Harmonious, serious, fresh, aromatic, and inspiring. I perceive this perfume as some kind of flashback or a rewound movie because it evokes such memories in me. Specifically, it takes me back to high school when the globally popular scent Acqua Di Gio was first launched. I distinctly remember that a classmate received that perfume as a gift and was the coolest guy in school. I really liked the scent back then, but I never owned it. Whenever I went to a perfumery, I rarely reached for it because it was out of reach for me at the time and, in my mind, 'forbidden' in my own personal way. I didn't want to smell like him, and I didn't want to wear the 'hype' around my neck. I wanted something different and more special. I never followed or smelled the other flankers of Acqua Di Gio, but I was aware of its popularity, which was certainly justified. Now, here I am with a perfume in my hand that strongly reminds me of that scent from high school, yet it is different in its nuances, transformed into a modern Chypre fragrance. I am extremely glad to now own this, in this version, a niche version embodied by Chris Maurice, a respected perfumer. I would like to point out the base and dry down of this fragrance, which create a more complex and serious story. At its heart lie amber, patchouli, cedar, musk, and oakmoss, which, after a fresh opening, give this perfume room to develop into a more substantial and different aromatic form while retaining its fresh opening. The founder of the brand himself stated that this was the longest work on a perfume in the entire line he launched. Now I understand why! It's very difficult to create a fresh fragrance that is actually different, but our nose still recognizes a connection. However, if you delve deeper into the very essence of the fragrance, you notice that this is a different story, a more serious story that doesn't belong on a school desk. I am now 35 years old and can see myself wearing this perfume with a shirt, in a summer casual or formal outfit. Naturally, it is a magnet for compliments because it has its charisma and conveys the message that something can indeed be different. This is a simple perfume composition that develops in layers and grows on your skin, and during the warm months, it is a perfect choice! Highly recommended.

Usually it is very difficult for me to qualify this type of fresh-citrus-aquatic summer perfumes because they all smell very similar to me and it is difficult for me to understand why pay €200 for a perfume that can be obtained practically the same in Zara for €20, since in this type of aromas my inexperienced nose does not usually find a great difference between different qualities. In this case, however, I really liked the perfume. I personally wouldn't buy it since it's not my style, but those who like perfumes in the Acqua di Gio line can find a much more elaborate option here. Despite sharing that fresh-citrus-marine character that usually surrounds this type of fragrance, the floral part adds a different and very pleasant point to it that sets it apart from the rest of the perfumes in its family. To me it looks a lot like Salt & cyclamen by Label perfumes Tenerife, another perfume that also positively surprised me when I tried it. In short, a very suitable perfume for the summer season, fresh and easy to wear, with a performance in line with this type of fragrance. Person below put a very good review. This is a fragrance that's very close to designer summer scents. Marine notes are hardly noticable. Citrus is accompanied with flowers which makes this something a bit different. Nonetheless when trying Verdigris you can not come to a conclusion that it smells a bit generic, shower-gel-like.
