Her Choice

This La Rive is so new, I was surprised to find it here in the US to buy so soon- and extremely pleased because I have a sample of My Way and love it, but can't afford it yet. I can't swear they are 100% identical smelling but they are close enough my nose can't tell the difference... and it might be one of La Rive's better performers. They put it in their "Medium" line (there are Classic, Medium, Premium and Prestige, which I assume all correlates to level of quality/intensity) so take that for what you will; certainly I could still catch whiffs of it several hours later on both my skin and my clothing. I won't need to but I would buy it again, that's how much I like the scent and the performance of it. For a La Rive, 8/10. I picked this as a gift for my best friend a year or two ago. I was new to fragrances with no clue of notes, brands and such. After trying maybe over a dozen perfumes in a Rossmann store, I smelled this and was like "Woah, this is good!" After giving My Way a try upon learning that Her Choice is a dupe of it, I can say that they smell extremely similar, and I actually like Her Choice more. This perfume is very sweet and floral. First it smells fruity, then it dries down to a bouquet of flowers while still retaining the fruity sweetness. I honestly love it. It sadly doesn't last very long but hey, it's only €6 for 100ml. Just spray more lol. If I were to personify this perfume, I'd say it's that one friend that you can always rely on. She is sweet, caring, youthful but also elegant. She is an amazing person. Even if we go our seperate ways, I'll respect her choice and continue to admire her from afar.

OMG ..... Even after reading all the reviews, that this is similar to My Way, I bought it thinking that there must be noticeable differences. But NO there is not!!! This is the same. Unbelievable. I'm flabbergasted. I have never come across a dupe, there is SO identical to it's expensive designer counterpart. How is this even legal 😅😅 But hey..... Consumer win win 💪👍🥳🥳🤩🤩 Follow up ...... If I have to pin point a difference, Her Choice is a bit more aggressive right out of the bottle, a bit like "in your face", and perhaps a bit on longevity. My way orginal, has better staying power. With Her Choice, you need to reaply. But for that price (I payed just under 7€ for 100 ml) you can reaply all you want 🥳

To my nose Her Choice is 90% - 95% identical to My way by Armani. If you smell them side by side you can tell small differences like a bit more red berry in My way or Her Choise going to the dry down quicker. But if I smell them a day apart I don't think I could tell you which is which. A 30ml bottle of My way by Armani is usually sold for 71-83 euro (in my area) which is a steep price for a sweet bubble gummy perfume that has ok performance. A bottle 100ml of Her Choice I can find for 6 - 8 euro so less than a tenth of the price for more than 3x the amount of perfume. I don't think I will re purchase My way when I run out and will stick with the much cheaper dupe.

I tried sample of Giorgio Armani My Way and I like it, but I was not in a financial mood to buy it. I heard some girls talking about La Rive and how good it is, but I was skeptical. Then I saw in the same perfume store that it was on Sale for only 5eur so I bought it. Oh boy, it is so identical to My Way, you can't tell the difference. It last long, smell nice. I definitely recommend this one. Big bottle of 100ml for only 5e, on my skin it lasted about 4h. So it's a good buy. Also, I tried other La Rive dupes and fragrances, but I didn't find them special nor good dupes, yet very weak. Only this one is a Gem!

Honestly, this lasts pretty good considering the price! I sprayed this on at home (a little overspray, ngl) and I could smell it so strongly almost the whole day! Your body heat definitely has something to do with it, as I was feeling very hot all day due to the weather lol - the hotter the skin, the better it lasts, honestly! So it’s sooo fitting for spring and summertime. Considering the scent itself, I don’t even think buying My Way is worth it. Not that it isn’t good, but it’s not special in any way tbh, it smells like a body mist to me and not a perfume. Just get Het Choice!

Crazy that someone can say this perfume is over priced! It’s literally 6€ in Germany for 100ml strong hold & sillage, definitely a dupe for a high end but I’m not sure which perfume, it is giving in the GIVENCHY L’Interdit family, probably sister to it. I sprayed each in each hand and could hardly tell a difference! In fact often I gravitate towards this rather than L’Interdit. This is such a good perfume for very little money if you have it in your drugstore pick it up, however 25€ reselling price is crazy.

If you're in doubt about buying this, don't. The perfume has a strong, summery, floral and surprisingly fruity scent which is perfect for everyday use as well as casual dates. The scent is heavy enough to be noticable in a crowded room, but not enough to give a headache or overtake anyone's smelling abilities. I've had it for 8 months and it's still half full! Totally worth the price and loved by other ladies. Perfect for anyone who wants to smell sweet, youthful and be the personification of a flower field.

Wow! Can't believe this is La Rive. It smells like a sweet and fresh bouquet of flowers and I've never gotten this many compliments from people. Even men have randomly told me I smell so good when I wear this. This perfume won't last long though and I have to spray more than usual for it to be effectful but it's so cheap so that's ok! Lovelovelove. I even wanna smell it on me when I go to bed cause it's so yummy. And usually I'm a bit sensitive to strong smells when I'm gonna sleep. This is so good!

Muitas pessoas sentem dor de cabeça com esse perfume, pois ele é idêntico ao inspirado o my way, ele dura horrores na pele, na roupa simplesmente não sai, e exala por horas, ele é uma delícia, um perfume que ao mesmo tempo que é fresco é super intenso, considerado feminino por motivos que desconheço, já que usa quem quer, mas pra pessoas que não suportam perfumes doces, fuja dele, o final dele é super adocicado.

I first wrote a very negative review but after just 8 days and some sprays the fragrance has changed and its so nice! Its very sweet but in a comfortable and clean way. Yes, it doesnt have the depth of the real thing, but often I find them to be way to intense. This is a nice and easy to like scent that can be worn by anyone. It doesnt smell cheap, and will not bother your soroundings.

Great hit! For €8 you get a sparkling, warm fragrance. Sweet but not too much, very feminine and nice. It's Othello grape juice in a perfume bottle! And I adore the Othello grapes, which are full of the aroma of summer and wild strawberries. The price-quality ratio is more than excellent! A great perfume that I will enjoy wearing on warm days.

It lasts forever on me - wonderful bergamot mixed with orange blossom and some delicate jasmine - perfect for neverending June evenings🥰 I do recall testing "My Way" (to which this is compared) and not being overly impressed... Perhaps they share similar DNA but "Her Choice" seems to blend way better with my chemistry - hence my impression.

Foi meu primeiro La Rive. É docinho, mas não enjoa percebi que não minha pele não projeta, mas gruda na roupa. Não agrada a todos minha irmã ama bombas doces e esse ela passa longe, estou no meu segundo frasco e comprei o My Way por conta dele, testei o floral e achei idêntico. Espero que o Armani projete mais.

This smells like black grape candy in a bottle. I used have scented pens as a kid and i loved the grape one.This reminds of that. Also this a very good dupe, I like My Way better but for the price and 95% similarly this wins!

I don`t get it: Why is sweet not listed in the main accords and bubblegum not listed in the notes?!? This is barely a floral parfume!! Nevertheless, I love this! Girly, pretty, feminine, classy, dressy, youthful!

This perfume smells expensive, clean. I feel like I smell caramelized black grapes, my husband feels the same way. I think I will wear it in the summer. with a cute dress.

A princess fragrance Sweet but a floral sweet, when it dries down it reminds me of smell of new clothes. It last moderate, but in the clothes stay longer.

Sweeter, rounder, flirtier than My Way. And yes, simply better! A bit too weak though, so you need a lot of it. But still a Love.

I love this More than Armani My way. This has a hint of L'indredit as well. For me this smells like Wild strawberries :D

Yeah, sorry, this smells 98% similar to the 6 carded samples I have of Armani's My Way. The 2% difference? That top note of orange is a lot less stringent upon the sense of smell. Which, in my view, is a welcome thing. La Rive fragrances are good right out of the box, just a not as strong; let them sit for a few months to a year and they're fantastic. I'll usually test them against the designer frags they replicate bc I like the scent profile but don't want to spend the money on a popular, but transient, trend. Sometimes I just want the La Rive to layer with it's counterpart bc the designer scent doesn't last, either way you can't go wrong at this price point. I spent $11.43 with shipping. I paid more for shipping than the fragrance, it's crazy, lol. Lets face it, designer prices are becoming more expensive than really lovely niche perfumes, and they aren't worth it bc of less than stellar performance. I've never felt ripped off with La Rive ~ I may not feel super original ~ but sometimes you just wanna smell pretty.

I am in shock how good this fragrance is. I mostly get sweet white flowers (bubblegumy tuberose) with a bit of musk. I really like Armani - My way, so when I read these amazing reviews I went to the store to try this out. I was sure there would be the weird, obnoxious smell I unfortunately get on my skin when I test cheaper perfumes (I bought 100ml for 8,5 euro 😳)....buut suprise suprise this was lovely from the start! The next day I went and tested My way against Her choice and as ceeceelee wrote these are 98% similar. Staying power on clothes is moderate, about 5 to 6 hours. On my skin is now only 2 hours, but where I live is still 2°C so I am not fazed, I believe in the summer the performance will be better, we ́ll see. Overall I am impressed! If you don ́t have budget for Armani go definetly for this one!

I kinda want My Way, but it's also not exactly my type of smell, I find myself sometimes in the mood for it, but more often I don't, and overall, I kinda like it but not enough to spend the money on it...La Rive has a solution for me. This is a cheap dupe, so of course, we can't expect the complexity and performance of the original, but for 6 eur it's definitely a good find. It lasts about 3-4 hours on skin and clothes, has a weak to moderate sillage, is noticeable but not overpowering, doesn't leave a trail. Flowery with a soft spicy note, friendly, harmonic, peaceful, balanced, and gentle. Good for the office - casually elegant, delicate, and smooth. Spring/summer scent.

Cheerful and sunny white floral. Kind of thick, jammy and perfumy. Bubblegum, too, and girly. I agree with Eriksen below - I'm positively flabbergasted. But consider it this way: an expensive designer perfume ($100-150 for 90ml) smells like a delightful $8 spray. Neither one "smells expensive", rather, easy and straightforward and fun. I mention again, it's REALLY fruity. Best to walk into a mist of it, to apply, rather than creating perfume hot spots here and there. It can be cloying, in my opinion. I don't think this style of perfume ever "smells expensive" or "luxurious" so this La Rive product seems like a great fit of fragrance to price point. Bravo.

No wonder this is sold out in my area! This is very similar toMy Way, maybe not just so long lasting. I sprayed two times on my jacket and could still smell it after two days, probably tomorrow too - the third day. I am really impressed! Edit after a few days: ok, now I’m starting to think that they put the quality stuff in the testers and the new product is just a really watered down version. The tester was a real bomb, but after I bought a bottle - weak, weak, weak. :(

The above notes are not complete. According to the La Rive website: Head notes orange blossom, bergamot, red berry, apple Heart notes tuberose, Indian jasmine, magnolia Base notes vanilla, white musk, cedarwood. The original My Way is a tuberose heavy hitter. Tuberose can have a bubblegum quality. There are several reviews mentioning the bubblegum-like quality in My Way which I feel is very similar to the original.

First of all, i like the bottle, it looks quite pretty in my drawer. Then about the perfume, it's more about orange blossom than tuberose while My Way is more tuberose. They're more like a sister than a twin. It has similar dry down to Bella Aqua somehow. The longevity is around 5 hours, longer on clothes. Nice dupe but i wish it's more about tuberose than orange blossom

I love my La Rive collection and the variety it provides to my fragrance wardrobe (I have 15!) and this was a great addition. I haven't tried My Way, but I trust La Rive to select popular scents and interpret them in a mass-appealing way. I find the longevity and projection to be comparable to other designer scents, making this an excellent value.

Got this today and the good girl dupe. Her Choice does smell exactly like My Way I got the grape bubble gum thing right away and some citrus. It faded very quickly within and hour. But I did love it and it would make a great summer scent. So I think based off the reviews I’m going to go for the intense. It’s basic but in a really nice way?

Update: I let this sit for like a year at first I was like wow love it, but it doesn’t last.It’s super bubblegum sweet yes! But not headache inducing. So forgot about it and tried it again today and I’m in love with this! 💕 I’m going to get the bottle for spring summer as I spent soo much over the winter! Ha it’s a great cheapie

I honestly can't tell the difference between this and original My Way...but my bank account can ;) Both open with a sparkling grape juice note (orange blossom), and settle into a pink bubble gum (tuberose/jasmine), fluffy white musk. I will be using this all spring/summer long! My first La Rive, and certainly won't be my last.

Hello everyone! First time commenting on Fragrantica. I saw many comments on La Rive products and i must say I'm very impressed with this brand. Decided to gamble on Her Choice and it's such a beautiful smell. When it dries up a bit all i smell is My Way but yet a bit different. Very recommend

Wow! What a bargain! Sweet, fresh fragrance that is SO similar to My Way. Bought it for $7, so the longevity is excused. Lasts a bit longer on clothes though, but otherwise moderate longevity. Perfect everyday spring/summer daytime fragrance! Would say safe blind buy since it's so cheap...

This smells very nice! It’s a creamy, sweet white floral with a touch of citrus. Smells more expensive than it really is. It’s soft, comfy and uplifting. Something for a relaxed but elegant lady. Good value for the money. Better for warm days.

Accurate My Way clone, is of course more synthetic, more bubblegum heavy, more sharp-not as airy but for a fraction of the price ! I would buy this to gauge my feelings then upgrade to the real thing ( or try the alhambra clone )

I've smelled «My Way» in the store to be able to сompare these two. I couldn't actually tell the difference. Maybe My Way is а little bit more powdery? Anyway, Her Choice is totally worth trying!

This is my favorite of my La Rive scents. I never smelled My way, but now I’m curious. Even then, it’s impressive perfume on its own especially for the price point!

Delicious, girly and fresh perfume! Nice sillage. However I wish it would last longer. Very close to My Way! Ideal budget gift for someone who likes sweet perfumes.

I honestly think this is great for the price. A little synthetic sweet white floral scent, but it lasts super long on my skin. A good fresh spring scent.

Very good dupe to My Way, I’m impressed! I get 4 pretty strong hours on my skin, it’s little bit weaker, but for 10 bucks way more than I expected!

It is a fresh scent and for some reason I can smell also green tea when I sniff this perfume. It is ok, good for the price.
