As per La Curie's website: "In ancient times, Labdanum resin was collected by combing the beards and thighs of goats and sheep that had grazed on Cistus shrubs." Yup, I can definitely see that. Linear smell of a goat (probably a combo of naturally harvested labdanum, boosted by cumin). Extremely interesting as a piece of art in the animalic department, but hardly wearable. Interesting....

There’s something sinister about this fragrance. When I first smelled it I got a sinking feeling in my stomach, like I just walked into somewhere where I can’t explain why, but I know horrible things happen there. It gives some church vibes that I appreciate, but it also gives hospital waiting room, waiting to hear if someone you love is ok but you know the answer. To me it’s if dread was a fragrance, but, that could just be me. I appreciate how interesting it is to experience it, it’s like experiencing art that makes you deeply uncomfortable but you also respect. I’m not mad at it, it’s an experience to smell. Interesting is definitely the best word for it.
