Persian Garden

I’ve loved this and had many rollerballs since I first smelled it at a health food store in like 2008. I later smelled Nemat Amber and love that as well, and sometimes wear it. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s very similarly cozy and clean. I used to roll it all over my dryer balls in hopes that my laundry would come out smelling like it, but that never really worked. It definitely has somewhat of a clean laundry vibe, which I love. It’s just so subtle and perfect. On my deep and long fragrance journey I nearly forgot about this one. Then I was reading reviews for faith bliss oil and seeing comparisons to this and Nemat and pulled out my old rollerball and have been wearing Persian garden for several days. I am hooked again and can’t stop. It’s like coming home. It’s very hard to describe, and I’m not even sure I get any florals from it. It’s clean, innocent, cozy, sweet skin. I know it’s very light, but I still get whiffs of it throughout the day, and ultimately the reason I wear perfume is for more intimate experiences. Impressions are not made by simply smelling interesting in public. It’s the experience that goes with it. Intimate conversations and romantic encounters are the times I’ve fallen in love with fragrances the most. Not necessarily perfume, but the smell of the person. Persian garden is a personal scent that doesn’t smell like a perfume, but will linger in the minds of those with whom you’ve been intimate, and leave them longing for more.

Something about this is so addictive, it lures you in as opposed to leaping out and snagging your nose's attention. Immediate impression was that this smells just like a creamy lotion from the 90s-early 2000s, but I truly mean this in the best way, it isn't dated at all. It's really a timeless soft, sweetened musky floral. It smells like clean clothes, clean skin, and very feminine body chemistry. Yes...you read that correctly and that's how I intended it; it smells like a clean woman's natural skin. It smells like actual wildflowers in nature. The sun heated aroma of heather, mountain ash or something not overtly *floral* or notably fragrant, but subtle flowers or shrubs outdoors in the summer air. It's actually very difficult to explain. This is really difficult to explain or express, and it's a true "skin scent" that needs to be smelled to be understood. Ultimately reviews are all subjective, and spoken language always fails to accurately describe scents, but in this case, it truly doesn't do this blend justice whatsoever. I don't think I've ever struggled so much to review something. But really, pick up a roller ball or some body oil, this is LOVELY. It makes me feel beautiful and conjures up many phantasic images of outdoor flowerscapes 🥰 It doesn't last long at all, but it's forgivable on the grounds of it's affordability, and because of it's beauty.

If quartz warmed by the sun had a scent, this would be it. A white amber scent similar to Love by Auric Blends and Nemat's Amber. I've also seen it mentioned on a random blog that it smells like Ambre Blend's Amber Essence, which is a lot more expensive than Persian Garden. I wear this a lot when it gets hot (the town in San Diego I currently live in gets blazing hot every summer) and when I want to smell shower fresh, but not necessarily perfume-y. This would probably be a good scent for students and nurses. Even though it's a down to earth type of scent, I feel like it's still evocative enough to not be boring. I love it for that reason. Edit: I have tried Ambre Blends and it smells just like all the other white ambers out there, except a tad bit earthier at the beginning. Rosie by Rosie Jane is also a white amber mix. Save your money and just go for the cheaper ones though. They're all pretty much identical in scent, and it seems there is a new gimmick to rob people of their money with these "special" white amber blends. Nope. It's all just...white amber.

Really lovely, inexpensive, quality smelling and made scent. Kuumba Made does a great job overall, with only very few of their wide range smelling synthetic. This is one of those that I don't smell too many florals, rather just white musk, kind of like Jovan but with more of a hint of green, wet earth (in it's freshest form, never stale). I would also describe it as ethereal. I've tried quite a few of KM oils, and I like many of them, but I LOVE this one. It stood out among many to me. Some people seem to find sillage to be good and for others around to catch the scent but I've found only I can smell it unless I'm giving someone a hug or very close. Likewise, I can only smell it if my arms are near my face or to smell my wrists. Lasting power is fair, lower with this one than some of their others on me. It only lasts about 3 hours before having to reapply. But again, it's inexpensive, and the roll ons really easy and portable. Overall, I'd say the best KM fragrance as well as probably the most universal.

I love Persian Garden. I had a small rollerball for about 8 years that I started wearing again frequently enough that it finally ran out. I craved it so much I went ahead and bought the 4oz. offering on Kuumba's site. When I received it, I was disappointed that I couldn't really smell anything. Then I remembered the age of my rollerball and the amount of time it must have taken to mature into its final form. I reached out to Kuumba, and they actually recommended that I leave my oils in the sunlight to help the fragrance develop even faster, if I like. I've had my new bottles for over a month now, and the aroma has significantly deepened. Come to think of it, all my fragrance oils have just gotten better and more pronounced with age and stored however, really. This is a scent that I unfortunately can go nose-blind to, but later in the day, someone is sure to stop and tell me how good I smell. An unoffending winner that only gets better with time.

Persian Garden often smells like nothing on the roller, but secretly blooms into a prismatic, whispery, dewy floral quasi-musk if you lend it some warmth. Typically a skin scent, but performs like a guardian angel in humid weather. I once wore it during the most muggy, swampy, hot as shit week of July in NYC and it gently defended my personal bubble from the stench of warmed garbage juice and BO without any nauseous headache-y incidents to myself (as I am oft prone to under those conditions) or those around me. It has a diffused, peekaboo quality, and the ambiguity of both the floral and musk notes ensure that it's never forward enough to offend (at the expense of sometimes being too stealthy for compliments). I wish I knew what exactly these so-called "exotic floral notes" were, so I could hunt them down in other forms out of fear of this indie gem disappearing off the shelves of Sprouts one day. This is a magical fragrance oil! Tried this as a suggested dupe for Glossier’s You. It’s much lighter, but I can see from the reviews that it shares the same cypher-esque quality of being completely different on each person. On me, the elements that come forward depend on the humidity: on dry days I smell it as more floral, on humid days, it smells more earthy and green. No matter what, it turns musk-heavy. The sillage is ghostlike, coming in waves, it seems. Just when I think it’s worn off, it asserts itself. And it lasts for well over 24 hours! I like to use it with JHAG’s Not A Perfume, as they sort of amplify each other. I also use it as a base for Derek Lam’s Blackout perfume stick (keeps it from going too peppery on me). Somehow, this inexpensive little bottle has become the one I come back to again and again. Right before I go to sleep, I dab a little on my wrists and collarbone. It’s very comforting.

I have a soft spot for 70s perfumes and this smells like a 70s perfume. When I first smelt this, I was so excited, it was like meeting an old friend. As a child my favourite teacher in school smelled like this and I loved the smell of her. I thought she smelled of a lovely jelly! Many years later as a teenager when my perfume fascination was just beginning, I realised that Miss Phillips had been wearing Coty Just Musk ( can't find it on here). I wore Just musk and wild musk frequently through my teenage years. Persian musk is very reminiscent of these fragrances. It is a beautiful, light bright perfume made even lovelier to me by its ability to evoke happy memories ( and its affordability). The oil is gorgeous too and can used as a base to many musk fragrances such as TF velvet orchid and Prada ambre. It wears close to the skin but comes through stronger when it is warm.

Kuumba Made oils are so nice, it's crazy I took so long to finally buy this one. I'm Persian so the name of the oil really influenced my buying it because to be honest, if you only smell the perfume from the bottle and don't put it on your skin then you really don't get the full effect of the perfume. I really wouldn't call this a strict floral as it does not give the effect of a heavy garden at all (a Persian garden to me is covered in roses, ranunculus, and tulips), instead this is more of a clean and watery musk scent similar to Nemat's Amber perfume oil with a soft mixed floral dry down later on. This isn't as peppery as Glossier's You, but is similar to it as it's the same kind of skin scent perfume. It doesn't project as much as the others, but it's still beautiful and I can smell it on myself for hours. I love mixing this with Egyptian Musk from the same line.

This is my favorite scent and my Husband absolutely loves it on me. People tell me how good I smell all the time. I've never received so much scent attention in my entire life. As a matter of fact, friends and family have loved it so much, they have grabbed my wrists to keep smelling it, and some have even grabbed my shoulders pulling me closer to smell it better. It's as though those who like it, are actually attracted to it in some way. Strangers comment on it as well with the same attracted demeanor without invading my space. It seems there are people like what I just described, or the other extreme of people who cannot smell it at all. It's very odd. My signature scent is Persian Garden combined with Byredo Gypsy Water, which smells nothing like Persian Garden in my opinion even though I've seen the reference several times.

I've had this in rollerball form for a few years. Mine has the updated watercolor label with no gold illustration on it but a gold cap. It's a really inoffensive, floral-centric perfume oil. Tropical flowers, to be as precise as I can. It hints at champaca and ylang-ylang without the headache or sharpness those can often give to sensitive wearers. Think of cartoon or kawaii versions of those flowers. Persian Garden feels like a pastel rainbow but mainly peach and yellow flowers, dripping with nectar but not syrupy sweet. Seems like it would do well in hot humidity but it doesn't last long then, or maybe gets overpowered by the heaviness of the air. I wear it on sunny, dry days. I guess you could say it's a bit musky but I can't pick up much due to anosmia. I pair it with Egyptian Musk for a fluffy cloud of fresh, good vibes.

Now this is my absolute favorite scent by Kuumba Made. I don't pick up much floral in this, more of a clean skin type of scent. I adore this. It's hard to explain how this one smells or even just how much I love it, but it smells like your skin just better. This may sound strange, but some note in this smells somewhat like my cats fur which made sense reading all the reviews saying they picked up animalistic notes in this. The "Exotic Floral Notes" don't exactly do this blend justice, floral isn't how I would describe this scent at all. Clean, fresh, sweet, musky, a classic. My hopes weren't that high when I blind bought this, but oohh I love this perfume so much. This is what I smell in my head when I bury my nose into my boyfriend. Highly recommend, even for a blind buy.

I have worn this for 6 years and have received so many compliments. It used to be my signature scent and I could never get enough of it’s musky, warm, subtly sweet fragrance. However, in around 2016, the the bottle I purchased was so very weak smelling that I was using more and more to create the same effect. I’ve since switched to Persian Star and, while it’s a slight bump up in its concentration of fragrance (I can at least smell the stuff), it’s not enough to get noticed. I do wish it were stronger, and hope that Kuumba Made listens to feedback enough to reconsider the formulation of their absolute best fragrance. In the meantime, I’m going to try to find a stronger replacement. Looking at Nemat’s Amber Oil, as recommended, as well as an Arabic white musk.

Years ago, I followed and interrupted an unsmiling woman along the aisles of a store because I just HAD to know what she was wearing. She immediately smiled, let down her guard, and told me to head to the nearest Whole Foods to buy a bottle of Persian Garden for $10. This smells ethereally fresh, smoothly and softly clean (as opposed to harsh and detergent-like or overly soapy), and gorgeously floral. This is my comfort scent- very easy to wear, very agreeable, but (at least on me) always creates a lovely aura that garners compliments and questions. On me, it wears like many of the Tocca fragrances. For some reason, my skin eats up powdery, soapy, and most fruity notes instantly but these particular florals somehow amplify.

Whatever “exotic floral notes” are in this, they are amazing. I showed this to my sister and based on her reaction ended up giving her the bottle, and the next day she wanted to know where I got it, because a friend of hers was hooked. It’s that pretty. I would describe it as a very very white clear musk with an unidentifiable floral tinge. A watery musk. Very similar to the much more expensive Riddle Oil Original. The performance is also great. EDIT TO ADD: and now my sister reports that her coworker has demanded to know what perfume she's wearing, and now she regrets telling her because she won't be the only one at work smelling so beautiful... be prepared to guard the secret carefully if you wear this...

All I can say is WOW. It’s beautiful and smells very similar to Glossier You. When I first got this, I could detect it but barely. I maybe went about 3 months without reaching for it when I finally decided to wear it again and I kept thinking “what is this beautiful smell? I know I didn’t put glossier you on!!?” And then I had the AHAA moment-with fragrance oils, it really does take a bit of time for them to macerate if that’s the correct word. It’s the most beautiful smell and now I’m going to be laying it with glossier, sonic flower by room 1015 and Not A Perfume. Longevity is moderate, there is sillage but barely, hence why layering this with similar smelling fragrances will be a must!!!

I, too have bought bottles and bottles of Kuumba Made Persian Garden only to have it smell like nothing at all. I then clued in that the samples I was using at Wh Foods that had a strong scent were left open on the shelf for who knows how many months etc. So I took a bottle, placed it in a blazing sunny window with the lid off for months and months to see what would happen. It worked. The scent aged and bloomed wonderfully. I wish the company would put more scent in the bottle tho. Same exact no smell as Nemat Amber. If you like this, Juliette Has A Gun Not A Perfume is pretty much the same thing. Persian Garden is pretty much one of my top scents of all time.

the skin scent of my dreams. it's like musky, floral laundry; it's like the cleanest skin ever, but there's something very alluring lurking in the background. I have the rollerball, and when I sniffed it (I know, a no-no) I was disappointed not to smell anything at all. it really takes the heat of your skin to activate it and create a totally-unique scent to you. lasts for a really really long time, but at the expense of projection. excellent for layering, but also really pretty as a no-perfume type scent, like you naturally just smell amazing. for the cost, it really can't be beat!

I'm addicted to this fragrance and think it's perfectly unisex. I'm kind of a clean hippie kind of guy and like to smell fresh and natural, and Persian Garden works great on my skin. I like to layer it with Kuumba Made's Egyptian Musk as well. It pretty much layers well with everything I have. On the comparisons to Nemat Amber Oil, it is similar in that it's a skin scent but it's more floral than Nemat, which has a bit of spice to it. They're both great but they're not exactly the same scent as some have suggested.

I love this scent so much. This is the only scent I can wear at nighttime to bed. It’s cozy, clean, lingering like a soft pillow to lie down on. Skin scent that feels like your own true skin. I could not live without it, it reminds me of family and good night sleep. For many years I searched for at scent similar but with more projection because I loved it so much. But then I found out the true magic in this scent is actually its lack of projection. It is in its lingering shimmer of coziness the magic happens.
