La Fede White Forest Strawberry

Truthfully this smelt like a less soapy Khair Pistachio when I first got it, but I had hopes the strawberry will come out some more. I did like testing Khair Pistachio but wished it was less soapy and fresh so voila, I was happy with this anyway. I've now had it for over 2 months. It does have some more layers than Khair Pistachio to it such as a really wonderful birthday cake accord which really shines especially hours into the drydown, as well as white chocolate but the strawberry itself is a stretch still. If anything I would say there is a little greenness to it which I may acquiesce as to the leafy parts of the fruit. But when we say strawberry we are talking about the juicy red fruit. Its a strong like because of the birthday cake scent which is definitely pretty and layers well to bring an extra cakeyness to my perfumes but this is not strawberry as I would like, so its a bit disappointing and not a love. It literally just needed a drop of strawberry to be a love, Khadlaj if you're listening can this be reformulated into a hit like you did to Empire Victor! I do absolutely love its sister Brown Choco, that one is top 3 gourmand perfume for me.

Ridiculously gorgeous. I’m not getting the pistachio note others seem to smell, or a cake note. If anything, the unlisted note I smell is my beloved moss. This is not a gourmand to my nose. The amber is also very light so I’m guessing the amber accord isn’t labdanum based, maybe patchouli or moss. The vanilla is fresh and not overly sweet, more like a vanilla orchid rather than the bean. And the star for me here is the intertwined jasmine and strawberry. This is what wild strawberries still attached to their plant smell like when they’re sitting in the warm summer sun. Beautifully understated, sophisticated and special, unlike anything else in my collection. Can’t wait to see how it develops over the coming months. Big shout out to all perfumes packaged in opaque bottles! Love the matte feel of the bottle, too. It conveys the softness within. I think this is unisex with a slight lean to the feminine. And finally, this dna reminds me of Mind Games - hope that’s helpful since this doesn’t seem to be a dupe of anything and smells nothing like Her or YPG.

I just got this in the mail today, so this is a first impression. Based on the notes and description that it’s a gourmand, I was expecting this to be kinda of a strong and thick scent. However it turned out to be light and airy. My daughter remarked that she smelled strawberries when I first sprayed this on, so I guess the berry notes are there in the top. In the middle I can smell something really really familiar and at first I couldn’t put my finger on it. Then I remembered an Escada perfume that I had in a heart shaped bottle, which had blueberries, jasmine and macaron notes in it. I assumed the jasmine and vanilla gave off a similar vibe. In the drydown I smell almonds and hint of cherry. I know these 2 notes have the same chemical composition. Then it suddenly dawned on me why this is so familiar. L’Occitane Ultra Rich body wash. To some degree, the Shea butter hand cream. Same scent. To my nose, at least. So if you like that shea, almondy, with a faint fruity, cherry scent, you will like this. 🍒

Finally!! I’ve been waiting for Fragrantica to list this one. I’ve had it since it came out and it’s SO GOOD 😍😍 If you love gourmands with strawberry and kind of almondy (it’s not listed but I smell almond or hazelnut) and so different from whatever is out there, you will love it! I’m crazy about any scent with strawberry in it and this one is a strawberry dessert for sure 🍓🍓🍓🍰🍰 And the bottle is so cute 🥰 Also it’s “chocolate friend” Brown Choco that came out at the same time is so good as well! Both of them need a bit of maceration though, so you can smell the full thing. Totally worth the wait 💕💕🍓🍓🍰

Side note, I just learned there’s a white strawberry (which is a hybrid of Japanese white strawberries and Florida strawberries) called... Pineberry. A literal application of that name is not exactly perfect for a perfume like this one as I’m sure that could be interpreted like juniper berries or maybe green, closed pinecones. So if you switch pineberry to white forest strawberry it feels a lot like it’s conveying the same ideas, at least to me. White Forest Strawberry has gone up in my estimation of it in the following month. Now it is a so much more creamy and almost milky jasmine, the cake facet is immensely well blended and there is a hint of berry. I no longer get as much greenness and Pistachio as before. I really love this scent, although it took a long while to get here! I have to say Khadlaj is the king of creamy notes, their perfumes are so exquisitely creamy, I would love a full on milk perfume offering from them.

Perfect timing, I got this perfume just last week. Right off the bat, it reminds me of nutty fragrances like Lattafa Affection or Luscious. It's not a candy-like strawberry scent. It's still gorgeous though, and I have great hopes for a post-maceration sniff. The bottle and box are nice and minimalist, which is a every refreshing change in the realm of over the top middle Eastern design. Overall this is a fantastic perfume, and I'm glad I bought it. Khadlaj never disappoints!

This was a sweet creamy strawberry with a nice amber and some woods. This stayed on my skin FOREVER. It didn't trail after a bit but definitely lasted as a skin scent from the morning until I fell asleep at night.

This was my first dive into the world of gourmand fragrances I became truly obsessed. I know there are more popular fragrances along this scent profile but I truly adore this scent and it lasts all day.

A fruity floral twist on the Affection DNA- I love it!

White Forest Strawberry by Khadlaj Perfumes offers a soft, creamy take on fruity-floral perfume, but it’s not quite the white forest cake fantasy the name suggests. The opening is a gentle burst of strawberry and blackberry (more floral than sugary) with a creamy undertone that feels cool and milky, likely thanks to the sandalwood, vanilla, and jasmine. Instead of a rich gourmand, the scent evolves into something more atmospheric, like walking through an Indian forest after rain. If you're expecting a decadent gourmand or strong cake-like strawberry, this might not deliver. But if you enjoy creamy florals with a fleeting fruity top and a smooth, sandalwood-rich base, White Forest Strawberry is a lovely, easy-to-wear scent that offers calm, understated beauty.

Okay...I have had this for a few months now, well since it launched. It was just like Yum Pistachio to me. I was like...where’s the berry notes. Fast forward months later, I am getting rose /vanilla note mostly...no nut scent now. It is evolving nicely. The strawberry is slight and I get the amber in the dry down. I’m sure there will be another evolution in a month or so. I am glad that I kept it!

This is pistachio not strawberry. I go back to it every few months but it's still pistachio. Seems to me they either playing a joke on us or put the wrong juice in the bottle or deliberately named it strawberry just to sell it. Ammm, like we need more pistachio.😫 So it's quite a nice pistachio scent but it's definitely not a strawberry scent like one would expect from the name 😐.

It is difficult to describe it, but for me no strawberry. Not to mention even more delicate forest strawberry. I smell mostly hot caramel, rose and jasmine. It is not bad but definitely something else I expected.

I like it. Its so light and very easy to wear. Sweet, airy and fresh. Unfortunately it doesn't last on my skin. Even on clothes, it just disappears after a few minutes.

[EDIT: 25 Dec 2025 - After letting the tester sit for a bit] - it gives me „clean” type of scent, like an artificial white chocolate with dried strawberry pieces but cleaning product. Jasmine seems a bit cheap and chemical in it. It did get slightly stronger, but it’s definitely more intimate scent. I’d say it’s good if you like clean, neutral scents to wear when you’re not in a mood for anything specific.] I was confused with the opening because it was indeed sweet but not in a gourmand way I was hoping for..? I sprayed my arm, for my nose the opening is very green. After around 20 minutes the creaminess started to pop up, but it’s very delicate. Close to the skin I can mostly smell jasmine, but from far away slight berry smell mixed with vanilla projects delicately. For me personally, it gives a non-gourmand white chocolate with a hint of fruit. Kinda like a white chocolate soap. On drydown I smell also a teeny tiny bit of a wafflecone, but it might be the vanilla coming out from behind the jasmine. It’s simple, elegant, not aggressive at all, would be good for an everyday wear. Luckily it doesn’t have the plastic’y smell in it which makes me happy. I will wait some time to smell it once it maturates a bit. I got myself 5ml for testing and for now I’m not eager to buy a full bottle since I prefer more photorealistic/„edible” gourmands. I wouldn’t consider it an easy blind buy despite the low price, if possible just smell it before you get it. We’ll see how long it will last, I will update this review later, but I expect it to have a low/moderate sillage and moderate longevity from what it smells like right now.

Honestly? I get no strawberry from this. It is also not super strong? To smell it I have to be right at the place I sprayed it, it sits super close to the skin with very little projection. I’m a little disappointed, with how high the rating was on here and the description of it, I was expecting a lovely strawberry when there is none. The notes I get immediately have a soapiness to them, a slightly sweet and indistinct floral with vanilla and sandalwood. Nothing strawberry. In the drydown I found it completely loses the sweetness and becomes entirely a musky almost male scent. It smells very similar to my boyfriend’s cologne with a hint of florals. I could see a more older and mature woman wearing this? Maybe in the office? Regardless, it is definitely not something I will be wearing frequently. If you are into that more musky, natural floral scents with a hint of powder, then you might like it! If you are looking for your perfect strawberry scent, then this is not the one for you.

Had this a couple of months. I cant believe theres no pistachio listed in this. It smells like Paris corner khair pistachio with a hint of strawberry. But I wanted to smell the strawberry, the jasmine and vanilla a bit more, I do get a hit of vanilla though. Nice enough and I get about 3 hours on clothing. Another one for the cooler months but thats just me.

Too powdery. Update four months later: became less powdery and now resembles melted strawberry ice cream with a touch of roses.
