Kusunoki Eau de Parfum

Sophisticated and calming. It opens with a soft hit of medicinal Vick VapoRub, but the vanilla in the base rounds it out. The dry down leans into the vanilla but never turns gourmand on my skin. I also don't really pick up the citrus top notes. I never expected to gravitate toward camphor as a note, but I find myself craving this fragrance. Its unique but not strange. It invokes an image of a chic but down to earth person who values balance, quality, independence, and peace. Totally unisex. This brand also carries room mists in the scent which I think would be lovely.

A simple natural woody fragrance centered around the coniferous notes of the laurel camphor tree. The perfume opens briefly with citrusy notes of bergamot, grapefruit and orange. The heart is mostly the laurel camphor extract with hints of cashmere and lily. The perfume settles into more camphor surrounded by slight hints of vanilla, synthetic musk and fir. Overall calming, therapeutic unisex scent with moderate sillage and good longevity. Easy to reach unfussy natural for those into woody scents. Enjoy!

Probably one of the smoothest camphorous fragrance out in the market, with no rough edges. It greets you with a non- screechy citrus concoction that quickly transits into a soft laurel that is laying on a bed of cashmere, then it dries down into a vanillic, citric,musky and camphor base. My least favourite of the line, due to the fact that it's not as complex as Hinoki and Hiba. And the drydown is borderline gourmandish due to the citrus and vanilla, which felt out of place. Very pleasant nonetheless, still worth sampling due to the sheer quality and how well made it is.
