Nights of Arabia

I absolutely love this. It's smokey leathery raspberry and rose, with a hint of some citrus and maybe wood. I think I might make this my signature fragance...it's soothing, it mature feminine leaning, could be unisex but the rose and the raspberry are quite prominent. It has something raw and sexy but not in a sweet and gentle, cute way. This has personality and it def has something to say (don't blind buy). I love how you can smell the different notes quite clearly but it's well blended as well. It smells a little bit like Byredo's black saffron and By Saffron from Maison Alhambra(dupe of Byredo Black Saffron) but this is more dry & smokey, fruity & rosey. So sort of agree with the comparison made below. It gives me a more animalic vibe because of the floral mixed with leather... The only downside to this fragance is the performance. It lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin, it smells better on my skin than on clothes, and this is def not the beast mode perfume a lot of other arabian style perfumes are.

When I first sprayed it, I didn't like it, it was berry-syrupy sweet, a bit synthetic. Now, after 2-3 months, it must have macerated bc it smells much more balanced and smooth and I am loving it. It has very prominent sweet berries scent so I think it might feel too feminine for a traditional man, but I can definitely appreciate this on men too. The leather note is only detectable when you sniff it up close (to me leather always smells like cigarette ash, which I'm not a big fan of, but here it's very subtle and muted). I have 300 bottles in my collection and can't compare this to anything I know. I haven't tried Black Saffron tho, which this is meant to be a dupe of. It is not like the typical women's deep berries etc, this is unique, unisex, very good silage and performance for the price. I think this is def a cold weather fragrance.

#921 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is not an exact clone of Byredo "Black Saffron", but it's close enough. Fruity and floral without being so feminine men can't wear it, but fruity and floral enough that I will give it to a girlfriend. Strong performer and very attractive scent, but it will work better for the lovely lady I'll give it to than it will for me.

Damn.. I'm back here after two years to say this is a banger. I am loving this so much. Sexy, smooth, dark, attention-grabbing. To think I almost sold it right after purchasing... soo happy I gave it some time to mature and smooth out. I'm surprised there are only a few comms here.

This perfume is nice. Had it some 5 years ago.

Mine is new but I'm not a fan. It's harsh. I get the leathery touch and raspberry but the combo is unpleasant imo.

This is just awful! Strong, berry and leather dominant, but they are not blended. Both stand out on their own and smell like a mess. But I discovered a magic! You can transform it into something else, you have to add a bit of smoke, it will add as a "bridge" between berries and leather, and it will really smell sweet, smooth, resinous, and incense-like. Start from tiny amout of a strong smoke accord (I use a super strong smoke attar oil; standalone, it smells like burnt wood + burnt cigar) and keep increasing the smoke by tiny amounts till the tartness of the berries smooths, thats the balance IMHO. It will feel mysterious and niche and really good!
