Soleil Thé

extremely nostalgic. smells like a beach day as a child, like sand and suncream.

I had half an hour to sample the whole line represented and though several new Kenzo Memori started promising, the best drydown on blotter belonged to this one. Hence - the bottle. Definetely soleil - whatever we usually mean by it - light, airy, slightly mineral, but not salty. Soft and ligtly creamy it feels suitable for a skin care line. Reminiscent of Sunflowers by E. Arden and Memories by Gucci. I found longevity and sillage not very prominent yet and pair it with Eau de Soleil Blanc by TF, now the combo is longlasting and nice. Cold skin, cold weather test

It smells like s sophisticated day in beach. It has that "sunny" or "solar cream" smell, bit in a very faint or delicate way. The tea note is not as strong as it is on other tea perfumes. It blends so well with the iris. There is no frangipani listed, but that is the vive of this perfume. Definetively "Soleil" is a good name for it. So bright in a peaceful way. Projection and sillage are quite weak, still, it is very unique and beautiful.

A lovely iris powdery fragrance. It has a slight make-upy feel (as is often the case with iris fragrances), but it's not too vintage; it's the green tea that gives it a lovely Asian twist. I didn't understand the choice of its name ("Soleil The" which means Sun-Tea) until I realized that it leaves behind a pleasant solar trail - which is surprising without the presence of tiare/coconut/monoi/ylang/jasmine! 8.5/10

this is a warmer version of diptyque's ilio! if that is your signature scent (as it is mine!), this is a very safe buy for sure. this one has a slightly sharper quality due to the ginseng note, but i think it acts similarly to the bergamot note in ilio. similar names relating to the sun; this one is very pretty but ilio still remains my number 1! i'll definitely be keeping this one around though :)
