The tuberose is one of the favorite flowers for Hawaiian leis. The scientific name of this lovely flower is the Polianthes tuberosa, and the Hawaiian name is kupaloke. The Hawaiian tuberose is small and white and has a luminescence and fragrance that makes it a renowned blossom. Kupaloke in it's essence has a flash of shimmering tones of a bitter bergamot, a milky, gasoline, leather nuanced tuberose (reminiscent of Dior's Fahrenheit and Serge Lutens Tuberose Criminalle) with shadows of a burning, medicinal lavender and a earthy, woody nagarmotha. I get the Bergamot, Tuberose, Nagarmotha and Lavender, it opens up with a bright, juicy bergamot and a creamy, pulsating tuberose, the bergamot is mild, the tuberose is strong. After twenty minutes the bergamot dissipates, the tuberose softens, in comes a smoky, spicy, nagarmotha, and a clean, licorice tinged lavender, the nagarmotha is mild, the lavender is soft. Kupaloke is a light. aromatic, earthiness, engaging, spiciness, burrowing white florals, smoky and woody nuances, unisex, it leans more feminine Floral fragrance This would be wonderful in the Spring and Summer, I get average projection and average longevity, this is another lovely fragrance from La Fleur by Livvy 4/5 Stars . This is a badass tuberose! The normally ultra feminine, even cloying, quality of the tuberose has been turned on it's head by the rubber-like scent of what I believe comes from the lavender and Cyprioll oil. With the Hennessy cognac and vodka base it has a vampy sophistication - wear it to a party and you will own the room. The bergamot and tropical and earthy notes blend in genius harmony. I find it very exciting and unique - it'd make the perfect signature scent. Personally, I like to wear it when I'm feeling a little subversive ;-)
