Vicolo Del Sellaio

Vicolo del Sellaio Perfumer: Carlo Ribero First of all, Fragrantica makes a wrong classification for this one. Vicolo del Sellaio or Saddler's Lane is not a feminine scent AT ALL. As the name suggests, Saddler's Lane, it is a very masculine scent, much like Loggia dei Mercanti, it is a leather scent through and through. Of course woman can pull this off as well. Medium silage but great longevity. When I smell this I'm reminded of a barn in rural Australia where I saw a skillful craftsman making boots from animal skin. Yes, it has the same feeling with Baudelaire from Byredo. Hence, for me this is the youngest brother in the family of La Collina Toscana EDP, someone who is blessed with handsome face but really don't care about it. He is rugged, nature loving, and love to spend his free time riding horse to the hills, and sleep there for hours, and return home just about the time for dinner (think about Chris Hemsworth).

Why Fragrantica classifies this scent as a feminine? It is the only perfume of the house La Collina Toscana, exclusively masculine! Wonderful, fresh, aromatic, herbal and deep. I like it so much and I could use it but I prefer to smell it on the neck of my lover!

Apertura amara dovuta allo zafferano e personalmente spettacolare, se fosse così fino in fondo sarebbe la mia fragranza preferità. Purtroppo il mix incenso-pelle ci guidano in un vicolo cieco perchè, tradisce la sua natura speziata-fumosa con un lampone esageratamente forte ed opulento,che rende la fragranza dolce e sdegnosa, peccato. Tutto sommato fragranza unica e da provare, ed alcuni miei amici che la possiedono sono letteralmente innamorati di questo prodotto. Profumo 7/10 Longevità 10/10 Sillage 10/10

A beautiful almost skinclose scent. I would call it uni-sex - I think its a great perfum for both men and women. On my skin I get a soft and warm mix of Leather, Saffron, Incense & Vanilla. No flowernotes at all, but I love the smell. Longlasting and this is a parfum that I call a teaser, its there with small wiffs around you and next person have to hug or stand really close to get a wiff too. =) En jättefin och nästan hudnära doft. Jag anser att den är uni-sex, en perfekt doft för både kvinnor och män. På min hud får jag en mjuk och varm mix av Läder, Saffran, Rökelse & Vanilj. Inga blomnoter alls, men jag älskar doften. Håller länge på huden och detta är vad jag säger - en retsticka, en doft som är nära och ger små doftpuffar under lång tid. Nästa person får krama dig eller stå riktigt nära för att få en förnimelse av doften. En doft som gör att nästa person tar ett djupt andetag genom näsan för att känna den.. =)

I do not see him on a woman at all. Absolutely masculine, in my opinion it is very similar to the male interlude with opacity (incense) and leather. But in this fragrance there is a breath of fresh air, unlike Ford and Amouage. Suitable for strong spirits with steel nerves Men. Why is stated as a woman, for me a big mystery.
