Rose Muscade

This perfume is poetry... how could I describe such a beautiful fragrance?. A splendid citric opening throws a red carpet for the perfect classic rose. The base woody notes and hint of vanilla wrap it up exquisitely. This fragrance is luminous, warm, alluring, enveloping and delicious. I have received many compliments from men and women. As a lover of rose fragrances, this is my TOP 1. This frag is part of the ‘Rose Collection’, which includes: Rose-Cannelle (Rose-Cinnamon), Rose-Cardamom and Rose-Muscade (Rose-Nutmeg), my favourite is the latter. This is lovely. A fresh, sweet, natural rose, hint of spice from the nutmeg, gets earthier as it dries like it's snuggling down, getting comfy, bedding in. Beautiful. Lasted over eight hours.

A near-perfect fresh garden rose. Simple. A little lemon for brightness. Some nutmeg for texture but not much. Freshness comes from the vetiver blended with aldehydic amberwood, but it isn't intrusively synthetic. This is a delightfully light and pretty, yet sensual rose. Rose Muscade conjures up an authentic damask rose that thickens as it warms, and is made for spring and summer days. 2 hours at moderate projection before becoming a woody, slightly synthetic skin-scent, though it should be said my skin devours rose. This one surprised me with how polished it was. Lovely.

I like this the best of the 3 rose perfumes they do. It is the sweetest, with a very pleasant citrus opening and nutmeg emerges after that. However it is expensive and I can’t justify buying another rose fragrance. I will stick with my much loved Rose and Dragon and Rosarine.

Okay, so I blind bought this perfume after reading a load of positive reviews. For the context - I love rose. However, this one should be called nutmeg with rose, not the other way round. I feel the spices far more than the rose. Don't get me wrong, the rose itself is beautiful, sweet, rich, similar to the one used in carmina or delina. However, the spice mix with nutmeg in its heart, is a bit pungent. Even dirty. Someone described this perfume as 'beauty and the beast'. This would be the perfect name for this fragrance. I wish the spices were less sharp. To me they are a bit headache inducing, but I think it can be layered with other rose scents beautifully. Also, this perfume is most similar to Dom Rosa from liquides imaginaries. Except this one does not have that celery note. So if you like spicy, dirty rose, than this one is for you.
