In Woman Red

Elegant, refreshing, youthful, feminine... These characteristics come to mind while smelling this :) I tested Armani Si Passione side by side with this, and I'm happy to report they are practically the same (on my skin). Even in performance. This starts with burst of tart, soft-peppery fruits: mostly blackcurrant and slowly develops into a soft-rose and almond-like heliotrope (can't smell any jasmine). Within the hour the scent becomes more ambery, vanilla on my skin, but still retains the juicy blackcurrants. Sweet yet crisp, perfect for warmer weather. Fully agree with the reviewer underneath: this has great projection especially during the first hour, and the longevity on my skin is 5-6 hours before fading to nothingness. Verdict: A safe blind buy for fans of Si Passione, tart blackcurrants, clean yet slightly-gourmand scents. Suitable for all occasions including office in hotter weather. Subtly flirty, refreshing and crowd-pleasing

So I bought La Rive In Woman Red because it was said to be a good dupe for Armani Si Passione, and It kind of is. The opening is sweeter but really similar with Si Passione, however it’s much lighter and lacking the depth that makes Si Passione Si Passione. Not to say that In Woman Red is bad, it’s a good scent on its own and I like it. And don’t pass this up when you first spray it, you need to give it time to air out and develop a bit before it shows it’s true color. Good cheapie.

I love this, the only thing I wish is that it lasted longer. It opens with currant, and perhaps it is the color of the bottle influencing me here, but to my nose this smells like red currants, just picked and ready to make into jam. Nice and tart, this was a pleasant surprise. It fades into a woody vanilla scent much too quickly for my taste, which is nice enough, but even that fades very quickly. It would be a love if the longevity was better.

the longevity is nonexistent, it was gone from my skin after an hour, and on a test strip it was gone seemingly as soon as it dried. It’s pleasant enough for the price for sure, and I’m rather impressed with the La Rive fragrances I’ve experienced to date. It does last longer if you spray quite a bit.

Nice Fresh en fruity smell in the beginning, more warmth in the ending. Doesn't have the same depth as Si passione. Would say a lighter version of Si passione more for wearing during the daytime.

I’m a big fan of Sì Passione and this perfume is a perfect dupe of it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last even for a second on my skin. 😩

First time using, and I am comparing this to a tester of Si Passione, I sprayed one on each wrist (FYI tester vial of Si sprayed a lot less than the La Rive in woman red which I sprayed more of). I wasn’t sure if I would like either to be honest, but this perfume had a strong alcohol smell initially which was hard to get over, Si Passione did not have this and I immediately get a sweet spicy pear and I actually really like it. Although I love the other la Rive fragrances I’ve tried this one has really not given anywhere near the same oomph as the others or a designer fragrance, I got a fleeting moment after the alcohol smell dissipated where they smell slightly ‘similar’ but it’s quickly dried down and honestly I’m just getting kind of musky jasmine, it’s only been a few minutes and I need to really stick my nose close to smell anything. Right now the Si Passione is developing beautifully but the La Rive is disappearing - very weak!. I think if you love Si Passione it probably won’t hit the spot 🤷♀️. It is super cheap though! 😂 . In contrast La Rive Queen of life, Taste of Kiss and Eternal Kiss are all 👌 amazing beautiful perfumes, really worth their cheap price tag I think and I found longevity great!

I have recently gotten my hands on a huge La Rive haul - 16 bottles! The fragrance bug hit me all of a sudden. This was one of the bottles. While I love "In Woman", this is a failed blind buy for me. Sure, it has the same DNA as In Woman with a sweet fruityness on top but the longevity and sillage is so poor! I can barely smell it even after dousing myself. This would have been a hit if it was not so weak. I don't know if my bottle has evaporated or the scent has gone but it is like scented water. My box says it expires on 6/2024, so from this info, I can assume that it is 3 yrs old. I think La Rive has a 5 yr expiration date since production although I wouldn't go by this. It could last longer or shorter depending on the scent. Unfortunately, I cannot give this a good rating since it is barely noticeable. I will just layer it with In Woman. It's the best I can do but for $8 usd, I don't feel too bad about this failed blind buy. Other La Rives have been stellar though. In Woman, In Flames, Taste of Kiss are all amazing!!

I really enjoy this,kinda gives me Katy Perry killer queen vibes but they are definitely not the same. It's definitely not a shampoo type of fragrance IMO, but more along the lines of smelling like a celebrity fragrance. It comes across way more peppery and musky than the notes listed. This is really easy going. Perfect for spring and summer. I can't imagine this fragrance offending anyone. It sits close to the skin. An edit: the wear time is HORRENDOUS!! It's performance is even weaker than a body mist. :/ I literally doused myself in this, after putting lotion on, and I couldn't get it to last past 1 1/2 hours. Save your money.

I haven't smelled Si Passione yet so I can't compare it to this. I get a lot of pear in the opening with some black currant, which is nice while it lasts. The rose eventually joins them with a bit of the vanilla. It isn't powdery for having heliotrope (which I don't smell) in it and I don't get much jasmine or the other bottom notes. It lasted a little while on my skin, about 3 hours but was a skin scent not longer after first spray. This is okay - nothing amazing. I wouldn't rebuy.

Nice elegant feminine scent that, for the price, actually scores well on longevity and projection. Reminds me of friends I had in my late teens, that liked to wear inoffensive truly feminine, somewhat fresh and elegant scents, that I would find more suited on their classy moms and would never wear myself since I liked heavier, darker, spicier, sweeter scents. I still prefer those, but can appreciate this now.

La Rive perfumes have been hit or miss for me. This one is a miss. The opening is nice, but then it is gone within 5-10 minutes and I'm left with a generic shampoo skin scent smell. I've had the same thing happen with Sweet Hope. They smell the exact same after the initial opening.

It smells like Pantene Pro-v shampoo.

I think "meh" is the best word to describe it. I really like the opening but when it dries down the smell makes me sick. I have tried lots of other amazing perfumes from La Rive and I love them all but this one is a miss in my opinion.

What a weird one. Okay so I am sensing the pink pepper of Lovestruck Floral Rush and the pear that I smell in Bieber's The Key, meaning this perfume belongs in this genre, more tart than these two and the heliotrope gives a purple touch almost like passion flower. Super soft, dry cedar and "watery" scent with a grassy kind of rose. I smell the amber on my skin at the initial spray and thats when the notes stand out, but as soon as it dries, I mainly smell something tart (black currant), some rose, pink pepper and the heliotrope, all very faint. It's gone within 30 mins and whats left is a watery grassy rose skin scent with some of the heliotrope and pink pepper, maybe some amber too. Its not worth buying this, it doesnt have a bold identity and 0 lasting power. On paper it stays longer lol possibly on clothes too. If you want something bright, tart, alittle green sligthly sweet and watery, better try Forever by LaRive or go for the real deal.

So i tried this perfume at store several times before decided to buy it. The tester was so good, it smelled for 2 days on clothes, very fruity lovely smell. Then i compared it with original Armani Si - it was so similar! So i finally decided to buy it and immediately was so dissapointed. It is the weakest perfume i ever tried, smell doesn’t last at all. It can be used as a body spray - several sprays a day. I had high hopes for this because the tester was so delightful.

This smells absolutely heavenly. It is cosy and just the right amount of everything: sweet, fruity, flowery, and fresh. It‘s delightful! I pray this will always be in the larive range! La Rive, if you read this - thank you!
