Vanilla Violet Eau de Cologne

This is the vanilla powder booster.... the EDC concentration is misleading, this is not something for the summer wardrobe really, unlike most of the other Korres EDCs (they make excellent summer or bedtime scents, as they have a skin friendly formula and cooling soothing ingredients but I digress here...) I ordered mine blind online after just bringing back another Korres EDC from Greece... back home on a cold day I thought heck why not vanilla violet sounds great for autumn. It comes on very sugary sweet vanilla and for a moment you might think it is like a celebrity sort of scent. Then the violet powder comes and goes in soft waves.... the violet bit in this EDC has rather long staying power. I love to layer Vanilla Violet with other violet scents, or just spray some one before bed. Maybe it is not a world changing fragrance, maybe someone will say it reminds them of so and so... But it is definitely not as simple as it sounds. Some very popular fragrances are based on just 2 or three main notes and have a baffling depth and variation depending on when you wear them. This fragrance also suprised me by starting off all super sweet vanilla and then slowly releasing violet musky clouds of softness. If you can get it for a good price, grab it. Great value especially as it does not feel like an EDC in strength and versatility. Bonus points for eco friendly, skin friendly, no nasties, vegan, not tested on animals, etc.

I absolutely adore this soft yet memorable scent. I'm a fan of vanilla in general, and this vanilla-violet combo is just exquisite! It's a tad like Hypnose. Smells more intense in the bottle but dries sweeter.

One of my all time favourites! Wish they'd bring it back. Such a great balance between vanilla and violet. Sweet and refreshing at the same time.
