Knize Sec

Sec is very much a herbal lavender blend with a smokey aroma giving it that dry effect. After awhile the leather combined with amber rises to the top giving it an appealing sweetened tone. Mingling among the other notes is very much a soft citrus blend which has more of an overall lighter airy aroma. Longevity and Silage is very good with depth thou it's a lighter version. Finally I own Kinze 10...a real monster aroma of thick/dirty bad ass leather aroma which I enjoy during the late fall and throughout the winter months. Sec is much more of natural herbal smokey blend with a smig of leather. This fragrance could be worn during the early fall and during the day. The aroma is steady carrying well past 6hrs. I really enjoy this fragrance...8/10

Nice dry, herbaly/woody aromatic. Good blending of middle notes even though lavender and petitgrain are vying for attention. That jasmine/leather groove is saying something in the drydown. Keeps things interesting. Can almost smell the cedar note; incense is a nice touch throughout. I can imagine an old, personal library with leather-bound books arrayed on cedar shelves, an overstuffed chair next to an old table with wood-inlayed ; a snifter of cognac atop it. Dry rustling of pages being turned as an incensy-ink smell wafts throughout the room. All of these notes know how to play 'knize'.

What a magnificent flanker of the original The addition of oranges and incense is inspiring Yes it does smell like something I tried before But the power and intensity is incredible I loved it and enjoyed it Such an incredible scent to wear every now and then Leather and oranges is a match made in heaven It’s not my first experience here I enjoyed bel ami by Hermes just as much as this one frankly more than this And since the brand is hard to find in my region makes it that much better A must try at least if you like leather and oranges

Knize Sec is a very unusual scent without going over the top. Sec is smooth, dignified, and graceful, but marches to its own drummer. In the very beginning I detect something that almost reminds me of pineapple--but realistic tangy pineapple, not gross pineapple-scented products. It then becomes very earthy and smooth, smelling of sage and potting soil (but not too literal). Despite this seeming clash of juicy-earthy, it transitions flawlessly. A scent of moderation and individuality. Very nice.

Launched in 1985 Sec has a drastically dry citrus/frankincense/sage opening enriched in the drydown by amber, shy flowery accords, a remarkable coriander note and hints of leather. Sort of a dried to the bone Knize Ten. Not very much to add as this composition is quite simple and linear yet incredibly satisfying. Maybe not one of the most distinctive perfumes around but If you're into straight-forward, austere frankincense fragrances you'll probably dig this. I do. Rating 7.5/10

Lemon, petitgrain, sage, and incense... sounds like a nose party! And it is. Dry but not brittle. Herbal but not weedy. Redemption for the latest version of Ten.

Knize Ten is one of my favorites, so I was pretty disappointed by this. Knize Sec has a pleasantly mild incense note that reminds me of certain Tauer offerings. Where it fails is how fleeting the scent is. I’m not exaggerating when I say that it’s gone in under 10 minutes, no matter how much I spray.

The opening of Knize Sec shows a strong Knize Ten/Sec family resemblance. But where Ten goes heavy leather, Sec strikes a milder but full-bodied leather/tobacco pose. There’s also a citrus note right up front. Sec. The name might be unimaginative, but it’s right on. Sec has a gorgeous, arid character that reminds me that dry is not the antithesis of rich. Dryness here is a focused robustness that develops over time. As the green citrus recedes, Sec actually becomes a bit of a white floral (jasmine? violet?) What seems like a few simple parts play off each other beautifully. The white flower bit somehow ties the leather/tobacco to a rising incense and amber base. The frankincense connects to the citrus, the tobacco to the dry amber. So tidy. And a text-book example of an engaging evolution over time. I’d recommend this to a man who likes a simple (as in non-fussy) fragrance but enjoys depth as well.

A very well done fragrance by Knize, however with that said it's not for me. I prefer the original over this even thought it's more toned down. Sec Is Very well constructed and the dry down is incredible, however during the first hour after application the opening just does not sit well with me. Definitely sample this before full bottle purchase. Smells like an 80's Masterpiece, and it is! Woody, dry & Dusty, completely masculine as others have mentioned, I could picture Clint Eastwood wearing this in his old westerns. 10/10 True Masterpiece If I can just get over the opening, I would buy A bottle. I will keep trying.

Sec, meaning dry is exactly that - no sweet florals here, instead the signature smoky rubber is accentuated by a bouquet garni of sage, coriander etc. The overall effect is raw and vegetal - that of celery, that is kind of how it comes off on my skin like a fresh, raw piece of celery. Slightly smoky and slightly boozy, like a whisky that dries the palate. Rather inviting and cozy whilst being fresh and undoubtedly masculine. Nice smoky edge that makes me think of drinking a Scotch by an open fire place. Overall this is very unique, I haven't encountered anything quite like this. Compelling and addictive... 5*.

This opens with a lemony citrus with a dusty incense note. After a while a astringent lavender appears giving the scent a slight harsh herbal like accord. Out of this a leather note rears it's head but it's low key because of the dominant smoky lavender and incense note. This fragrance has character and their is a lot more going on than I can put my finger on. Some floral notes mixing in methinks. Though this scent has it's rough edges due to the astringent lavender and incense note it does also have it's charms. Boring it is not.

DUSTY LEATHER WITH (slightly sour) CITRUS I loved the opening - a soft dusty leather (much more wearable than Santa Maria Novella's old spanish leather). Definitely had the DNA of Knize. (You can tell its somehow related to Knize Ten.) Initially, I did not detect the citrus. After maybe two hours, the citrus popped its head out. Oh how I wished it hadn't. The citrus has a sour note to it - and it spoiled all the joy I was having with the other notes. I had high hopes for this. Big sigh.

This smells like a blend of Egoiste and Yatagan, but less in your face than either. It's great. Lots of strong, sharp dry incense and woody smells going on, with a soft leather note underlying it all. It has a sort of bitter, skanky smell underlying it all too, which makes it really interesting, rather than just woody. It's masculine but not macho, and more of a gentlemanly scent.

Great juice! A perfect flanker to the original. Very contemporary! Fantastic, semi-fresh, aromatic, boozy yet dry and smoky fragrance! Reminds me of an easy going mob hang out in NYC. Cool, classy, formal yet easy going and stylish. Warm, comforting yet serious with a good overall performance. Love it!!

The most.perfect blend if tobacco and leather in ftsgrance history. Stunning.
