My Only Wish

I just bought this perfume today. I already have La Rive Touch of Kiss and I love it! It smells very expensive and layered. I was looking for a perfume that is lighter, for spring time. I tried this out of curiosity and I LOVE it!!! 🥰 It reminds me of Eden by Cacharel, just a bit toned down. I love how Eden smells from the bottle, but on my skin it smells somehow sour. This one smells on my skin exactly like the Eden smells from the bottle! It is a bit minty, then there is a milky-caramel layer. I do smell raspberry as well. A bit citrusy when sprayed, but dries down to this lovely mixture. Overall it just smells so subtle and feminine, very non-aggressive perfume that has deep, layered notes. I think this is perfect for spring or summer. It does not smell cheap of flat or synthetic, for me this is a very refined perfume. It is very unique. And so so affordable!! It is not very strong, but as the price is great you can spray it throughout the day. I tried Yes I am from Cacharel once and I did not like it. But I will try it again, on my skin, after I have this perfume. So far to me this is more of a dupe for toned-down Eden! 😍

Red-Berry Pavlova Scent... This is a dupe of Yes I Am Cacharel with good approximation and moderate performance. Opens with a with a fruity sweet burst that gives an impression of red-berries. As it transitions to the heart, white-florals combine to bring a lactonic accord with warm-spicy, creamy-sweet & faintly clean touches. For me, this is so close to a gourmand, except for the clean touches from orange-blossom, however, the way it's blended here gives the illusion of pavlova meringue shell. Overall I get a red-berry pavlova scent, as with Yes I Am Cacharel, however the performance here is quite light in keeping with the majority of La Rive scents I've tested. Performance improves dramatically with dark storage after first sprays, but at that point it's still average, or slightly above average, for year round wear. This is easier to wear in warmer weather than Yes I Am Cacharel. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

When I first sprayed this, I was hit with a synthetic blue raspberry jolly rancher scent. It smelled very medicinal and I was so disappointed. But I let it dry down on my skin and oh my goodness! I smelled like berries with whipped cream and caramel. It’s not overly sweet but it’s a fruity, creamy and warm scent. I don’t own anything like this in my collection and I’m so happy that I have her. This fragrance has layer’s baby! But it only lasts an hour on my skin and about 2 hours on my clothes which really sucks. La rive fragrances smell so good but they don’t last😭 Edit: I over sprayed this today (like 10sprays) and I could smell it on my clothes for about 8 hours. Silllage was strong the first 4 hours but started to fade after that. This smells so good but you gotta over spray this baby!

Wow this smells so good. It smells pretty much identical to Yes I Am, which is in my top favorites. Something about this reminds me of cinnamon apple sauce, while Yes I Am reminds me of a Chai tea latte. I feel like this one has some sort of apple type smell that I don't get in Yes I Am. Somehow it still smells almost identical. Doesn't last as long but it does project pretty well. I did get a compliment the only time I've worn this around other people so that's always good.

This is quite delightful. I get a milky caramel dessert vibe joined by a Jolly Rancher type candy fruit. It’s very linear- what you spray is what you get. It’s delicious and I love it. It doesn’t last too long, a couple of hours maybe, but it doesn’t cost too much so... there you go. ETA: I have Cacharel Yes I Am Fabulous now and I like this La Rive better!!!

like others have said, it smells really good, bright sweet red fruits with creaminess and a touch of spice. But it doesn't last. Trying to use my bottle up by super overspraying at night so I can enjoy it for maybe and hour before I fall asleep since thats all it lasts, even spraying on clothes and using it like a body spray.

I saw this almost a year ago on the official La Rive website and was fascinated by the notes. Looked up the perfume this is a dupe of, saw the reviews, and proceeded to lust over it for months. Due to the lockdown, this wasn't available in my country until October. I checked the stores where La Rive perfumes were available obsessively. When I walked in DM markt that cold September evening and saw it on the shelf, my soul just about left my body in excitement. I sprayed the tester on my hand and......oh. It was NOT what I expected. The original isn't available in my country either, so I hadn't the chance to test that one before. I went in with just a preconceived notion of what it would smell like, and it smelled nothing like what I expected. I thought milky juicy raspberry sorbet would be it. It's closer to creamy spice bomb. Not that that's a bad thing! It's perfectly cosy and sweet and desserty, but not overly fruity or tart. I've taken up wearing it to bed, cause it's such a comforting fragrance, that it relaxes me before sleep. I'm thinking maybe in the heat, it might smell way different, maybe the raspberry and lemon and other flowers would show up more, but it's still pretty cold where I live. If it smells different, I will update my review. Overall I like it, and it's definitely worth it for the price. Just don't judge it by the notes.

Even though it smells divine I just have one thing to complain about. Performance. Sorry but that's what makes or breaks a fragrance and obviously "what did you expect from such a cheap fragrance?" But actually I must say that that's not true at all. Not all cheap perfumes lack performance. I had to do around 30 sprays today and still it didn't choke me out or nauseate me at ALL. It was very poorly smelled by those around me and imagine with masks on.. go figure 😒 But all that said the actual scent is really pretty.. it does smell slightly mature but not in an old woman type of way (it's not sophisticated either though) and it is sweet but in a very cozy comforting way. I really think this scent will grow on me, but with this longevity and projection I can only see myself wearing this in the summer evenings. All in all not a bad fragrance I would say it's worth the money (which was under 8€) I'm just slightly disappointed :/

I got this as a gift. When I first sprayed it on paper I was amazed. It smelled really soft spicy like a cinammon apple. But something about this doesnt agree with my skin. At first I get that really sweet cinammon apple, which I love but after that a bitter almost green note starts to emerge, which I guess is the licorice. I just cannot stand it, which is sad because it smelles so nice on paper. I guess my skin and licorice don't get along. I had the same happening with UDV mini sexy, which is also heavy on the licorice note. Somehow licorice smells to me like a insect repellent. I might spray it on my clothes and see how I like it there. It is a beautiful fragrance however be careful If you don't Like licorice.

Smells like a "minty" sweet raspberry in the opening. After that it's mostly a sweet raspberry but still light and creamy. Reallyreally doesn't last at all though. But for a price like this it's ok. As someone else said it's like a body spray. So I just enjoy it around the house when I want to smell something but not use one of the premium ones that I have. This one and Eternal Kiss are the best from La Rive. The rest that I have tried are too sharp.

Genuinelt confused by somw comments here. This one is a more balanced and well rounded version of Yes I am. Smell really nice, llike someone who brushed their teeth well, fresh breath and is sucking a mentholaded cherry or raspberry Halls, ready to kiss someone in a party.. It's feminine( cam be used in males with the resemblence of kiss) perfectly sweet and balanced. Kinda elegant in my opinion too This will be my "clean super kissable girl" scent

Simply put, this smells like raspberry jam, ginger and caramel 😋. In the opening I get a blast of raspberry with a pleasant spiciness and citrus notes. Later, it settles into a milder raspberry scent, and then the milky caramel comes forward. It's a good alternative to 'Yes I Am,' although it lasts and projects less. But for around €6 for 100ml, I don't mind reapplying. It layers nicely with the OG Pink Sugar. Smells like a whole snack!

My Only Wish does smell like Yes I Am, but at the same time they are worlds apart. Yes I Am is relatively inexpensive, so if you can afford it I will say the quality difference makes it well worth the money.

**UPDATE** SO, she requires time in a cool dark place to macerate. After first smelling this and finding it lacking, I boxed it up, put it in my maceration wardrobe and forgot about it for about ten months. I saw it the other day and took it out for another test spin just to see if anything has changed. My opinion has certainly changed. This frag is BEAUTIFUL after ten months of maceration. Just beautiful. Its soft yet bold, sweet and both gardenia (floral) comes through as does the yummy caramel. Its a great combination and I am so glad I let it rest for long enough to show me how beautiful she can be. Patience has never been my strength but this lesson was a good one. ======================= This. Is. AWFUL. STINKS, but hey, theres no longevity so there's that. Overrated waste of my money. 🥱

Smells like grape candy to me. I'm not sure if this needs to macerate but I can't decipher any individual notes in this one. I was expecting to smell something lactonic or caramel according to the base notes but nope. It also smells rather cheap which might be expected because it only costs like $11. I own much better quality La Rive fragrances that don't smell cheap at all: Taste of Kiss, Beauty, and Queen of Life. This one was a let down.

Smells identical to Yes I am, but this is more sweet/sour with more intense raspberry reminiscent of cherry so the Prada Candy Gloss moment here lasts more and the similarity is more obvious. It also smells more fruity less mature than the OG version. Here I get more of the James Bond 007 vibe. Its drydown is similar to Mad Potion but more tart and a softer To Be Rose Blossom. My review from the Cacharel OG is as follows and the same feelings I have for this gem as well. This is more playful than Yes I Am since its sour/sweet cherry moment lasts longer. Yes I am has better lasting power overall. The bottle of Yes I Am is amazing. They both have a nutty almondy feel. I made room on my favs shelf for this. "This is a mix of everything beautiful and favorite of mine, like Prada Candy Gloss had a baby with To Be Rose Blossom and Police Forbidden was the best man. James Bond 007 and Good Girl can be the bridesmaids haha. Best blind buy of the decade. The opening and first 20 minutes are alot like Prada Candy Gloss to my nose (one of my favorite heavy cherry -almond perfumes). It has that subtle alluring addicting "plastic" soft cherry-like (raspberry+mandarin?) aroma without the heavy heliotrope note which is not always my favorite. The raspberry is sweet and tart,with the lemon and syrupy bergamot my nose mistakes it for cherry!! Im a cherry lover. Nothing synthetic here, from opening to drydown and in between this perfume is a dream. If I want something softer, but equally amazing this is my best option. Candy Gloss can get heavy in the drydown due to the heliotrope and cherry. Their common notes are orange flower/orange blossom, rose, benzoin (I love!!). Anything benzoin (myrrh/incense/resins) Im here for it! The licorice and cardamom here are very subtle, not overpowering thank God. Licorice more prominent later in the drydown. The perfume as a whole has a subtle 90s vibe, the Cacharel DNA, my mom's favorite brand. Nothing dated though. First stage of the drydown I get that subtle beautiful nutty play-doh element, and I suspect it must be the milk, caramel, jasmine, lemon combination, this amazing blend that gives Forbidden its intoxicating milkiness (the almond play-doh perfume by Police). This gives place to the main course which is the essence of "Yes I am", a nutty-lactonic, fruity and tart orange blossom/gardenia sweetness. The whole vibe is similar to "To Be Rose Blossom", but much much lighter. Common notes: Mandarin orange, licorice, jasmine, gardenia and amber(wood). Similar sweetness and licorice effect. The last stage of the perfume in fact as I wore it more these days is like a softer To Be Rose Blossom, which is way heavier and pungent/cloying, sickly sweet with all that heliotrope/licorice. Some of the notes here also remind me of James Bond 007 without the peppery berries. Bergamot - Rose - Gardenia - Jasmine - vanilla in common. These give me some of that James Bond addicting sweetness, (gardenia I think makes it so milky here too). Technically queens in their own realm. Good Girl vibe is very subtle. Orris, cacao, praline, tuberose, coffee, cinnamon are all too much so to my nose and comparing them side by side, I only get a whiff of their common notes. I am no longer much of a fan of Good Girl so thank God the similarity is subtle. Even though I adore almond I have grown SO tired of Good Girl due to being so popular also and the coffee and cacao dont play nice on my skin. Hands down this is the most beautiful milky,nutty, aromatic and dimensional perfume I have EVER smelled without even having almond, cuz usually almond and tuberose impress me as much. Goes to the favorites shelf. It's flawless, it binds and amps up all the amazing elements of the perfumes I mentioned above. It omits all the flaws of them. My new date-night sexy perfume"

This is a playful, creamy, gourmand leaning fragrance. It is a dupe to Cacharel's "Yes I am", but still slightly different. It is less potent, which "Yes I am" can be dense and overwhelming. This one is fruitier, more vibrant, less woody, less nutty. For some reason I smell something nutty/woody/bitter-dense in "Yes I am" and it really packs a punch. "My only Wish" is more girly, playful, the rasberry is prominent and works wonders in combinations with the creamy facettes of this fragrance. The rasberry has some tang to it that reminds me of sweet limes, there is something intriguing about this fruitiness. The rasberry + caramel/milk + spice + nuts combo also gives off slight makeup vibes, like lipstick or powder. That's why this fragrance smells super feminine. I love the bottle, very pretty, sturdy, lies well in the hands, good sprayer, very good for the price. The ONLY issues with this one are the longevity & sillage. You have to spray generously and even then it only lasts a couple of hours on my clothes and has close to no prejection/sillage after 15 minutes. It's stays very close, this could be such a compliment getter, but I doubt that anyone can smell it around me. Just faint whiffs. Such a bummer. Also, it does smell a little synthetic, but I don't really mind that. Still, it's a strong like for me. It's an easy reach. Unfortunately La Rive has discontinued this fragrance.

This fragrance truly fascinates me. 100ml for 6.95€ but it does not smell cheap at all. Longevity wasn't too bad either in my opinion, considering the few times I have worn it so far. It's not too heavy, but not too light, and I see myself wearing this on many occasions. Originally I got it because I was looking for a scent that's office-friendly, but not lame and only floral either. And I found it in this! Smells a little seductive even. I really, really enjoy this one!

I bought this one as it had such a good reviews, and also because I was always curious how the yes I am smells like. It was blind buy. After spraying it, I though I will choke myself and vomit. I could only scent ginger, and shortly after that the smell just dissapeared... No milk, no caramel, fruits, flowers... Just ginger. Amazing, how individual the choice od parfume can be. I am going to test it further, I hope I will be able to smell what others smelled too :)

So cacharel duped a 2000 la rive 20 yrs later? Yeah right. I can tell by the comments that this was made closer to 2020.

Perfume launched in 2000 and Cacharel's is from 2018.
