Vanilla Touch

I wonder if it's like Katy Perry Purr cuz the listed notes are identical. Ok so I bought it and it smells nothing like Purr. It's a play doh vanilla (the jasmine, coconut, amber, orchid blend prolly create this impression) with a sweet fruity essence. It becomes balsamic boozy with an ambery resinous heart, slightly dark and deep as the play doh scent persists. Very attractive and different scent. At the later drydown it's like resinous incense quite churchy yet fruity perhaps the amber peach here acts like the amber peach in D&G The One. They're different scents but both are churchy resinous like fruity incense. I wish La Rive went back to its creative bottle designs tho. These bottles feel cheap and plain. It's a love from me. It projects well and if I spray twice on me it can get overwhelming. Bought it from a Polish site. The review by erbn convinced me to buy it. I agree that it does have an incense type of balsamic quality to it.

EVERY time I enter a room with this on someone is excited about freshly baked cookies because it just smells like something has been baking. I'm not making this up. And then I say: "Oh it's probably just me". People never believe me until they get a sniff. I've tried a lot of vanilla perfumes in my life but this one is the best. I don't even know how that's possible because it's so cheap. High end vanilla perfumes always smell like a granny. This is nice and sweet and reminds me of the scent of fake vanilla extract. In a good way! Something nostalgic and homey about it. So if you want to smell like a bakery this is your new friend.

Varm, dessert like vanilla, like a vanilla bean thats been warmed in the oven, also has some slight coconut to it. Unfortunately but also expected from the pricetag it does open up strongly with alcohol, doesnt last long, has almost no projection and is not very complex. I do think its worth buying though because when it dries down on skin or clothing it ends up being just a warm, sexy, boozy vanilla thats very comforting. If you dont want to wear it on your skin it also works to spray on your sofa or bedsheets.

It's a fantastic perfume for a low price. It smells like vanilla and is pleasurable to smell. My friend has this perfume and she always smells amazing! I recommend to buy if you like a beachy, vanilla spring scent. It has a great aroma and lasts long. The bottle is easy-to-use but not so unique, but it's still a great one. I will buy it as soon as I see it!

Extremely cheap fragrance for something this long lasting. It is unfortunate I am not old, since I think older people can can pull it off better than someone who is in their 20s. My grandma likes it very much and lasts extremely long on her clothes. Nice vanilla smell and one of the best fragrances in this price range.

This very affordable vanilla perfume, layered with the pink one from the same brand smells divine! I wore the combination for years back in high school. Would not wear it alone, as it could remind me of sweat when over spraying. I should probably pick up a bottle of the two perfumes for the late spring/summer.

REALLY good, lasts super long, at least on clothes, if I spray it on clothes it lasts pretty much until I wash them. Really good vanilla scent, super afforadable and in my opinion smells fantastic. Maybe like a vanilla drink? I always spray it on my clothes when it’s winter/fall😊

Definently recommending this perfume to anyone that loves the scent of vanilla! Smells great and it lasts around atleast 6 hours. The bottle however has nothing special going on. Would give this perfume an 8/10 because of the scent, still love the bottle though!

Esse tem o puro cheiro de baunilha, nos primeiros dias achei fraco, mas depois de um mês parece que ele mudou, ficou mais forte, melhorou a fixação e projeção. Gosto de misturar ele com os perfumes mais cítricos pra adoça-los um pouco, fica ótimo

Straightforward vanilla. I can't detect any other notes, it's just vanilla. But since I love vanilla that's great. It's warm and cozy without being overly sweet or stuffy. I love to wear this at home or to bed, it's a comfort scent for me.

This is close to a perfect vanilla. And I can't believe it, for such a price! The other notes compliment the vanilla perfectly. There isn't much progression scent-wise, but I don't mind. Too bad it's not very long lasting.

okay i had it years ago even before it wasn't included in the catalog here. this perfume made me love vanilla scent! i wore it in the morning and its longevity went well. it's a big deal since i live in a tropical country.

Idk why this perfume has so many notes but it smells like vanilla extract. It kind of reminds me of bianco latte. Not fully but like the vanilla and caramel in bianco latte. Definitely love this!

This delicious perfume is so sweet that you'll get cavities just by smelling it! :) It's totally to my liking who loves potent sweet vanilla scents! It is addictive! Yummy for body and soul!

I love this perfume. I found it for a bargin, and for a cheepie is really really good. I love the scent of vanilla, and it ́s not in a cloyting way. It ́s just like a vanilla cookie.

This is what I wanted. A base vanilla scent to layer with my more prodominant perfumes. With Lattafa Nuha Cherry Blush I smell like Risalamande! It's a danish Christmas desert. 😅

I love this and the price makes me love it even more. I do get the Play-Doh comparison, but I’m a weirdo who likes that scent.

I’m a gay guy who loves coconut and vanilla perfumes, sunbed summer smells all year round type of guy, so I’m basically trying and reviewing everything that’s cheap and comes close. This one does. If you’re planning to wear it on its own; don’t. As another reviewer said, its great for layering. Sure its sweet but it also reminds me of incense in a way. Its definitely a synthetic vanilla and less comforting than Alyssa Ashley vanilla, which i often spray on my bed before i go to sleep since its soooo comforting, but its still charming. It’s a quite sexy cheapy scent like going to a bar and ordering a cheap malibu coke. Can’t say how long it lasts or the sillage but for the price; you might as well. UPDATE: it’s kinda great. first spray is very synthetic alcohol type of scent. I’ve actually been wearing it on its own and when it dries down its very non offensive. Easy repurchase when I run out! UPDATE 2: Okay so, its kind of amazing. Boozy vanilla, very sexy, almost incense like. Definitely unisex & daring. Where vanilla is usually sweet, this is seductive & inviting. Also pairs easily with almost every other fragrance.

Here's my two cents: I think I am someone who does not enjoy pure vanilla notes on me. The first vanilla perfume I decided to try out was Alyssa Ashley Vanilla, and I found it way too sickly sweet and edible smelling on me. Couldn't stand it, even though it is delicious in the bottle. I actually find this one way more pleasant. It isn't so much of a foodie. In the bottle I find this to smell like vanilla candles. Synthetic and soothing in the sense of a relaxing bath time. On my skin it turns oddly spicy, like a liquor. A little spicy, a little dark. Now it could be a luxurious hair care product. It's sweet but not fluffy sugary. I also do not find this as warm as Alyssa Ashley's Vanilla. I would call it cooler in comparison. Nothing about this screams "cheap" to me, despite the greatly affordable price. A darker, sexier and edgier vanilla product that does not make your mouth water for vanilla cupcakes. Something dark brown, syrupy black in color. It turns out I still can't wear vanilla by itself, but I like it!

Oh boy, what fun stuff! :-D Where I live, this costs under five euros for 30 ml, so quite a bargain! Just bought my second bottle, just to be sure I have a back up ready in case the shop where I found it happens to drop this from their selection. To me this pretty much a straight up vanilla scent with (possibly) some very toned down amber/coconut/sandalwood. I cannot really say I smell much of the flowers mentioned. To me, this scent has a very strong association with desserts, such as making a vanilla mousse from a packet of a special flour-water mix. I find there is very little development from first spray until drydown, but that's quite alright. I use this in the evenings to calm down from the day and relax before going to bed. The scent lasts until next morning and on clothing for several days. Surprisingly good longevity for this price group!

I quite honestly do not detect notes any other than just pure vanilla/vanillin, can't for the life of me hallucinate apple or... bamboo (...what?) on it, but it's not a bad thing necessarily. This is a good affordable simple vanilla, better than a lot of supposed adjacents I've sampled on skin. Over a decade ago I used to be a real sucker for the Yves Rocher Vanilla and this fills that slot on a general level for me. Good enough on its own, but also layerable if you want to warm up or round out another perfume by giving it more of a vanillic, gourmandic dimension. Will accentuate honey, honey-like and sweeter wood notes and accords when used in such way. I layered Vanilla Touch with I Heart Revolution's Pure Gold and it works fine for me. I'm gleaning some good utility from this one.

At first it seemed to me like a cheap, alcoholized vanilla, but after a while it turns into a synthetic vanilla, not in the most horrible way, but much more decent than you would expect.Honestly, it doesn't bother me, I've smelled synthetic vanilla in much more expensive perfumes, something bad about Vailla Touch, it's not something sharp or suspicious. For its price, it smells really good.The protection and longevity for this price are surprisingly good. I understand where the plastic smell comes from, I've felt this in other vanilla perfumes. There's quite a bit of it in this perfume.But not terribly bothersome in my opinion. Great for layering, or worn to the office if you don't want to invest a lot for an everyday perfume.

First off, it’s extremely affordable. I’ve been on a mission to try any vanilla perfume I can get my hands on to re-experience the love I had for the Body Shop’s Vanilla Oil of the 90’s and early aughts (discontinued). Sad to say, this isn’t it. But, it is a pleasant perfume in its own right. The longevity is better than expected and the dry down leaves a sweet powdery vanilla on my skin. It’s better than the current Body Shop Vanilla which to me is too plastic smelling. To my nose, La Rive does not give a play-dough smell or any other smelly chemicals. It’s nice for the price point and fine on its own or good for layering. I’m glad to have it and happy I went for the 100 ml bottle vs. the smaller one.

I was looking for a nice vanilla cheapie in a pinch and this does the job perfectly. the longevity is pretty okay but since a 90 ml bottle is so cheap it doesn't really matter. projection is pretty good thou. I get a refreshing non cloying sweet vanilla. does it slightly smell like play doh in the beginning? yes, absolutely. but I wouldn't say that that's a bad thing...! I can definitely imagine wearing this year round since it's not a heavy scent. even in the summer it would be cute. and I can definitely imagine wearing this as a sleep scent as well. I also get some coconut from the drydown and after a while it smells like a fancy creamy vanilla candle. overall, very nice especially for the price!

This is my favorite cheapie I think! It was only 4 euros for 30ml and it's an almost boozy vanilla that's really pleasant to me. I was looking for a straight-up vanilla scent for a while, and I think this is the most affordable one that could fit that profile. There is a kind of plastic background to it that I think is more prominent if you layer it with something more potent, which I often do, but it's really not that bad and on its own it's really nice! This is the kind of perfume that you could keep in your bag for day-to-day wear when you're out of the house for a long time, but I like layering it with other vanilla-forward fragrances. Overall worth it, likely will repurchase when I finish it.

It's just pure vanilla. I use it from time to time and like it, but i must say that it sometimes makes me nauseous like someone else said. I think that's because it's so aggressive smell. On my skin it lasts for about 4 hours on strong, then starts to fade but definitely 6h lasting. Suits maybe more on winter and autumn. Try it before buying! Sillage is huge in this one when you spray it first, and i've gotten so many compliments on the smell and people have asked where can they buy it too. I dont think this is a good fragrance for work because it most definitely will disturb others who might get a headache.

For the price I paid for it (which was around 7 to 10 euros) it is not at all bad. Straight out the bottle it is a bit playdoh-ish and very strong, but once it settles on the skin, it is a sweet and yummy pure vanilla, with a hint of floral as well. I found the longevity satisfying to myself, it faded from moderate to intimate, but still there on my skin at the end of the day. I'm more of a floral girl, but for the colder seasons I see myself really using this. Not so much in this musty summer heat. I recommend this perfume for someone whose budget is not very high, who wants a strong vanilla.

This is an inspiration of Hypnotic Poison, in my opinion, with the plum, coconut and vanilla making up that major deep accord that you smell. It does have a certain smell that is very unlike your normal fragrance. Viva Vanilla from Bath and Body Works smells similar to me but with amber at the base; however, that vanilla and plum combination helped me come to my conclusions. I bought an oil inspiration of Hypnotic Poison online to wear with Vanilla Touch. At home, I love to radiate fragrance! ;-) Adding Viva Vanilla and/or Banana Republic Tobacco & Tonka Bean with it is niiice.;-)

This is probably not the best perfume to wear on its own since it smells very nice but does lowkey have a slightly synthetic or playdoughy smell, BUT it smells absolutely amazing when layered eith ex (bare vanilla, eilish no1, sdj 62/71, etc) and it lasts very long! I also think that it smells like playdo only sometimes (either in the beginning or when it's VERY dried down) but most of the time, especially when layered, it smells fine. I recommend this if you like sweet vanilla scents that are perfect as a base or for layering and won't make a dent in your wallet :)

ooh, this is an interesting one. when i first got it, it opened very floral and woody and settled into a very woody vanilla after a few minutes. now that's it's been sitting for around a month, it still opens very woody but turns into straight up vanilla extract, like, five minutes in. this one is a strong one. sprayed it on my wrists, neck and behind my ears and honestly even i couldn't stand myself. it's worth the price, i think. just be careful with it and you'll smell nice. not great, but pretty good.

I had this a few years ago, recently bought the 30 ml again and I have to say it's still a good vanilla scent. It opens with a lot of alcohol and at first becomes more like play doh, probably because of the coumarin, but then it settles so nicely on my skin and becomes a classic powdery vanilla with a sensual touch of sandalwood. My husband likes this, he even thought it was sexy. It's basic but still not, I think it has something addictive. It is also cheap and lasts very well on the skin.

I like this perfume and I got it for only 5 euros. It does not smell like pure vanilla, but more like a vanilla liqueur. Even though I don’t get any of the flower or fruit tones, it does smell pretty good. I used to use this to layer perfume, so I don’t know how long this scent lasts on it’s own. Since my mom and sister kept using this without me knowing, it’s now finished. I think I’m gonna buy another bottle and check out other La Rive perfumes while I’m at it.

you can’t really expect much for such a cheap perfume. at first it just smells like alcohol but after a few seconds it turns into a sweet vanilla (kinda plasticy unfortunately😐) it turns into a skin like vanilla smell after an hour or two that you barely notice but it still makes you smell cozy and sweet KINDA like ellish by billie ellish but it’s very very faint

It is very synthetic but not in a horrible way. Reminds me of how a vanilla Wunderbaum smells like, or the vanilla scented ereasers I collected as a kid. It is sweet, warm and inoffensive, a safe blindbuy for any vanilla-lover Something in it also makes me think of the boozy vanilla in rum. Moderate sillage and longevity on my skin.

I don't get it. People find this one gross and I love it, honestly it is fine vanilla scent. It is straight vanilla and you could smell the jasmine too, maybe a bit of musk but I do not notice other listed notes here. It is sugary vanilla with a hint of fresh powdery jasmine. Also I don't find it too synthetic also.

I bought this on a whim years ago because it was so cheap. On its own it's just a very basic vanilla, nothing to write home about about and definitely a little synthetic, but it does wonders in layering. I still make sure I have a few of these lying around if I want to add warmth and sweetness to other perfumes.

This was a gift from a friend. Synthetic, but I honestly love it. Very spicy and ambery, but also somewhat creamy and caramelly with the vanilla. Almost boozy like, like bourbon? Not for everyone due to it's syntheticness, but if you're into stronger scents this one is good. A solid wear for colder seasons.

This is the first La Rive perfume I like! The longevity is not good, which is to be expected (and yeah, I'll test it in winter too), but what surprised me is how similar it is to Van Cleef & Arpels' Orchidee Vanille! I hope I'm not the only one that smells it.

My sister layer everything with this and she smells awesome. Such a great cheapie! A bit play doh or candy-ish in it's representation. No, it's not a realistic smelling vanilla, but it's"synthetic" in the best possible way. Good projection!

Vanilla yeah. An awesome, pure, concentrated vanilla scent. I sense some bitter almond notes under the cloud of vanilla, which makes it really interesting.
