L.12.12 Blanc Eau Fraîche Eau de Toilette For Him

I’ve been spending some time with this one lately, and honestly, it’s really grown on me. This might end up being my favorite cheapie in the collection right now. It opens up with a super refreshing blast of grapefruit and ginger that feels bright, zesty, and full of energy. There’s a crispness to it that immediately grabs your attention. As it starts to settle, that aromatic heart comes through with juniper and a soft lavender touch, keeping everything clean, green, and effortlessly fresh. The dry down brings in a light vetiver base that adds just enough earthiness without ever weighing the scent down. It stays airy from start to finish. This is the definition of a spring fragrance, very green, very fresh, and incredibly easy to wear. I actually wore this on Easter, and it fit the vibe perfectly. Clean, crisp, and put together without trying too hard. Performance is really the only downside. I get around 4 hours total with moderate projection for the first hour to hour and a half, then it sits closer to the skin. But at this price point, it’s easy to reapply or just go heavier on the sprays. Overall, this might be one of my best pickups of the year so far. Super versatile, super fresh, and just an easy grab when you want to smell clean and put together.

I sampled this last summer when I was purchasing Dior Homme Cologne as I was on a citrus kick at the time. Along with the name Fraiche, the lime green color of the juice, and the almost astringent fizzy blast of citrus indeed reminded me of a refreshing drink in the heat of summer. I almost bought it retail but decided to wait until it hit discounters. Got mine from Jomashop. If you like the original, and you like citrus frags in the heat, then you would dig this. Less florals, more citrus. Same performance or lack thereof and still has that hairspray harshness that the original has. If you can deal with that, and you're still interested, then I'd say it's worth the forty or so dollars to have this bit of flavor in your summer fragrance wardrobe. Update: Sprayed this on after a shower tonight and as it dried it actually slightly reminded me of Platinum Egoiste, a fragrance I have much experience with. Something about the lavender, vetiver, and almost metallic brightness of the citrus gave me that same feeling. They are each on an entirely different level of course, but I thought it was an interesting observation. Just sampled the recently discontinued Y Eau Fraiche and these two are similar to my nose.

In a word: it's a Gin-Lemon This is really nice! It opens with a mix of sweet and somewhat tart citruses, not at all dish soap or cleaner like, but very juicy instead. Reminds me of homemade lemonade. Those citruses stay in front for 45 minutes or so, leaving then room for the fresh blue notes to come through (to which my nose sadly goes blind quite quickly, so i cannot enjoy them for long). The blue notes are sweeter than most usual blue frangrances, minty and bright (is it the juniper?), leaning very young. For the first 2 hours, whenever you work up a sweat, the citruses unexpectedly come back, giving back fullness to the fragrance. After the 3rd, it becomes a faint skin scent (5 sprays total. It needs 8 sprays to actually perform). If you have long hair, i suggest you spray a couple of spritzes on them to have the fragrance last more! It's really not that heavy or cloying at all, it's enjoyable to have it so close to your nose If you get it for 30€ like i did, you can't go wrong. Don't pay 90€ for it!

@BrennenH If you have a weird experience with a fragrance that has nothing to do with the fragrance itself but still completely biases you against the scent, you can just like, not leave a review, you know that right? Why should the score for the fragrance be lowered for everyone reading this page because you had a gross roommate. No one else that comes here is going to have to deal with your roommate, they just want to know if this fragrance is good. I'm going to try to counteract your inappropriate negative rating with a positive one.

This is a softer, lighter, and, in my opinion, much better fragrance than Hugo Boss Unlimited. It's refreshing and invigorating, simple, and masculine. Longevity is to be desired but scent-wise this is great. I think it's very crisp but it doesn't have to be in the L.12.12 line, much less 'blanc'. Nevertheless, I do like it a lot and will consider getting a bottle if I have the chance. Not groundbreaking or anything, but recommended if you're a citrus enjoyer.

Refreshing and sporty fragrance. Zingy Citrus and Ginger with some aromatics behind it to smooth it out. Even though there's no listing of it I get a bit of a Mint Leaf accord, but that could just be how the Pickled Ginger note interacts with the Citruses, and Lavender. Has almost a cooling effect when you spray it on would picture using this on a very hot Summer day, or when going Sporting out to the golf course, tennis court.

Definitely extremely similar if not a clone of Hugo Boss unlimited but with better performance and more aromatic. Great warm weather refreshing scent that’s different from the same ole citrus they keep overwhelming us with. This is really great and enjoyable. The performance is good for about 5 hours before it disappears. Can’t see anyone being offended by this.

The stuff is so good on a sunny summer morning. It’s so fresh and uplifting. It’s funny how the color of juice will actually be in your head, but I do get that aqua green color when smelling it. I wear a ton of different fragrances to work and this is one of my most complimented. Give it a try.

A simple yet great smelling fragrance. Sometimes simple is all you need when you just want to smell good without a complex multi layered fragrance. It's a super juicy citrus with some tangy ginger and an ambroxan base. Only down side is longevity is lacking but I just over spray lol

This is one of my all-time favorite fragrances. Although the notes seem fairly standard, they come together in a way that is so delicious and that smells like nothing else out there. This is the best Lacoste fragrance in my opinion.

Very green and airy in the opening, and dries down to a fresh-sweet deliciousness. It's not a major mature release, obviously, but still quite classy. So, if you know what you're looking for, you can't go wrong with this.

I am not big fan of Lacoste perfumes, but this one took me by surprise. It is very refreshing in high summer heat. You will mainly get grapefruit, apple and ginger. Performance and projection are average.

I would pick this up if it ever hits discounters. A very refreshing smell that will put a smile on anyone's face. I also just want it because I really like the green clear bottle.

This one reminds me of the the CK one summer fragrances. Fresh top notes and semi-musky drydown. 7/10

Very nice fresh citrus fragrance, great summer and sport scent, but longetivity is not the best.

I really like this fresh spring and summer offering! It's got that snappy ginger accompanying a bright lemon punch on top. So clean and fresh. The too notes (which tend to linger all the way through the dry down) tends to have a sugary citrus that is perfectly balanced between brightness and sweet. The dry down is a creamy velvety citrus. Smooth and calming. This release somewhat reminds me of a lighter summer version of Bvlgari Wood Essence..... Minus the depth of the woods. Opening with sweet and sugared citrus..... Dry down soft and mellow. Longevity is just ..... Meh. However, it's cheap and and can be reapplied throughout the day. Not a total issue. Or, perhaps it's better than I think and I'm just noseblind after wearing it for so long. The bottle is beautiful with the green juice. Cap is cheap and white. Give it a whirl..... It's better than mediocre. It can be pulled off by most ages....

Smells really nice and fresh, but smells almost exactly like L12.12 Blanc Jeremyville edition that I already own. I don't wear the J-ville edition that often so didn't realize the similarity at first (I didn't try on my skin until after I bought it either, just the test strip). The main difference is that Eau Fraiche is just a little lighter/brighter, and has slightly less performance than the J-ville. I also have to say the J-ville ed. is better overall; however, this is one that you can't really go wrong with, very inoffensive and crowd pleasing type, for all ages due to the summery profile but would probably lean a little more youth-y. I would wait for discounters on this one. **Sidenote, I didn't even realize this was a "Blanc" flanker, bought at Macy's and didn't notice that on the box, and the juice is green so I had no idea**

It's like a grape remix of Dior Homme Cologne. While it has some deeper notes, it's a fresh fragrance in the end, for some it's very fresh and pleasant, but for some it may remind them of cleaning products with how citrus forward it is. Sure the drydown is a bit woody with the cedar, but for me it's just grape and nothing more. But hey, smelling like grape is better than smelling like nothing. That almost single note simpleness is something I really like sometimes, and grape is just a top tier fruit.

As far as I can tell, this is only available from Macy’s in the US and they don’t ship this abroad. Does anyone know if/when this will be available in the UK? Update: Have obtained it from Lacoste‘a own website. First impressions, it smells a lot like JPG In The Navy. I don’t pick up any ginger.

Refreshing lemonade vibes, similar to Dior Homme Cologne. Instantly likeable and mass appealing. Perfect for hotter days, where you just want something super fresh. Longevity and Sillage are only mediocre though. Still, good value for the price. Just reapply if needed. Also hard to overspray.

This is a fresh citrusy perfume and It is not special. I received Two samples of that when I bought my new perfumes. It opens up with fresh citrusy , fruity and spices notes in the background then dry down is green woody. Longevity is Average. It is suitable for Hot weather. Rating : 7 / 10

Ginger and Ambroxan slightly overpower everything else, otherwise a good fresh scent for summery days. I'd recommend this to anyone "sporty" from 17-30 years old. Value is not bad; once it reaches the discounters, it will be a no-brainer as a summer chill after gym scent.

I like it. Super fresh and enjoyable scent. Citrus, Ginger and fruity scent. Those are the notes that you get. Mass appealing for sure. Warmer weather for sure. Casual wear for sure. Simply uplifting scent. I like it.

Pleasant and inoffensive. It became a skin scent very quickly on me. A very light touch of ambroxan so really the ginger and lavender are the stars of the show. This could be a grocery getter/gym fragrance for sure, but nothing I'd be interested paying $30 for. I've not yet seen it at the rack stores but I'd be a buyer at that price since it's cheap enough one could reapply throughout the day.

I’m surprised by the long lasting citric top notes, and the creamy woodiness. Seems like the ginger ties things together. Not a fan of ambroxan heavy scents but I can tolerate it here. However, this is something I’d wear more if I were way younger, like in my teens.

A cross between Hugo Boss Unlimited and Lacoste blanc edt minus that tuberose which is very good. Perfect for the gym and different activities outside the house during the summer. Longevity and projection are moderate. On a scale from 1 to 10 i'll give it a 7

Hyped but the fragrance has a little substance. A freshie. That all. Its smell good don't get me wrong, but it's just Ok. Someone said it's reminded me of Platinum Egoiste, thats an insult to Platinum Egoiste 🤥. Projection and longevity are good though.

I am quite disappointed not to experience a strong ginger. I got a blast of citrus top note that lasted only a few moments. Strong presence of apple follows for perhaps ten minutes. Within twenty minutes, just lavender.

I found the ginger in the opening to be a bit too strong for my taste. I think it would be better if the ginger note was toned down a little. Plus, it doesn't last very long—maybe about 90 minutes at best.

OK, so I promised myself I wouldn't do any ratings anymore because I would get way too into rating all of my fragrances and I've got more than 50 at this point. They take too much time and I would get way too much encouragement from all of the likes that my reviews would get lol. Did not have notifications Or at least have an option for us to not get notifications. So I'm Afghan American. American born and raised, but Central Asian or Middle Eastern by blood. So KEEP THAT IN MIND; we all have different skin chemistry. I would LOVE to see what other guys from that region of the world would say about this on THEIR skin. BUUUUT I decided to come back and do this because no one said this so far. And it just feels like. Has been hyped up and it's not popular enough to get as many opinions. Here I am giving my true and honest opinion: While I do enjoy this, I definitely do think that this fragrance does smell like body odor. like. B.O. And I don't know why anyone else has not said that. It smells a lot like sushi. Because of the ginger, I'm sure. And ever since someone pointed that out. I just can't stop smelling sushi. And Bo. Don't get me wrong. It's extremely fresh. It doesn't really smell clean though. There's a blast of citrus that really doesn't smell that much like citrus (Like Versace Man Eau Fraiche and Dior Homme Cologne and others do).

The opening is citrusy fresh, smells really good. But it lasts about 5-10 minutes. After that, all I can smell is lavender, only lavender and nothing but lavender. The opening is a lie, very disappointing.

First Pass - This is a citrus bomb, but somehow it doesn't cross the threshold into smelling like a household cleaner It's also very clean. I get some soapy notes with a twist. And fresh, but with a sporty undercurrent 1 Hour Later - The sporty notes are gone. So is the freshness. Full-on citrus 12 + 24 hours later - It is the citrus show. The notes are bright and sharp, and will not quit I wanted to like Fraiche. The opening was so balanced and interesting. It was fresh but not generic deodorant and crisp citrus without being a cleaning solvent. Something gets lost in the dry down. The citrus stays at a level 10 and the other notes disappear. The effect is that it ultimately smells like lemon Lysol for me ***Scents, like tastes, are subjective. Wear what you like***

Cheered me up. The ambroxan gives it a bit of oomph in the base, making you want to smell it more. Albeit a bit basic citrus-cedar vibe, it's a cute summer freshie. The cedar dries down nicely and sweetly. Update: the citrus chemical cleaner vibe gave me a headache, points deduced.

After a year, still waiting patiently for this to hit discounters. Nowhere to be seen. I think online stores are confused about the dozens of similar variations and forgot about this one. Very easy wear and likable. Scent is fresh without any overbearing notes. Very much a people pleaser and a smooth blend. It's not super unique or generic. Somewhere in the middle. Not worth the $91USD price tag though.

Very nice opening. Goes generic after that. I purchased this based on the amazing opening and should have known better - such an amateur move! I don't hate it, it's just ok. Feels like a typical sports body wash once it hits the dry down.

Very good fresh and sweet scent. Nice apple note. It was not mentioned here but there are similarities with Mont Blanc Legend Spirit , it is more sweet than I was expecting but it’s very nice. Nothing groundbreaking though

It's a pleasant smell, but just way too juvenile. Doesn't help that this is easily unisex as well. If I was 8th grade I'd be rocking the hell out of it. In my early 30s, it just feels wrong to wear.

Good, light scent for spring and summer. Uplifting and reminds me of PDM Greenly on the dry down. Lasts about 5-6 hours / moderate projection. Great for the gym

smells like a mix of blanc edt and yellow, if other lacoste fragrances you tried smell like a teenager this will have the same affect.
