About That Night

This exquisite nectar smells to me like a modern vintage. I imagine Queen Rania of Jordan could smell like this. So elegant, clean yet powerful - I can see myself wearing it day to night feeling effortlessly perfect. I can’t imagine a man wearing this fragrance, too pretty in many ways. Longevity is outstanding, while projection and sillage are noticeable but inoffensive - just right.

About That Night is citrus-led floral with an earthy drydown, pleasant and nicely composed, high-quality and inoffensive. While the scent itself is unisex, the bottle and brand is probably too feminine to truly be marketed to men. ATN opens with a nice lavender note, making for a slightly fougère opening, but it is fleeting, quickly becoming citrusy. It is followed by orange blossom, which bridges the gap from the citrus opening to the powdery, polleny yellow florals of the heart. Osmanthus rules here, but clean jasmine rounds it out, with iris adding to the powderiness. Rose follows as it dries down, powdery yet transparent. It is joined by earthy patchouli and soft woody notes, getting increasingly mossy as it dries down. There is a hint of sweet amber evident as it fades, complementing the mossy chypre accord beautifully. It fades to a mossy-amber skin scent. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. Like the rest of La Perla's new haute parfumerie line, it is wearable and high-quality, yet somehow unmemorable, despite the nice yellow floral-chypre accord. Decent scent regardless. 4/5.

I wanted a fougere which I think of as a cloud of green, moss, and lavender freshness, but if that is there, it doesn't last. There are these yellow flowers throughout (and over top of the other stuff that I wish I could smell more fully) and they aren't offensive, but it just doesn't satisfy me. I like it, but don't love it like some others I've tried in this La Perla Haute collection.

Day 2 of testing this I'm getting more lavender today unfortunately. Day one I got more orange blossom. This went from an absolute love to just okay for me. Vibes with si fiori but fabric softener lavender instead of black currant. Soft fluffy feminine. I'd probably wear this as a bedtime scent tbh

Rich lavendery citrus with earthy patchouli. Nice, but not something I could get attached to.

More masculine leaning version of YSL Libre. Not as pretty though, it’s too heavy.

I love Libre, but I do not like this one. More lavender, more itchy Musk-Patchouli and heavier amber. Libre is more balanced. This one is bit more masculine and might be different on men's skin. The review of the collection is already on my YouTube Dina_France

This honestly is a very sexy fragrance. It smells ambery and warm. The notes I clock the most are vanilla and jasmine. It's not a scent that I would normally gravitate to but it really is quite intoxicating and smells expensive.

Smells like if someone mixed about seven parts generic women's perfume with three parts generic men's cologne. A feminine leaning unisex scent is often my vibe, but this is just boring.

For some reason, this smells like tamarind on me. That’s great but then I get this slight hint of a sour note, borderline like feet. Interesting composition but not for me.

This is absolutely lovely. And absolutely just like YSL libre intense.

Save your money and get the YSL libre one. Literally the same.
