Amethyst Oud

This is such great value for money. I haven't been able to find an affordable fragrance I've liked in about a decade, let alone an oud one. This is a sophisticated, wearable composition, a fresher oud accompanied by bergamot and wood. Stays multi-layered for hours. This is honestly astounding for the price, sample it when you can. Last thing to note, is that both this and the Emerald Oud are a unisex unicorn. You get the unisex label thrown around a lot, but it's not usually accurate. Most fragrances lean masculine or feminine. Not these. They perform differently but equally well on both sexes,my husband and I enjoy our sets without twinning.

I like Korres fragrances because of their natural ingredients. They don't have Phthalates, PCM,Animal by-products etc.... This fragrance even though on Korres' website is supposed to be for women, I find it quite masculine, woody with citrus notes. Longevity is slightly above average. It is a great value formoney!!

Yeşil, taze ve konforlu bir oud. Oud baskın değil ama komposzisyondaki odunsu hava oradan geliyor. Yormuyor ve baskın değil. Farkli ve yormayan bir oud için tercih edilebilir.

Elsewhere I have found the notes listed as: Top: Cardamom, Grapefruit, Mandarin Heart: Lavender, Geranium, Pepper Base: Oud, Patchouli, Vetiver As others have said, it is officially listed as a women’s fragrance, though it is definitely unisex imho.

I’m new to fragrances and am searching for a unisex everyday one. Reading the notes and others’ reviews this one sounded like everything I would be drawn to (spices, fragrant woods, citrus). First spray on my wrist immediately I got the memories of an air freshener spray, specifically the brightly colored cans of Glade that sometimes sit in the poorly lit bathrooms of otherwise great restaurants. This connotation stays with me every time I check on my wrist for the next few hours. At around 1-2 hrs, if I lean in very close I catch the hint of something more warm, almost gingery almost sweet that I desperately wish would come closer...alas it slips away and I am left with a cold and tired potpourri. Perhaps I got a bad bottle. It was shipped from the east to west coast during some very hot days. Tried it on as the weather began to cool. I was looking forward to this one and am disappointed. May try it again a different season and see if it’s any different.

I'm afraid I agree with nguyenxxx below, this smells like air-freshener or some other artificial, harsh scent that I personally will not be able to wear. I think it's the lavender note that annoys me the most, so brutally similar to a detergent, but there's also a piney note that's loud and "unbelievable", as in not natural at all, to me. I've gifted it to a friend, male, and will come back to you with his response. As there are no testers or samples available where I live, I took the chance and blind bought it based on the reviews here. Risky, I know, but I've been lucky some times. Guess you can't be lucky all the time :) Do not do what I did - this one needs testing before buying.

$6.99 @ TJ Maxx.... This one very simply....smells good !!! Yes...a "touch" of Cartier Declaration...and even a "vibe" of Terre de Hermes....but...not...a clone IMO. Woody...a little citrus/geranium and slight oud..but not "oudy" at all. I am enjoying this one so far. Projection and sillage are not great,but for the price paid, I am still impressed. Easy to wear. Very pleasant.

Both of Korres's oud releases, Emerald Oud & Amethyst Oud, have been unlisted from their official website. Seeing how they seem to tend to discontinue fragrances rather quickly, these 2 seem to have gotten the axe & are discontinued.

In korres site this perfume is said to be created for women :)
