch creations for the brand.. but I think it’s perfect for the summer and will definitely be a super seller. Especially abroad. The sandalwood in this is not pickle centric or even that noticeable. This is a keeper. Leans a little feminine.

Pure freshness, a bright aquatic citrus splash. It’s in the same family as D&G Light Blue, Moschino I Love Love, or Divine Paradise, the drops by Issey Miyake: easy, refreshing scents made for summer heat. A little sweetness comes through, then it settles into a musky dry down. I really enjoy the aquazone note here. I like when synthetics are used well, as is in this case. The fragrance itself is simple, but that’s kind of the point - it does the job of cooling and refreshing you. The bottle is beautiful too: baby blue, crystalline, soft and rounded, it matches the scent perfectly.

At first I hated it, but the more I was around it, it grew on me. It's very clean in a laundry dryer sheet type way lol. To me it is perfectly unisex, I have equal amounts of men and women buy it. Might have to grab one myself. I think it could be a nice fall scent. It's heavy on the lavender and musk, I get the lemon too. Very long lasting too for the notes it has.

Nothing Special. The notes left to be desired, citrics, musk and a boring lavender. And i am fan of lavender scents. Unisex or Youngies scents are my type, but i think it has very few notes diluted in musk.

I find this to be quite strong for a "l'eau" fragrance. Definitely more feminine than masculine, with a strong lavender-lotus-peony presence, like the review below rightfully acknowledged. Sadly not for me

Nice clean very linear scent. I can't smell and sandalwood in the base but the citruses and florals are nicely done. I would say this one leans feminine. A guy could wear it but it's very very soft.

Fresh and aquatic, very safe. The sweetness is almost undetectable. This is a good scent for people who don’t like perfume. It’s soft and calm, like kids’ soap.

Super pleasant, but it disappears so quickly - I tested it today and it was completely gone within 1.5 hours. It’s a lovely freshie, subtle and intimate.
