Arabian Rose

So happy to see these in the database now!! Arabian Rose is one of the most gorgeous Rose fragrances EVER! It's a tiny bit of heaven in a $10 little bottle. So rich and Royal, I feel like a beautiful queen whenever I wear it! It smells like a beautiful red rose garden that's deep in color and exquisite beauty. It's a lot on the sexy side, very demure. What a little gem Kuumba Made Oils are...I'm sure every one smells deep, rich and alluring as this one. My next one to try is the myrhh and frankincense blend. Can't wait to try all these tiny treasures! (A little goes a LOOOOOONG way - this bottle will last forever; what a great value bonus!)

Rose incense. Arabian Rose is not a true to life rose soliflore. Instead it’s slightly soapy and powdery, but not like an old fashioned soap... more like incense that hasn’t been burned yet. Lovely and long lasting.

I use this oil as a base to layer other fragrance that needs more more rose. A bit uncomplicated by itself

What a captivating, symphonic rose. Arabian Rose is dewy, fresh, and green at first gust. Touches of zesty citrus, triple milled soap, potpourri powder, and most interestingly, a peppery spiciness. Deeply herbaceous, vegetal, with the stems and leaves intact; bright, dense, lush, rounded, smooth, vibrant, it's like huffing liquidized rose particulate. None of the dreaded sour vinegar off notes to be found, but it does have a touch of life-like "artichoke", if you consider it a detriment. As it develops, it takes on a darkness, the base reveals bitter, tannic, rooty, somewhat medicinal facets. I agree with the other comments, trace olibanum. If Tea Rose smells too much like a perfume to you, try this. To my nose it almost smells like a botanical rose/incense oil blend, but it's clearly a perfumed composition. An exceedingly gorgeous, clever one. I'm going to have to disagree with the comments saying it lacks complexity. It takes a lot of skill and effort to craft something that smells so deceptively simple. I'm thoroughly impressed, I can't wait to try more from Kuumba Made.

Really beautiful for the first hour, I mean seriously beautiful. It’s the closest to the Arabian cheapie Attar Rose by Ahsan. But after the first hour, the pretty pink rose softens to be an aquatic, peppery and musky scent where roses isn’t the dominant note. Then it fades, so longevity isn’t great. My favourite affordable rose oil is still Ahsan’s Attar Rose (and Orientica’s Rose Bouquet is worth a mention), and my favourite luxury rose oil is Arabian Oud’s Musk Motassalik - both very similar to this Kuumba Arabian Rose but even better.

Reminds me of Perfumer's Workshop rose but more polished and sedate. This fragrance won't enter the room before you do, but it does create a nice scent bubble around you. Good longevity too. I'm amazed that it only cost 10 bucks. It smells much more expensive than that.

I don't get the fresh roses some have mentioned, and I do find that I'm missing that, but it is a pleasant scent. For me, it is powdery and clean the whole way through; I agree with the commenter who likened it to unlit incense. I find that worn on its own, about an hour into weartime I'm left with the impression of a gently rose-scented baby powder. While it's not exactly to my usual taste, I still wear and enjoy it, especially in combination with KM Amber Paste/Arabian Sandalwood. I also think this, like many KM products is an incredible value.

Was my signature scent for about 3 years. The longevity is fair on my skin, about 5 hours. I’ve repurchased this several times.

I love rose perfumes and perfume oils, but I did not like this one at all. It's a very sweet and powdery rose, not as green as I like them or as dark red as I like them. The sillage and longevity were strong, I could smell it wafting off of me and it stuck around for hours - the quality of Kuumba Made oils are amazing. This reminded me a lot of the rubbery dry down of Delina's rose and incense actually, which I also don't like. I gave this to my sister who does really like it so I think it was just a personal issue with my skin chemistry.

I enjoy this. It's not, by any means *complex*. Not at all. This is pretty much a soliflore fragrance. It starts out with something that is rosey, citrus-y, and green but not too much beings those notes becomes very sour and bitter with my skin chemistry. It's there to keep the rose fresh rather than smelling wilted. Once it works in with my chemistry, it starts to get a little deeper in depth, like a woodsy effect. It stays that way for a few hours before becoming soapy and musky, and then remain that way for the rest of the duration. From beginning to end, this lasts all day. May need to freshen up some going into evening. Sillage is more intimate, but that may be how I'm applying it too. This can be strong so I tend to go lightly with it. I like to wear this straight out of the shower on weekends around the house, or running errands. It's a $10 bottle of rose scent that is perfect for just that, nothing special. It will last for years because a little goes a long way. Easy to wear and also easy to layer as well. Because of that, it's a great value for the money.

Currently cleaning out my perfume closet à la Marie Kondo. It's always hard throwing out fragrances because they bring you right back to a certain time in your life, which is why I'm writing this review. I want to remember how this scent made me feel (Part 3). I bought this bottle from the Kuumba Made website, when I was teaching English abroad and got into a perfume-oil phase. I remember receving the box of four small bottles in the mail and being excited to open it because I was in a strange town with no real friends, and this reminded me of the bigger world. I remember wearing this once to class and feeling peaceful. It is a sweet, dusty rose -- not dark or heavy; in fact, I detect an element of brightness to it. It makes me think of the rose-flavoured Anis de Flavigny candies I bought in France, and would make a great scent for perfumed letters, hair oil, or paper soap. Thank you, Arabian Rose, for your service. Perhaps I will not bid farewell just yet!

Put a little dab from the tester on my hand at the grocery then proceeded to do my shopping; instantly surrounded by a strong rose scented cloud that filled my car and persists after 3 handwashings. Definitely a spicy, citrusy tea rose. The rose is very similar to Perfumers Workshop, but slightly more fruity and round. Extremely authentic. Very strong. Not sure about longevity because I’m going to shower and go to bed, but suspect this is a beast all around. Tempted to buy this but it nearly gave me a headache (and I adore the scent of roses) so it kind of scares me - if I do, I would likely wear a dab behind my knees rather than too close to my face, to keep it manageable. Beautiful scent for anyone wanting a strong, true rose scent for very little money.

I have been quite impressed with the quality of these oils. Way better than Auric Blends! Kuumba Made Arabian Rose is VERY reminiscent of Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose, but with the advantage of being able to be worn much closer to the skin. Arabian Rose also isn't *quite* as sharp and green as Tea Rose-- an improvement in my book! It's basically a fresh, fleshy, deep red rose with a slight citrus/lemony overlay on first application. Dries down to a soothing rosewater-and-glycerin scent It's rose-rose-rose without being the least bit sour or old-fashioned. Great longevity, too!

At last, a rose I can wear! It reminds me of "Renaissance Rose" oil that I've bought at a Renaissance Festival. This is a linear, one-note fragrance that layers beautifully with KM Arabian Sandalwood. I imagine it would layer well with their Amber Paste also. Or with any of their other oils. It lasts a good 3 hours which is great for an oil, and projects for about 30 minutes before settling into a skin scent. I love it!

This is a surprisingly strong rosebud scent. It literally smells like a fresh red rosebud to me. It develops to become slightly powdery and slightly incensy. I might try layering this with other fragrances to punch up the rose aspect. I can see this becoming a love.

This smells like a rose tea to me, as it's not quite dewy/fresh but it's also not super old lady rose either. It's a little bitter, rosy, and delicious. I layer it with Amber Paste (also from Kuumba) or with any of the Delina fragrances!

Rosa x damascena soliflore, opulent & heady. A tiny dab lasts for hours & hours on my skin. Too strong for everyday wear for me, but it's a garden I like to visit occasionally.

Lots of references to layering with KM’s Amber Paste. Fantastic advice! Smells wonderful in tandem.
