Moods by Krizia Donna

Due to an unexpected decants present from lovely Lilah, I've got to know this gem. Frankly speaking - among hundreds of fragrances in my test list - Krizia Moods didn't find the place. I thought it is something on manner of Molinard Molinard, something "just-green-and-vintage-nothing-special" - quality wise First spray took my breath away, literally so. I was just sitting - and playing inhaling-exhaling game, thinking - "Am I dreaming?.. What IS that?." After certain amounts of vintage-tests even vintage lovers getting bored and often predict their reactions on certain notes. But when something REALLY surprises them - it is always a tremendous joy and excitement. Krizia Moods is, like some reviewers have mentioned - buttery, creamy. Very talented composition of drained in plant juice floral undertones on a very powdery, woody base. Chorus of all different notes that embrace each other and becoming One Whole Great Thing. Cloudy musk covers everything like a veil, it is so fairy like, not sweet though, more like spiced dry meadows. If Houbigant is fresh and day-meadows, - Moods is dusky, evening time of upcoming autumn. Very self-reflective, loving, charming. So very unusual and I do imagine everyone's life experiences will take these notes into other dimension, but it clicked with my soul and I am happy. Waiting for my full bottle to arrive, wishing everyone to be able to smell it as well, until it didn't disappear in History. *review was about EDP splash"

I received a micro mini of Moods, with less than a quarter of scent remaining. Which is a shame because Moods is beautiful!! Big opulent floral with strong lasting powers, Moods should be far more popular than it is. Italian perfumes should be more popular in general! Usually I can't tell specific flower notes in a perfume, but lily of the valley is obvious in Moods. So is an assortment of ripe fruits, I think there's some honeydew melon included. The fruit notes are strong but not overwhelming. This perfume is definitely feminine - there is a version for men, haven't tried it - but it isn't sweetly girly. Moods is intense and beautiful, finely crafted and classy. Why it isn't more popular is a mystery to me. A reviewer posted that perfumes like Moods aren't made any more, and that's sadly correct. I take a scent like Moods long before I'll try out the newest flanker from a more famous house. The beauty of this scent inspired me to buy another Krizia perfume (Krazy K.), I'm hoping it'll be as good as Moods.

While much more attention has been given in recent years to this master brand's male equivalent, Moods Uomo, deserving of its own merit, Moods is a pretty special treat itself. It delivers on its name by shifting in mood from a crisp spring-green floral with ripe melon, muguet, and watery cyclamen into a warm-sunny-yellow honeyed-sweet jasmine and buttery woodiness. A rosy outline is also discernible, flirting with each stage of its development. In its heart I am reminded of linden blossoms, especially when the trees are bathed in the glow of the June afternoon sun and the humid air is redolent with their aroma. There is even an element of nutty, golden oolong tea further into its dry down, as it winds down to a more intimate, yet persistent balmy, mossy woods. The brilliant shift from transparent to dusky makes it a standout among so much grand Italian perfumery over the decades.

First of all, I would like to thank you, my dear Fragrantica members, for that little verbal scuffle over Moods( funny, that there was so much excitement coming from people who never tried it). That really intrigued me and boosted Moods to the top on my wish list. I finally got my EDP and I think it is one of the most unique and beautiful green florals I ever tried. Very deep and complex, something like Caron would produce. It is so naturally smelling, and wearing it transports me to the oceanside with the palm trees and a light breeze filled with salty air and the scent of tropical flowers. I love how it changes in the drydown to the honey-sweet scent. Sillage- great, longevity-excellent, at least 12 hours. Definitely no associations with any age group coming from me. Just try it for yourself and don't take other's descriptions personally!

I think the perfume changed, for I got it a couple of years ago where I thought it was the same I had in my early twenty's, but it was nothing like that: it was desirable then, very soft and warm, blooming, where it is now flat and disgusting to my nose, where others think that I am offending their nose, where it's just mine! UPDATE: I think I misjudged, for I thought I used this perfume, the way I use it now, where I think now has changed, how I used it before, for I use it like cream, on my wrist as you wish, where I think it is pulse, for I pulse as I use this, as a wish as it is, it is future to me, as it was in the past, when I used it before, without knowing what was, as it was like I wished, as it was like I am; ME! Oooh... [sigh}

let's put it this way, i was sick all day laying on my bed instead of going out as i planned to, needless to say that i woke up in a very bad mood, i went through most of the bottles i have, i needed something to cheer me up and not suffocate me as i'm still not that well, 3 spritzes of this one and i'm... happy? i really don't know how but i truly am feeling better (emotion-wise), the scent is really comforting because jasmine and greens are the notes that stand out the most on my skin so i feel like i'm outdoors already ^^ LOVE IT. i had to log in and express what i'm feeling right now, everyone should really give it a try :)

My mother owned it when i was little , and a few months ago i became obsessed with it , don't know why , i guess i want to remember my wonderful mom by buying her favorite scent for myself ... My memories are 20 years old, but i remember this wedding of citrus and flowers , so 80's . In the 80's, 2 types of perfumes were trendy : Or the very opulent and strong ones , or this kind of perfume, fresh , for the natural woman . Which is Moods . Too bad it's not famous :-(

Believe me. I'm right now under a dozen of linden trees in florence. Night time. And I am Wondering who's wearing Moods by Krizia. No one. Really. Linden trees in blossoms smell like this wonderful creation. I have this fragrance. I gave to my mother as gift in the 90s more than one bottle. And maybe I'm crazy. But Florence in June surrounded by linden trees is exactly Moods. I've always thought this, and now I DECLARE it.

Krizia Moods has an unexpectedly gorgeous white Jasmine opening that reveals a jazzy musk. Not the Narciso one liner musk but like a blonde civet wrapping itself around the arms of the fragrance, like a fur wrap on a flapper listening to jazz tunes. I really enjoy the oak moss that comes to play which gives feels like a nod to Mitsouko. It's clean yet dirty and I like it :-)

This is a lovely, slightly green - spicy fragrance that is very addicting. I had it about 15 years ago, I never see it in perfume stores anymore. It has such a depth, it's like you always want to get more of this. It's gourmand and gives you a very cosy feeling, like you always want to keep it on you. Really should try to achieve a new bottle of this.

I love it. It's a flowery, soapy scent not loud but a warm and cozy soap smell. I'm terrible in detecting ingredients because my nose is not sensitive anymore. I can only smell the strongest basic notes. But what i smell is very nice and feminine. The projection and longtivity is moderate but there in a soft embrace. I enjoy this one very much. 😊😊

I purchased it and going to write a review sometimes next week. In my opinion, different scents evoke different images, memories and associations in different people, and they just try to describe their emotions, maybe not always in the most constructive way. But in any case, no need to project other's reviews onto yourself.

I just wanted to add that if you are familiar with Krizia fragrances, you know they are very unique, almost to the love or hate point. I noticed that Moods just like Crazy Krizia are not wrist sniffers for me, but I love how they project off the skin. So chances are you will either love it or hate it. Im my case- it's love!

Passionata, Thanks a lot fo your review! Informative indeed. I had Moods on my Ebay watch list....i think i will pass now, leave it as a last resort when i get too desperate for unique and different scents. With Krizia you never now every time I guess. I love Crazy Krizia, but I found Fiori disgusting on my skin.

Girls, no fighting, it's just a perfume, one in a million! LOL Actually I am looking at the awesome deal EDP. Let me get it and see what's going on. I am crazy about Crazy Krizia, no pun intended. I am 31 with a very muscular athletic figure....let's see if it suits me, whatever that means. LOL

It is EXCELLENT! It is a wonderful blend of notes, flowery but in a deep way with green but not too green. It is excellently balanced, for the intellectual women I would say.

I think the review of LaPetite really nailed it. This perfume can be very addictive. Everytime I wear it I am amazed about its influence on the wearer!! MASTERPIECE!
