Cabana

In a nutshell this smells identical to Cuba Gold pretty much (I’d say 90%) with some very subtle differences. The differences being Cabana is slightly more airy where Cuba gold has more vanilla in the base. For those that haven’t smelled Cuba Gold. Cabana is a fresh,warm,comforting smell but also has some richness to it ! Almost reminiscent to a lavender/vanilla candle . This to me is a relaxing but also appealing scent and I’m always surprised as both Cuba Gold and Cabana both get very good compliments in my world and in fact better than most niche scents ! Performance is also where Cuba Gold is slightly better as it has very noticeable projection where Cabana has average projection and Cuba Gold also lasts 8-12 hours whereas Cabana lasts 6-8 hours. Overall rating -7.5 out of 10 ! Very lovely smell that gets compliments,is pleasing and is very well priced

Absolute gem of a fragrance. It’s a scent that feels both luxurious and inviting. Very warm and cozy but also fresh at the same time, despite the main notes being vanilla, lavender and I'd also say cinnamon. Have gotten only positive feedback on it while wearing it (15+ people). Only downside is the longevity. I notice it wearing down in about 2 hours. Strongly recommended!

This is my dad's and my brother's signature scent :) It is so sweet, so nice and not overwhelming at all. It is very similar to le Male by JPG and Blue Jeans by Versace. It is mostly a mix of lavander, cinnamon and vanilla, slightly cola-like. I just adooore it, it is one of my favourite men scents and it is also incredibly cheap as well!

I got this as a replacement for my beloved Le Male which crashed and spilled out.... it's indeed almost identical butthe longevity is a joke. The sillage is surprisingly good in the first few minutes though. I HATE the bottle though - has nothing to do with the scent or the OG. I might refill the juice in the original bottle 🔜

Greetings everyone, I have tried this cologne in a local supermarket. It costs around 6-7 EUR in Europe and is made in Poland. La Rive is a Polish cosmetics company mostly specializing in production of various "dupes" and "clones" of well known brands. This is a direct clone of Le Male. Sweet vanilla scents are easier to reproduce, that is the case with Le Male and One Million. But it is also very funny that the name of this frag is semantically similar to that of Cuba Gold, while the bottle itself reminds us of Whisky Original frag. Whisky Original and Cuba Gold are fragrances that were made before Le Male. This frag, surprisingly has some dignity. La Rive has failed miserably with some of their clones, however they managed to replicate the feeling of the three fragrances I have mentioned earlier. I can actually recommend this as a substitute for Le Male, as it is very close to Cuba Gold, yet a bit more sweeter and sugary. Verdict 8/10 in Cheapie category. It is not the best clone of Le Male in the market, but you cannot get a better dupe for this price. Original Le Male has better projection/longevity and is more fresh, rather than sweet in the background. Minty I would say. Cuba Gold is very similar to this frag, frankly speaking I would have trouble telling which one is which. It is also a bit more expensive than La Rive frag we have in mind. Evaflor Whisky is a bit more "rough" than any of the frags previously mentioned and is sometimes sold for almost exactly the same price as Cabana. Take your pick. regards, AJ

Sweet cinnamon-cardamom scent. Did a quick sniff of my wrist at the store and it was like a darker, woodier, mildly herbal version of Cash, another men's fragrance from La Rive. Like with a lot of La Rive perfumes, it doesn't carry very far and fades away in approximately two hours or so, but that's just my perception. Surprisingly stylish for a total cheapo, maybe a fit for a young bloke getting his first perfume to try out, but doesn't want any overt sweetness or a too sporty harsh feel. That's not to say this is somehow exclusively masculine or uncarriable by ladies. Pleasant, spicy vanilla reminiscent of some wood scents. It's pretty nice. Inoffensive without being woefully boring. This is like Cash's slightly more thoughtful, mature and quieter brother. Someone said barbershop and I agree.

The scent is very, very warm and sweet, perfect for winter time. In case of setting, I'd say it's mostly a night-time scent, good for clubbing. Slightly seductive, although not exactly what I would describe as "sexy". It has strong feminine vibes in it, so be cautious. Slightly balsamic as well. Performance wise, very average. 4-5 hours peak, maybe some slight notes over the next two hours. Overall it's a very pleasant scent, but nothing fancy or to impress. I'd say it's perfect to use to smell good to somebody close who'd you've known from a long time, because it gives very "personal warmth" and lovely vibes. Definitely not to use to impress somebody you're just meeting. Overall, about 5/10.

My brother has this. We think it's reminiscent of a barber shop. Clean, soft powder. Not baby powder. More fresh, not sweet. Suitable as an everyday casual scent. Would not offend anyone. Good for work/school. For warm and cold weather. Can smell it as someone walks past. Unisex, leans masculine. It's a very good and refreshing scent that we genuinely like. I think it's totally worth it for the price. The quality improves greatly over time. Great to layer it with strong vanilla/sweet fragrances to make it more gourmand, or with spicy fragrances to make them fresher. Scent: 8/10 Longevity: 8/10 (after maceration) Price: 10/10

Sure, the longevity is short, and sillage could be better, but it's a great value for everyday wearing. Surprisingly, the cinnamon/cardamon mixes with flowery scents into a woody combination. After around 2-3 hours, the smell gets less intense, more sweet, and can be smelled closer to the application spot, so not everybody can smell it, but you definitely can, so it can be worn as a personal olfactory treat. Feels casual, not luxurious, creating a non-pretentious feeling. Definitely shows that it wants to be a male-only fragrance, however I believe it can be unisex and wouldn't feel out of place. 7.5/10

Wow, I sniffed it by mistake and I fell in love with it! Really soft and sweater than I imagine a mans perfume would be... I really really like it, on a man or a woman. I could not say how long lasting it is, but after putting it on my wrist and then washing hands two times, I still had a warm and soft scent lingering. I will get it for myself. I might wear it too, but if not, I would still like to have it around to be able to feel the nice scent from time to time.

This fragrance kind of dissapointed me, though its not bad at all. I thought it would be a nice, warm winter fragrance. It turns out it actually smells a little fresh and definitely very clean. I dont get the mossy/woody note in this. Now when it comes to the price tag, its dirt cheap. Today I bought a 30 ml bottle for less than 4 euros. Overall, for sure a fragrance worth buying, would recommend.

Very much reminds me of the OG Le Male in the opening with a very decent dry down. The silage is pretty okay but the longevity is (to be expected) not that great. But for the price you're buying a homage to the OG Le Male that just needs a few more sprays from time to time. I give it a 4/5

It smells sweet and clean the vanilla note is smooth and it kind of reminds me of the sunscreen . I would Wear it in every season aaaand it is more like Unisex because of the sweetness it has. The best fregnance from this brand in my opinion.

A very light frag, that's a mixture of lavender and vanilla. I like it. Probably won't use it other than while going to the store or around the house. I don't see myself buying it again, even when it costs pennies.

This smells like a barbershop (which isn't a bad thing). The longevity and projection are really good for 5€. You can't really go wrong with this since it's so cheap.

It's an ok fragrance for the price, the cinnamon and vanilla work well together, it's nothing like Le Male, JPG, D&C like people have said so don't expect that.

Fragrance that I have mixed feelings about. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. At the first sniff, I smelled a beautiful vanilla layered with cardamom and a little bit of lavender in the background. Paradoxically, it was a hot summer's day when this fragrance mimicked a sandy beach with coconut palms, giving a feeling of cooling. After prolonged use of this fragrance, especially on colder days, cinamon starts to dominate in this composition, giving the feeling of something burnt. It gives the whole a more mature character. This cinamon note disturbed me so much that I had to sell about half of the bottle. The longevity is very weak and the projection is close to the skin.

Unspectacular, Boring But Worth A Sniff: I bought a bottle because it was so cheap. You always get what you pay for of course, in this case, a cheap cologne that doesn't last long and doesn't smell strong. Faint whiffs of wood maybe some spiciness on the dry-down, hard to detect as its so lame. I put a ton on to just about whiff its weak cinnamon, it was pleasant when I could catch its faint aroma. Worth a sniff for the money, good for spraying in the room or linen etc.

Smells similar to Le Male, as many others have noted. I picked this up because it was under 10 dollars and makes a very nice cheapie to use on bedsheets and linens. Would I wear this as my main perfume? No. But, if you like Le Male (not personally a big fan) it's worth checking out because of the price. I like it on linens because it's soft, not overwhelming, and clean.

It's good for it's price but could've been better honestly, The smell definetely is amazing but it doesn't last too long, the first 1 or 2 hours the smell is pretty good but then it fades away and get very weak. Other fragrances from La Rive are better.

Edit: It has gone bad for whatever reason, the scent just got weaker and it's straight up alcoholic even though I stored it in fine conditions. The quality might be a poorer than others, as expected of La Rive. Maybe don't get it simply just due to its shelf life. I got this last Christmas, it was a bit of a blind buy. It's decent, I'm happy with it. The longevity is a bit of a joke, but reapplying is not a sin I suppose. Vanilla is omnipresent in this one, but the moss, cinnamon, lavender, and cardamom do come through. If you're looking for an evening people pleaser vanillish fragrance, this is good... if they can even smell it at all. Don't overdo it though, my head hurts like hell after I apply it too liberally.

The opening is absolutely repulsive but it only lasts for a minute or two, after that I get warm cinnamon lavender and some vanilla kind of generic but somewhat pleasant aromatic and spicy scent. A linear scent. Versatile. Synthetic. Cheap smelling. Longevity is ok. I get 4 hours on my skin, 6 on my clothes. Projects lightly for about an hour, then sits very close to the skin for the rest of it's life. The atomizer on all La Rive fragrances I've tested is garbage, this one included. There are much better, more interesting and better done scents out there for a bit more money. 3/10

This fragrance is weird. It is a mix between freshness and stench. I get why some people think it smells like Le male, but Le male is way better. More elegant and young. This one smells like a stinky old guy. Thumbs down for Cabana.

Just smells very cheap, smells like a year old cigar left in a barbershop, one of the worst la rive fragrances i have smelled.

I dislike the the strong, artificial, and cheap-smelling spicy scent that appears during the dry-down.

Has a nice smell initially (5 minutes) then smells like a heavily used urinal cake as do most LA Rive products, although this one is the biggest offender to my nose. Yes they are cheap, but I can't bring myself to smell like urine all day.

La Rive keeps surprising me. They put out some real bangers that are incredibly affordable. Ok so sure they lack depth and complexity, but for $15-$20, my experience has been that they smell great and last a decent amount of time. Cabana is a very simple manly s ent. Warm, spicy, and sweet but not too sweet. Nice for fall and winter. I make my husband wear this one to bed and I love snuggling up and smelling him all night long. Overall for the price I give it a 7/10. It does not project much, but it is very long lasting. The sheets where he sleeps will continue to smell like him right through the following night with faint wafts lingering in the morning. Frag head snobs that push cheap=poor quality when it comes to fragrance isn't a thing. I SIMPLY DONT BELIEVE YOU Now @dustymemphis You seriously gots to chill man. Not only is it just a $20 bottle of fragrance, but also, it is only a bottle of fragrance. This is perfume, not politics! Why are you so pressed that other peoples experiences with this differs so much from your own? As you stated in your review, we all have different skin chemistry, which 💯 effects a perfumes performance, as well as many people are absolutely blind! Another factor being the way in which we individually pick up certain notes. It is often quite polarizing. While one person may smell coconut as a main note in a perfume, the next guy cannot pick it up at all. Take ambroxan for example, some people don't even pick the scent of it up at all. And I do feel strongly that different batches often play a huge factor. Especially these giant modern perfumers. (*Ahem* Creed Aventus! *coff coff*) Anyway, I could probably go on and on with more examples of why perfume is such a personal thing and that everyone's journey is different so I will stop here. Because if I look at this logically, and if you're as passionate about fragrance as your post would have it seem, then you already know all of this. And I can only conclude, that more than likely you were just having a bad day, and decided to use us, as your emotional punching bag to let off some steam. May i suggest a real punching bag in the future?

I checked your "reviews", they're all basically just you getting butthurt and screaming at random people you don't know because they don't use fragrances the same way you do and projecting most likely your own experiences onto others because you're insecure and sad. You do need to chill, take their advice when they say mellow your ass out and honestly just grow a higher opinion of yourself because you obviously have internal issues that need to be fixed lol. I'm not saying that to be mean, although it's 99% certain that you'll react to this with anger and you won't listen to me. Sadly, that's just the way narcissism works.

I'm seeing more complaints about longevity from a fragrance that costs as much as a gallon of milk. Get over it, my guy. Reapplication isn't a sin. Great spicy, woody cinnamon scent with a smooth vanilla that conspires with the lavender to give a powdery vibe that has a pervy panty sniffer quality, like White Diamonds...but in a masc scent. Definitely wearable by women. Might even be sexier on a woman, given the south of the equator human funk hiding in the powderiness. Homeboy grabbed it for me from a duty free shop in Malaysia. Really dig it and I might layer it with Blue Jeans sometime.

Masterpiece;powdery,sweet,aromatic...the powdery accord is so well constructed and so addictive you can't stop smelling it. I would not classify it as a cheapie scent or drug store fragrance. Yes,is similar or an interpretation of Francis Kurkdjian Le male. If you like smelling things this is for you. Another good one not on the data base from same company is called Victory(Cool Water Davidoff).

So le male for lumpen proletariat, thank you very much la rive, but actually better than the og. It's definitely smoother, more rounded, less minty, more soft notes, vanilla, powder, make up, cinnamon. Of course if you don't need any perfume longevity, this one scores max in that area. Yeah, who needs longevity anyway. So reapply as much as you want this smooth operator and you'll be fine

Oh it so good clone of something luxury.and it was totally surprising -I bought this treasure at supermarket with milk ,kilo pears and toothpaste :)) .use it sometime like home fragrance with candle from Bath and body works "mahagony teakwood" .test on skin was also good -it didn't got allergy,and cologne stayed as is for couple of hours. Price -5 dollar at Poland

first spray i could smell JPG after 3- 4 hours i could detect JPG & D&G PH the Old Version. Longevity not bad 5 - 6 hours i could still smell it on my clothes. so just try and prove it!

After pretty disturbing opening which lasts for 5 minutes, dry down smells like cheap car air freshener- very similar to Le Male by JPG, just weaker.
