I'd been using Herrod and the decant was getting low, I was looking at buying a full bottle but the price tag kept getting in the way and in the mean time I decided to grab a few samples of Kyse new lot and this little beauty was one of my favorite to sample. It was a affordable alternative that I can live with both scent wise and financialy, I'm not saying this smells exactly like Herrod btw, it probably smells more like Tobacco Vanille X Odori when being compared, but what I really love about J is it reminds me of so many of my favorite tobacco scents, like Tabac Rouge, 1821, Tobacco Vanille, Franc Brocklet, Herrod, Odori, Tabac Aurea, all the ones I love and like rammed into one cute, affordable 60ml bottle, like I said not a clone of them, but the same genre! it's hard not to love J for that reason and naturally I had to have a bottle. Great for tobacco scent lovers who want a Kyse in your collection and people looking for a affordable tobacco experience . Love ❤ Update, of the five new ones I sampled this is the longest lasting, I could smell this one the next day and love the gourmand drydown that is familiar with the Kyse/by Terri perfumes. Highly recommend.

Such a good fragrance from Kyse. I first tried J when it launched, as Terri included a sample of this with my order. Some years later, my best friend mentioned that she loved Tobacco Vanille but couldn't afford it. I got her a bottle of this for her birthday instead, and I couldn't help but get myself a bottle as well since I remembered I liked the scent. I've been wearing it every fall for the past four years, and it's just so perfect. Perfect tobacco and vanilla scent. It's not Tobacco Vanille, but that's fine - it's beautiful in its own right. I really smell the oud in here. Smoky, deep, sweet, this smells like fall and crunching leaves to me. Lasts so well and is so strong. If you're not into gourmands, this is still one from Kyse that I would try. Smells way more expensive than it is. I'm sad I've finished my bottle.

There are not that many Kyse scents that are loves for me but J is one of those few. Tobacco and oud hit you between the eyes on the opening then you start to pick up the sweetness and vanilla behind them. The sweetness is not that much so fellas it's definitely one you can wear with ease. There is almost an animalic element present as well. Over time the sweetness fades a touch and the oud/tobacco dominate. It smells almost masculine at this stage. It's very warm and cosy. I can see why folk speak of campfires. It closes smelling very much like a campfire. It takes me back to my girl guide days. Good longevity and moderate sillage. It smells luxurious like a Xerjoff fragrance. A definite winner from Terri.

I thought my first try from Kyse (Crema di Lime e Cognac) was pretty nice but I'm really quite taken with J. Categorically, mixing the dark and the sweet, it's right up my alley, but the execution is here is simply superb. J blends the darker elements of tobacco and oud with vanilla, the sweetest note, as well as some cedar in the background to help smooth things over. It reminds me of the smoke and wood of a campfire mixed with cigars and sweet treats. Performance is quite strong---heavy projection and very strong longevity. At $62 for 60ml this is one of the easiest decisions to buy, and I'll look forward to adding this to my collection. 8 out of 10

I got a sample of this when I ordered a bottle of Douceur Brulee and I ordered a bottle of this imidiatly! I love this one..you are gonna get this smokey, tobacco, vanilla smell.When I got this sample my wife said that smells so good it smells smokey.I would have to say its unisex but may lean a little towards the masculine side but my wife is so picky about fragrances and she really likes this one and wanted some for herself so for that reaseason I would have to say its unisex.When I go to church its dark and foggy its the atmosphere that they create and I love wearing this one to church because it fits thats atmosphere perfectly!

This smells very niche. I love this perfume! I've really enjoyed everything I've tried from kyse so far and this is one of my favorites. I think it smells like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille but not as sweet, the oud cuts through some of the sweet. After 15 minutes it smells like a less syrupy Olympic Orchids cafe'v. Longevity and sillage are both moderate. This perfume feels good when i spray it on, it feels silky and moisturizing. I love it.

I've come back to say, This was so nice I decided to get the man of the house a bottle in hope he would wear it often. Well He loves it and every day when he puts it on I say "wow you smell amazing, what ones that?" and he sais 'The Kyses! He hasn't worn any other fragrance since I gave him J for Christmas :)

One of my faves from the house. Not as gourmand as the others. This is NOT an oud fragrance. In the top it is allllll tobacco and a dry leaf tobacco to me, not pipe tobacco with a very dry cocoa that must be the vanilla and then a dry cedar rises in the middle. The vanilla starts to come through more in the base, which turns it a bit more pipe tob.

J is a gender bender along the lines of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. An ashy tobacco and oud development alongside vanilla & cedar. I have tried both, the TF Tobacco Vanille and this one, and as they are not exactly the same of course, I like this one better with the addition of oud to give it some complexity and depth. A winner.

This is the first of hers that I have to say I don't like. It burns my nose and I get a headache. I think this would really appeal to guys.

Whoever says no Oud in this is crazy.. You can't compare it to anything else and as my bottle has matured and gone darker the better it becomes. I've tried a lot of the Arabic cheaper oud fragrances and Kyse is far superior in strength and quality. Wear this in cooler weather only. Definitely an acquired taste and the vanilla adds a little sweetness but not too much.. Unisex but leaning on the masculine side.. Personally it gets a 9 out of 10 from me for it's quality,uniqueness and lasting power!

This is different than Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. It is still a very beautiful tobacco and vanilla scent. Very cozy, smells kind of similar to By The Fireplace by Maison Margiela. Kind of woody and deep, sultry. Perfect for the colder seasons.
