Oud for Highness 75

Nice one. OFH reminds me a lot of Montale ́s Black Aoud which I own as well. However, OFH is much more refined, comparable to a diamond in Asscher cut instead of plain round cut :-) Both are fine perfumes but OFH is not harsh, not as "loud" as Black Aoud and slightly sweet, just a bit. It ́s honey which softens the composition altogether. Contrary to Black Aoud there is no rose in this scent, just woods and saffron and honey, that ́s what my nose detects. Whoever liked the basics in BA but found it way too strong and too masculine might really enjoy this one. King Hussein of Jordan first wore it and this implies a great deal of quality to me. Worth the money. Yes, as correctly mentioned before, this scent is very linear. No surprises, no labyrinth of new impressions during the drydown. I like both complex and simple scents. Depends on the juice. A simple, fine scent with exquisite ingredients is sufficient for me - if it is as distinguished as OFH. Expensive frag, yes but on the other hand you will use it a long time as it is nevertheless a strong scent which you do not spritz on generously (you really shouldn ́t). Longevity : great. Projection : medium (Black Aoud in comparison is huge!)

A gorgeous scent. Really a stunner--and full of surprises for me. On me, the evolution is an inverted pyramid: oud shines in the top notes but softens and fades as the heart and base notes come out. The heart has equal parts honey (a flowery and fruity honey) and supple leathery notes in the sandalwood. Surprisingly, soapy aldehydes come out to sparkle after the top notes subside (they are present in the top profile but are hidden behind the oud, which they are lifting up to the light). Aldehydes + oud are new to me--so inventive for a perfume created in 1975! As beautiful as it is, it's also sadly short-lived, another thing I've not encountered with an oud before. It's gone (from my skin) in under two hours. Regardless, you’ll smell ravishing while it lasts. It fits the body like a glove and although it's not exactly a skin scent, it's a captivating extension of your existence. It’s that rare scent that'll have people leading off with “Wow, you smell fantastic,” instead of phrasing it as “Nice perfume. What are you wearing?”

So far this is my favourite Oudh based perfume. I love Oudh based perfumes - Montale, Amouage, So Oud - even if the raw ingredient is difficult to wear. I prefer sweet scents, which the honey/amber provides (most of the Krigler's I've tried are sweet), and it stands out from the crowd not being a rose/Oudh. It is linear - all the notes are there at the start - and it's easier to smell when you're not sniffing it directly - which is a wafty oudh trick some do. I don't know where the Oudh is from but it's very good. The price is higher than I'd like but when my sample runs out I will take the 50ml plunge. Otherwise it's lots of money spent trying to find something cheaper that smells like the Krigler and I'm not sure it exists.

This is all about subdued elegance and refinement. Nothing loud, nothing to upset the balance and harmony in the universe. Youthful and majestic in its own way. Slightly spicy and inviting... It begins as a very well-behaved boy, but then, a few hours later, there is a je ne sais quoi that develops, a tinge of naughtiness that seems to say "Come and... kiss me" (if not more)!

Very classy oud indeed. Can picture 1975, New York, young stylish HRH Hussein (nevermind politics)needing to impress the audiences... So this is how arab aristocracy smelled like back in a day. Very recommended scent for oud lovers and not. A proper perfume.

It smells like silly putty to me. Really. The kind that comes in the egg - old school. My memory of it went right back. Sorry, I guess oud isn't my thing.

So I decided to buy a sample of this recently and wow, this is jaw droppingly gorgeous! The quality of saffron and honey, mixed with the oud that is used is simply stunning! I'm truly shocked how underrated this is, let alone the brand of Krigler. Sadly, this one is way over my budget for a full bottle, so I'll cherish every spray of this great fragrance! The person below me must not have an experienced nose to understand the quality that this scent uses or had bought a bad or fake sample from ebay.

This one comes across as more of a ebanol-santanol 'sandalwood' scent that has little else to it. It's a beautiful scent, no doubt, it's just a little plain and quite linear. I'm not sure I love this one, but it is pleasant, but it's just not doing enough for me to warrant any subsequent trial. Bits of saffron and amber kinda linger around in the background, but still, not enough going on...

It is a sweet oud not very traditional of what oud is but still has a strong level sophistication. I really only wear this at formal settings, or interviews. Projection is not too over bearing but I only spray on the back of my neck because it is strong. The longevity is quite strong.

This is the Mamool, the kind of bokhoor (Arabian Incense) that you can find everywhere in the middle east. it doesn't cost as much as this fragrance costs, so instead have a ticket to the middle east and buy as plenty as you want quarter the price of this one.

This smells like grandma while she steals 446$ out of your purse or wallet. But if I paid 446$ for it I would feel obligated to love it if I couldn't resell it to make up for my losses. I not opposed to expensive perfume but this is way over priced honestly.
