Nafais Sharq

This is the first of floral-fruit perfumes I dare to call seductive, for it courts the senses without haste or guile. Its contrasts — like lovers’ eyes meeting in shadow and light — are deliberate, masterful, impossible to resist. When first I wore it, I could not part from its spell. “Nafais Sharq” paints visions rare as dreams of Hesperides: fruits heavy with promise, kissed by the sun’s delicate fingers; jewelled birds flitting from branch to branch, too enchanted to choose; clouds of whipped cream adrift above, admiring earth’s own paradise. Beneath, milky streams glide and nourish, feeding the trees whose bounty glows with living gold. This scent knows no season — she suits day or night, winter or spring — yet tread wisely, my friend, when you wear her among strangers or lovers. She answers to the heat of both sun and heart alike. Handle her power gently, lest her flame consume you in the sweetness of your own delight.

I wish to put my two pennies’ worth of observation based on reviews: the negative ones seem to fall into 3 categories: 1. People who bought the perfume because of the influencers hype; 2. Those who bought it because they read that it was a dupe of a more expensive trending fragrance; 3. People who know they do not like/tolerate certain notes, but still bought it. In all 3 cases my questions - Why? And I say this with utmost respect and appreciation of everyone who gives their opinions and impressions as this is what makes the Fragrantica experience so amazing and so helpful. However, - 1. In case of influencer hype - we all know that at least 50% of them are paid by the product makers, so why blindly follow them? Even when they are not paid, - they are same people like the rest of us with their own views, preferences and perceptions when it comes to scents, tastes and associations. Are we not worldly enough already to know better? 2. In case of those chasing after dupes - no dupe is ever 100% identical. They cannot do it by law, or they will get sued from here and until the cows come home. Unless at least 10% or 15% of the formula is different - the makers have no chance to safely trade their product internationally. So they will NEVER roll out the exact copy even if they could. Additionally, once again, everyone's perception of what the OG and the dupe smell like is highly personal. You will always run a risk buying ANY perfume based on some one else's opinion/advice. 3. And the best for last - when you know you do not like or tolerate certain notes - why on earth do you still go and buy the fragrance? Is it some kind of self‐flagellation or hoping that the note that you never liked just might feel different this time around? There is no wrong in trying, but then, one ought to be honest about about it and rather than blaming the fragrance for underperformance, making one nauseous or developing a headache, - just say it as it is, - I gave it a go, in spite of my previous experiences and yes, this note(s) still doesn't sit well with me. This perfume is exactly what you think, a creamy smooth vanillic gardenia with fresia. At first spray you get a fruity juicy apricot vanilla gardenia like actual white flower gardenia fresh but floral, then the apricot brings in this sweet juicy note and the vanilla kinda blends those two together, as it dries down you get the woody notes not in a sharp way at all more like a soft sweet woody to balance the floral and sweetness/fruityness from the apricot tree blossoms (think the flowers the apricot tree gives off) as it drys down you get that vanilla bourbon and amber forsure, I dont get a musk scent but the woody notes and vanilla bourbon mesh so well while still having that creamy gardenia note through out. Not in a harsh way, more like when the breeze goes through a gardenia plant that is blooming. That warm floral smell which I personally LOVE. After its dried down completely you get more of a baby powder silliage when you move around not a strong baby powder but faint where your like oh yeah thats my perfume im smelling. Still with that apricot sligh creamy gardenia vanilla with it. This definitely smells like an expensive perfume you would smell in a department store but in a good way not obnoxious. I was skeptical but I am so glad I got it, I love gardenia and this creamy take on it is so professional and thought out.

I reviewed lots of social media about Khadlaj "Nafais Sharq" and decided to add it to a recent small haul of Middle Eastern fragrances. Wow! Now THIS stuff is a total surprise. I adore the fragrance! Nafais Sharq is 99% what I remember about Baciami. Nafais Sharq opens with a mixture of apricot and pear nectar that quickly blends with a punchy freesia note. I am completely adverse to any fragrance with bright, sparkling citrus notes because I'm not a freshie person. But pear and apricot are different fruit notes...stone fruit and pome fruit. Nafais Sharq develops into a smooth, silky, creamy, gentle floral gardenia fragrance with a bit of fruit pulp and woodiness adding depth. Perfect measure of musk is notable in the dry-down. And the amber-musk-vanilla backbone grounds the fragrance and prevents it from developing into a cloying, fruity-floral, gourmand-ish mess. The DRY-DOWN is to die for. I get GORGOEUS wafts of slightly sweet, fleshy, pulpy, creamy gardenia for quite some time. Just buy this. It is lovely! EDITED: I adore the fragrance but performance seems poor. It may just be my skin. I'll allow it to sit in the back of my closet for a bit. Hopefully silage and (more so) duration will improve.

To my Indian nose, this smells like fresh chameli / mogra flowers in vanillic milk with chopped apricots. The mood is definitely pre-wedding. A Mehendi or haldi day fragrance. But, more like an elegant South Indian wedding. The pear gives a slight fruity freshness, bringing some brightness to the otherwise lactonic mood. The woods and musk aren’t pronounced (I wish they were for the olfactory journey to be more satisfying); it pretty much ends on a radiant amber note. In that way, it reminds me a bit of NR Ambree, which I prefer. The latter is much more solar and the white and yellow florals are well balanced there - unlike the amped up white florals in this one. It’s not a unique DNA, and one could easily find similar attars or fragrances in the domestic market. However, if this is your thing, it’s a well blended white floral perfume with respectable stay and sillage, which will grow on you and have you sniffing your arm more than once. Update: It’s been 6 months since I wrote this. I like it better now, with the apricot brightness much more pronounced. It really lifts up the white florals and gives it a unique personality, which was missing so far.

disclaimer: i've never smelled baciami, so i'm unable to compare. man, this is such a pretty perfume! on the opening, i get fresh, slightly green white florals-- at this point, it's light and airy. as it settles on my skin, the creaminess of the gardenia along with the sweetness of apricot and pear (which is a fresh, crisp pear vs a baked or candied pear) come through and start to add density to the fragrance. the vanilla and amber in the dry down make it even sweeter and a little boozy. imagine wearing a flowy white dress, taking an evening stroll through a garden full of gardenias, the air thick with their scent while you enjoy some vanilla yogurt (it's not lactonic-- just the texture!) swirled with apricot puree. overall, it's a creamy, fruity floral gourmand that smells smooth and beautiful right out of the box. i'm interested to see if it changes. it's very feminine leaning, elegant, and i can't stop smelling my wrist. while it may be a little thick for hot summer days, i think this works year round and could easily be a signature scent. probably my best middle eastern fragrance buy this year. ♥

I honestly didn’t know what I was expecting, but wow—I was pleasantly blindsided. The gardenia had me rolling my eyes at myself because it’s just so ridiculously good. Not that old‐school, vintage gardenia either—this one is sweet, intoxicating, and determined to stick around for the whole show. The apricot and vanilla? They’re basically holding hands and harmonizing. I’m genuinely so happy with this fragrance. It is on the thicker, denser side—definitely not an airy little spritz‐and‐go situation—so spray with caution unless you want to knock yourself out or trigger a self‐induced headache. That said, I’d still wear Nefais Sharq to the office...in moderation. But let’s be real: this scent wants to be out in the world, wafting behind you while you twirl in a sundress in someone’s imaginary garden. Performance is moderate with solid longevity and sillage—not beast mode, which is honestly a blessing for something this heady. So glad I grabbed this one. Enjoy!

I don't really like floral notes and it was a risky blind buy for me, but god... this is sooo good! The opening gardenia, vanilla and apricot hit so hard - they're thick, sweet and intoxicating and work so well together. I get lots of pear and freesia too. It's white floral, but not old school. It's also maybe even heading into gourmand territory because of those thick, caramelized fruits. I believe it can be worn in any season. Comforting and hugging enough for winter, but not cloying at all in warmer season. It's somewhat similar to Lattafa's Gharam, but Gharam is a touch more fruity and less dense. Nafais has got a bit worse performance though, but it's fine if you spray generously. I like to layer them both together. Beautiful bottle, too. More on feminine side, but it would be quite interesting on man's skin too. Very layerable. Great perfume!

This scent is really lovely! It is flowery and powdery with just enough sweetness to make it enjoyable without being overpowering or sickly. It is a very feminine perfume without smelling dated. I find it a refreshing change to all the heavy gourmands that have been popular the last few years. Longevity and projection are good. Sillage is really lovely and garners me many compliments. I would suggest that this is an easy reach perfume that can be worn year round. I would mostly wear it during the day time. I have only tested Baciami in store on skin, so I am relying on memory for comparison. I would say this does very much remind me of that perfume, but I am not able to do a side-by-side comparison. P.S. it layers extremely well with scents that have the BR 540 dna e.g. Club de Nuit Untold.

Cheerful, floral, fruity, feminine and there is something a little denser and creamier about it than Gharam. Very similar though. I think I prefer this apricot to Gharams pineapple too, I really get a sense of a smooth, velvety apricot skin. This one wears a little heavier and despite no coconut listed it has a touch of imaginary coconut milk in there verging on beachy, but I think you could wear this all year round. Very pretty and uplifting in mood. Ideal for gifting and a safe blind buy for floral lovers. Edit: I found this did not do so well in the colder months and it needs a bit of warmth to lift it otherwise it goes a bit woody and flat.

I just want to give a little warning that I got a 2nd bottle of Sharq on TikTok from MayFi.Store2 and this bottle smells NOTHING like the first one or how it should. The bottle looks legit but there is something wrong with this. Returning immediately. It's lighter, very generic powdery, less fruits, not as sweet. This is not good. The first bottle was amazing though! Just beware where you buy from. I literally had to check the label to make sure I got the right thing.

It’s very beautiful perfume. Wish it would project and last longer. Thought with this one is tricky cos I got each time I wore it a compliment but I did overspray it.. maybe it’s need a bit more time who now’s with Arab perfumes that happens. TBH with others too have Pure musk and at the beginning was devastated as thought it’s not lasting and not projecting but with time now it’s a beast and most complimented perfume for me.

I waited to purchase this, as 2025 perfume season has caused whiplash with alll the back to back releases. Khadlaj never disappoints on longevity, quality or blend. This is no exception. Amazing pear with slight coconut scent to me. The oud present is slight and enhances the other notes to my nose. There is a slight booziness on drydown. I am not sure what season to wear it in, but I think you can wear in autumn as well

I love this scent. Humid florals, like walking into a hothouse. Beautiful gardenia with apricot and peach, a smooth floral and woody dry down. Love it all through. I have a gripe though, and it's not about the fragrance, it's about the rampant use of AI people use to "write" their reviews. It's devaluing the whole site and the users who actually take the time to write their opinions in their own words.

Blind buy because of social media - zero regrets. I have never smelled Bulgari Baciami so no idea about similarities, for me it smells unique. Interesting DNA that has not been done and redone. Sweet, fruity and floral, strong. The character of woman wearing it in my head: feminine sweetheart who loves and protects her family and friends but who can kick your ass if needed.

Khadlaj did an ah-mazing job here — adding the gardenia and the longevity that Lattafa’s Gharam was missing. This is a beautiful floral gourmand; not groundbreaking, yet absolutely stunning. If you enjoy fragrances like Ylang in Gold by M. Micallef, you’ll fall in love with this one. Totally buy-worthy, in my opinion. @deepgreenbeauty

Well well this is an astonishingly lovely delight. I always thought it would be too floral from the notes but I am getting sweet candied treacle fruits on top of a cookie. I love the wafts of this, I feel like it captures fruity scent and gourmand scent in a lovely just good smelling way and I cant get enough of it.

Oh this is heavenly! Straight out of the box I’m getting gardenia/peach/freesia in a creamy blend which is probably the effect of the vanilla and musk. The bottle is lovely too, a cream and inky blue marble effect with speckles of gold. If you like creamy sweet white florals, you may just love this.

This smells SO MUCH like something I have but I cannot put my finger on it (not even gharam or baciami ive never smelled them it’s something else). Update: I think it's Armani Code this is reminding me of??? If you added lots of creamy gardenia? Ugh but I still can't put my finger on it exactly

Omg, I'm in love with this one! It's delicious! It starts with juicy apricot and then you can smell these vanillary flowers. It is one my favourite perfumes now! I hope they produce it forever. It is straight out of the box, so if gets better than this with maceration I will go crazy.

Wow wow wow! This became almost instantly one of my favourite dupes ever! It is so so so nice and almost IDENTICAL to ”Baciami by BVLGARI” which I LOOOOVE! It’s so creamy, fruity but still very sophisticated. A PERFECT perfume! I’ll give this one, without a doubt a 10/10!

I was so worried I wasn’t going to like this. First spray was not great, but I was patient and let it sit for a few months and boy am I glad I did! It’s gorgeous, creamy powdery slightly fruity floral. It’s one of my favorites now! Can’t wait to wear this in the summer

A beautiful fragrance, so bright and rich, which brings joy. At first, I smelled apricot, pear, and freesia. Then a warmer vanilla/musk base appeared. It reminds me of the perfume Venus by French Avenue (I have it on my wish list, it's a creamier version).

Gardenia freesia apricot forward, cozy sensual and creamy smell. Like sitting in a floral garden at night surrounded by ferry lights. That's the picture that came to mind the first time I smelled it. Quite sweet but not overbearing.

A baked pear and apricot dessert with vanilla and lots of creamy white florals. 1 to 2 sprays and you're good for the day. Versatile enough to wear any time of day and season. This smells more expensive than it is. Love!!

I'm new to the world of fragrances but I love Gardenia and Pear. This I loved at first sniff and I'm still testing. There's a scent that keeps interfering maybe it's the musk I don't know but I'm still testing it.

Absolutely love this at first sniff. Better than Gharam lataffa. Pretty girl scent. Strong right out the bat and smells out of this word. My best perfume buy in 2025 together with Royal blend Sequoia

Lovely sent! Never put my nose on the supposed inspiration but Nafais Sharq gives me the same vibe as Qaed Al Fursan from Lattafa. Not the same notes in the description though. Am I the only one?

I had bought a decant of this since I had read all the raving reviews. I gotta say, at first I was utterly underwhelmed. My nose isn't seasoned enough to detect particular notes but there was something really off putting. A month later, I've changed my mind or maybe the scent has matured.Now I get a fruitiness at the outset with a vanillic undertone the borders on the gourmand but not quite, just the way I like it. Can't speak about longevity yet because it's only been a while since I sprayed it but sillage is arm's length. Considering buying the full bottle!!!

This comment is for those considering this as a replacement for Baciami. It’s a very beautiful perfume: floral, sweet, and delicious, but it has a certain harshness to it, and at times it can even be headache-inducing. I do really like it, but compared to Baciami, I’d say it’s about 70–75% similar. Baciami is much softer: a creamy, floral vanilla that projects beautifully on the skin in a delicate, sensual way. Perhaps with more time to macerate, this fragrance could become smoother and more refined, and the harshness might fade, but I can’t say for sure.

This is one I might need to wear more than once - sometimes I get the fruity notes - esp the apricot and other times I get the amber hit. I wore it for the day at work and the longevity is not too bad. It needed a lunchtime top up but it did the job and is definitely office friendly. Its super pretty and the price is ace but theres nothing that makes it really stand out against other fragrances with similar notes. Some compare it to Baciami but I don't see it I find that much more gourmand this one is more fruity flowers.

I never tried Baciami, so I can’t compare to that. But sticking to comparison, this was before Lattafa Gharam, so that might the dupe of this perfume. This is also a light, easy to wear fruity-floral gourmand. The end of the drydown is more musky here rather than being creamy, and the opening is more apricot forward than in Gharam. Longevity is weak, you’re not gonna suffocate in the summer heat from this. If I have to choose from Gharam and Nafais Sharq, my pick is Gharam, because that's more gourmand.

I do agree with the “its just another White floral comment” I usually like gourmands and flormands, and havent smelled the Blvgari Perfume so i blind bought this based on reviews. Its a pretty scent. Not usually my style. I dont find it fruity, or granny smelling. I get a lot of gardenia and maybe Jasmine, even though it isnt in the notes. Its more generic than I thought it would be actually. As a Vanilla girly its okay. Might Update as it macerates..

To me, this smells so much like Viva La Juicy or a Viva La Juicy flanker (Gold Couture and Sucre). It is nice but to me .... definitely nothing new or unique and so very repetitive as it pertains to my own personal collection. Projection is weak to moderate in my opinion but my bottle is brand new.

I’ve had my bottle for a week now. When I first got it I couldn’t smell the fruity notes and it just smelt like a creamy coconut with a bit of floral (reminiscent of Qaed al furson). Today I’m getting more of the pear & apricot blossom notes and that’s made me like it a lot more.

So I bought this perfume when it first came out and don’t get me wrong, it smells good but it’s so weak. I kept spraying it on my arm over and over again and felt like I could just barely smell it. I returned it, but maybe if it sits for a while it gets stronger.

Opens with a blast of candy-like fruitiness. Must be the apricot, maybe the pear. Dries down to a creamy gardenia with hints of the candy. Do not get much vanilla. For that prisepoint, really nice for spring and summer.

This one is very nice however it is not creamy or lactonic at all. It is not a sweet gormond fragrance. It is definitely fruity and there is minimal to no vanilla in it. It's very very fresh floral also.

In short " an extremely boring spicy gardenia centric floral perfume" 🫩 I was meant to add nafais sharq to my collection by next year but somehow luck by chance i got influenced by an acquaintance perfume enthusiast like me whom i met on Facebook. She couldn't stop gushing about the perfume to me so i basically was supposed to buy something else but due to some last minute influence i decided to spend my coins on this. It costed me quite a lot of money so i am really gonna be brutally honest with my review & my disappointment with this 😑 With due respect to everyone who found this appealing but sorry to say this is not a blind buy worthy fragrance. Don't listen to those YouTube & tiktok influencers reviews who praises this as a creamy Lactonic milky floral fragrance. IT CLEARLY ISN'T! WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP! THE WHITE FLORAL ISN'T SUCCULENT OR CREAMY OR MILKY AT ALL! I THOUGHT THE GARDENIA WILL BE A BIT MORE FLESHY & CREAMY :'( Ok after you first spray it all you get a nose punching gardenia note. The gardenia is the star of this fragrance & it's presence is absolutely unapologetic. The Gardenia is also spicy & sharp not soft at all. I don't know why it isn't listed but i can very well smell some jasmine in there too. There is a slight crisp pear note to give that fresh aspect. In the dry down you get some soft musky sweetness. Apparently there is a bourbon vanilla but i don't get any boozy notes either. The absolute dry down is a bit custard like very slightly creamy vanilla. Almost like you have placed a blooming gardenia flower in a bowl of custard or something. The vanilla base is here delicious but the white floral component isn't incorporating with it well. It's funny because the vanilla custard note is almost mouthwatering but what a pity! that peeking floral note is really killing it for me. The vanilla dry down is seriously to die for only if it was more Jasmine heavy 🥺 This is a strict white floral particularly a gardenia + jasmine heavy fragrance. There is nothing fruity about it. It's purely floral & that too cheap nauseating floral. It has a scented incense/ attar like quality as well the more it dries down. It makes me feel like i am in a room & a Jasmine scented incense is burning. if anyone blindfolds me & tells me this is a local attar i would have believed it. If anyone has smelled ulric de varens jasmin perfume i feel it's similar to that smell. Something about it gives me vintage old lady vibe. This is so generic, old & faint. I can't seem to understand what's so unique or elegant about it? I can't also seem to visualise any occasion where i should recommend this. I can only see this wearing by mothers or old grandmothers who aren't fussy with what they smell like but they have worn this because it was gifted to them by one of their loved one. I can only see this wearing by an extremely mature old woman who are way out of touch with the latest trend, who has a good heart & wishes you well & you know that she means well but the way she cares for you makes you feel annoyed. Because she is boring & uncool so you just put up with her because you don't want to hurt her. Anyway you aren't missing out on anything. You can find so many better, healthier, succulent, creamy, sparkly but sophisticated white floral scent at a much cheaper price than this. This was a heavily disappointed blind buy for me. The projection is so faint i can barely smell this on myself. I have to douse myself with this just to create a minimum scent bubble. it stays on for 5/6 hours before it completely disappears. I was recommended that this one will do wonders in winter ( since it's winter here in my country) but that bourbon vanilla note isn't giving what it was supposed to give. I much rather see this as a spring time scent. I still wouldn't recommend this to any younger or adult woman in their 20's or 30's. if you wanna smell non noticeable, slightly boring while doing some errands, if you are a fan of gardenia as a flower, if you have some lazy cash left to spend & whimsically blind buy something then you can try this otherwise i would highly recommend to look for something more sophisticated at a much better price.

Yeah I'm just getting gardenia. Maybe a slightly peppery woody drydown with gardenia. That's literally it. I also bought Gharam by Lattafa because I desperately want the notes these perfumes promise, but that one is also just gardenia. Needless to say if you have one, you definitely don't need the other. Nafais does seem to be stronger and longer lasting so if you're waffling between the two of them my pick would be Nafais sharq. The white florals aren't poopy or pissy, so that's awesome, but these are my first blind buys I'm thinking of selling to recoup some of my money at least. I may sell gharam and keep nafais to at least layer, we'll see.

Purchased a decant after watching some reviews. It's a nice creamy floral scent, but I wish it was more gourmand. Tested it out and loved the initial spray and the middle notes, but there was something about the drydown that had me feeling a bit nauseous. The scent was something I'd smelled before but I couldn't place it at the time. A couple of weeks later, I was testing fragrances at Sephora and I realized what it was! It smells like Commodity Milk Bold! Both start off lovely but something about the last notes just doesn't agree with my nose. Nice fragrance but I'm glad I got a decant.

This smells like Giardini Di toscana Bora Bora to me in the dry down. Although the notes are different it’s very similar- I’ve got both and compared side by side. Longevity is ok a couple of hours projection then becomes a creamy skin scent. Bora Bora lasts forever. Even did test strips and returned 4 hours later and they still smell very similar. I am not really fond of Bora Bora as it’s too jasmin heavy for me but nafais shark smells as though it has jasmin in it but it’s not in the notes. I don’t think I will reach for it often but it’s a pleasant fragrance with a decent longevity.

More floral powdery on the paper strip but on my skin this becomes a completely different scent. Very musky, a little creamy, kinda sweet and fruity, florals are less pronounced but still definitely there and I can pick up the vanilla once it settles but it comes off a tad bit rubbery. I'm still not sure what to make of it, it's not unpleasant or offensive but I don't find myself wanting a full bottle immediately.
