Unreal

This perfume is not at all what I expected based on the notes that are declared, and I'm not sure if in this case this counts for better or for worse :) The iris is probably my favorite note in perfumery and here, more coming from the hand of the master Chris Maurice, I expected a real iris bomb, different from the others but floral, powdery and without concessions. However, what I have found is a woody and very earthy perfume, with a huge load of wood and vetiver and a touch of leather. The iris is there, yes, but for me the woody part stands out above all, which overshadows that floral part a bit. A distant cousin of Dior Homme was waiting for me and I met some relative of L'homme from YSL. Therefore, it is very difficult for me to rate this fragrance since, if I do it thinking that it is an iris perfume, despite its quality, it would go towards the bottom of the list, since there are many other perfumes with that note where it stands out more that I love But if I think of Unreal as a classic woody perfume for men, it is already gaining ground, since that subtle touch of iris, leather and spices give it a special touch that makes it very pleasant. In short, although it is one of the ones that I have liked the most in the collection, I do not see much space for it in my collection, but I can strongly recommend it to those who enjoy earthy perfumes with a high load of wood. My favorite Kinetic sample so far! On paper this smelled a little bit like Roja Dove's work for some reason, but on skin the effect is totally different. Very strong lemon/pepper opening with iris. This combination reminds me a little bit of Escentric 01. Very versatile IMO, not cloying at all. The rum/benzoin are only adding a little depth without dominating. Aromatic-spicy with juniper and ginger. Just like all the other Kinetics I've tried so far, there seems to be an inspired undercurrent here. These seem to partly imitate popular fragrances with unique twists. This time with DG Light Blue. This has just been taken in a totally different direction, more peppery, deep and dry-woody.

Smells fresh, like lemon citrus washing powder☺

Simply an orris root, black pepper, vetiver cedar/iso e super combo but this one has a bit of a nice bite to it! Update: actually reminding me of tf grey vetiver with its own identity. If I can find this, ill snatch it up! This fragrance will be a hit IMO
