11 11 Vanilla

I've smelled the original Lake & Skye 11 11 that's a less vanilla, more ozonic, mineral, or marine version of Byredo Gypsy Water, a lemony-pine woody vanilla. Lake & Skye 11 11 Vanilla is like the original with a touch of gourmand sweetness. Initially, something about 11 11 Vanilla was off to me and didn't blend. Like my stomach wanted to get queasy even if it didn't. I've since tested some more and I now love it lol! I feel like this will work best in warmth and heat so I can't wait for spring to amp up. Indoors when it's cool is not so bad either. The cheap cleaner/rubbing alcohol/lemon-piney gin/cotton candy clashing smell I got before, now just smell like clean aldehydes, salted tropical watery fruit, and a musky marshmallow vanilla. Amazing and girly. Moderate projection, kind of far reaching than moderate tbh, until the 4th hour mark when it becomes criminally faint. Lasts about 6 hours on me. I guess I'm opposite from some reviews saying they can't smell it at all right after spraying it. For comparisons: Smells like a better version of Clean Reserve Skin that was getting too sweet and cloying from the praline, clashing with the salt on me. Since they're both clean fragrances, I'll stick with this. 11 11 Vanilla also is lighter than Clean Reserve Whipped Cherry that has this similar watery fruit vibe with sweetness from vanilla and praline. The cherry was getting too sweet and syrupy as it sat, and wouldn't have worked in spring and summer for me. It also came off as cleaner too, and being thicker than 11 11 made that aspect stronger.

This is one of the best examples I have come across of "smells entirely different on skin than on paper." On paper, I smelled... nothing. I wasn't sure if i was just noseblind to it or what, but I couldn't smell a thing. I put my sample aside and forgot about it. Got curious tonight and sprayed it onto my wrists... I'm in love. What a lovely, well-balanced fragrance! So intimate and soft, but with fresh notes from the salt and starapple. As a whole, the scent gives soft, fresh, sweet, with salt that slides through the scent and tones down the marshmallow and vanilla notes. The notes on here are surprisingly accurate; if I smell it and think of each one separately, I can pick out each note, but they're so well-balanced and subtle that you don't really focus on one as a whole, besides maybe the sharp freshness of the salt off the bat. Don't trust the smell on a blotter card. Spray it directly onto your skin. Edit: after wearing my sample for a few days, I couldn't help but get a full bottle. Whenever I wear this, people say "it smells so good, but I can't tell what it is." Someone said "neon lights, 80s bar," another said "clean and sweet," and no matter how far off or right on they are, all I know is, I'm with them: I can't stop sniffing myself. One of the most addictive fragrances I have EVER come across. So glad I gave this a chance on skin and clothes instead of paper. My life is forever changed, I swear.

I love this scent so much! It's become a signature scent for me this winter :) It has the original 11 11 DNA, but is less ozonic and is definitely sweeter. I love the original 11 11 and love wearing it when I want a super fresh/clean smell, but sometimes I want to smell cozier than the original 11 11 achieves for me. I would say that if you love 11 11 but found it to be a bit austere or more unisex than suits your preference, try 11 11 Vanilla! It's warmer, sweeter, softer, and very inviting. The star apple and sea salt really shine upon first spray and the notes come across as a fresh, airy, sweet musk. After a while of wearing it, the vanilla, marshmallow, and passionflower become more prominent and the perfume becomes the most cozy, warm, sweet, understated yet girly, musky skin scent. It's like wearing a warm hug as a perfume. It sits very close to the skin, but I get wafts of it throughout the day while wearing it. It lasts much longer if sprayed on my clothes than it does on my skin, which I don't mind. It lasts longer and still smells amazing if layered on top of the original 11 11 perfume oil! That's what I do for my everyday combo :) I adore this scent profile, it's subtle and natural and I feel like it's versatile enough to wear year round. I've been loving it for fall and can see myself wearing it into the winter as well.

This is what I wish JHAG Vanilla Vibes was!! Super airy, subtly sweet vanilla-- the same DNA of the OG 11 11 but it's like the vanilla forgot it was supposed to come early and ran in at just the right time. The salt and star apple is so crisp and unique at the top. It's the perfect combination of sweet and fresh. It's like that feeling of taking a huge bite into a nice cold plum. The marshmallow and vanilla take a while to come out, and when they do, it's quite subtle. Do not expect the gourmand sugarbomb of your dreams-- that crispy fresh star apple DNA is still very present. More like you just squeezed it and you're getting the nectar smell and there's some warm marshmallows in the next room. As I smell myself the vanilla becomes richer bit by bit but never overpowers. I like it! I absolutely ADORE the star apple note in this, I think it's so unique and I'd love to see it in more fragrance. My love for this fragrance has only gotten stronger as time goes on as I revisit this page in September 2025, I fall in love with something else about this perfume every day...

this is the most gorgeous perfume i’ve ever had!! i bought a travel size a few months ago and within a month it was gone. 11 11 vanilla is a stunning mix of an ozonic, aldehydic background and a light, airy vanilla. imagine taking a morning everything shower with vanilla products, picture a vanilla shower gel from philosophy, and then slipping into a fresh, clean lounge set straight from the dryer. the vanilla is subtle, but there. i love the original 11 11, but it was always missing something, and 11 11 vanilla is the exact perfume i was looking for. it doesn’t have great longevity or projection, but it literally smells like heaven. overall, 1000/10, -1 point for the longevity :)

This is the kind of perfume that ends up being a signature scent, it's SO GOOD! It's a clean musk scent with a hint of vanilla/marshmallow. Its an effortless jeans & tshirt type of scent. The lasting power isn't great, but I liked it enough to buy the perfume oil to boost it. This works in cold and hot weather for me. I reach for this when I can't figure out what I want to wear and it never fails to impress me. I have a pretty big perfume collection and I don't have anything else quite like this, can't say enough good things about it. It was love at first sniff :)

When I first sprayed this in-store, I wasn't impressed because it smelled too generic with a slightly sour note. But first impressions aren't everything. After letting the perfume settle, you smell subtle saltiness and an aquatic note, which blends beautifully with the advertised "airy marshmallow vanilla" essence of 11 11 Vanilla. This isn't a true gourmand. It's more of a clean vanilla scent without any powderiness. It's exactly what I wished Dulce by Rosie Jane smelled like, and I'll definitely be going back to purchase it.

This is my new signature, and backup bottle worthy! I have only sampled the original, and I liked it, but I prefer softer fluffier scents. This is exactly that; a pink fluffy version of the original. I get the star apple first, then a creamy musk. The drydown is a mesmerizing airy marshmallow with a hint of salt. Sweet and feminine, but still very clean and musky. My only complaint is I have to spray more than usual, and there's very little projection, but I don't mind that for a skin scent.

What the label says! The original 11 11 clearly comes through, but only from underneath a soft, fluffy layer of vanilla musk. Then the star apple and sea salt briefly come off a little strangely savory-sour maybe? They've grown on me somewhat. And those moments pass, and overall, 11 11 Vanilla is really enjoyable. As much as I was convinced, though, that this might be a new signature, I think I still like 11 11 on its own more, and my favorite vanilla fragrances on their own

I love how versatile this is. Its a great daytime fragrance for any situation in any season. I love the original 11:11 but was mixing it with a vanilla oil. With the addition of this. I dont have to do that anymore. I suggest using both the oil & spray for better sillage & longevity. Its a warm comforting, sophisticated, marine vanilla, not too artificial or cloyingly sweet. The hint of marshmallow adds the sugar & the musk is gentle & warm.

This is a clean girl vanilla. I really do like this. Of all the 1111 perfumes, vanilla is my favorite. It smells cozy but very clean. If you wish to smell indescribable, yet very detectable then pick this up! This would be an amazing signature scent. I smelled it in store and immediately had to purchase. It’s like a clean marshmallow. A cozy, clean, ozonic pink marshmallow cloud of vanilla.

This perfume is beautiful. When I first sprayed, it immediately reminded me of beach nights by bath and body works but a more mature/skin scent version. It is clean, vanilla, salty just perfect. It reminds me of staying at an old beach house and you spent all day in the water and now you’re making smores. It’s not too gourmand and smells like you naturally smell this good.

Just received mine and I love it. Fresh, clean vanilla. To me it is different enough from the original 11 11 to own both. I find it a great value as well. Lasted all day when sprayed on skin & clothes

I absolutely love this scent so much. I usually mix it with DedCool Xtra Milk and the two of them create a lovely vanilla skin scent. I just wish it lasted longer!! ;(

Warm vanilla, mixed with floral and marshmallow. Exactly as described. Beautiful scent, and I will be buying more. If you're into vanillas, you'll want this one.

I don't have the original 11 11, so I can't comment on that but... This does smell good, I just have some associations with it that throw it off for me personally. For me, the sea salt note comes across as fishy to me, like literal fishiness. It's not strong, at all, but it does make it feel like the scent is some sort of sealife / seafood vanilla it's quite strange. I still like it anyway. It also kind of smells like if nail polish were to smell like vanilla or otherwise a vanilla nail salon but without the strength or without the 'burns your nose and overwhelms you' aspect like if it was more soft and subtle than toxic. It's for those reasons I don't love it, but despite those associations the fact I still like it as much as I do is surprising. Definitely agree that this is a skin scent for during the day, I can also get the association of a clean out the shower vanilla but for me personally it's not as forefront as the other bad associations I listed above. All in all the words "clean" "faint" "natural" "light" "creamy" "salty" that were mentioned in past reviews are about as best as you can really describe it. I want to sort of compare it to Montale Vanille Absolu because for me unfortunately I do agree with the negative reviews that the vanilla is a little bit synthetic, it's the same synthetic as Montale's but just without the metallic smell to it and it's less potent. Dunno probably just me.

I like this fragrance a lot, mainly because it’s similar to another one of my favorites. I couldn’t figure it out at first, but then it hit me: it is very, very close to smelling exactly like the discontinued fragrance Beach Nights from Bath & Body Works. The marshmallow, vanilla, teakwood and sea salt all are the same notes that are in Beach Nights, giving it a very nice salt air and toasted marshmallow scent. The differences are the fruity kick of the star apple note and airiness in 11 11 Vanilla give it a sort of "daytime" feel, and the smoky chocolate note and elevated sweetness in Beach Nights give it a "nighttime" vibe. I’m also not a super big fan on the projection; it is very much a skin scent, but I was expecting that. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for an office-safe toasted marshmallow scent, or a lighter, less sweet, close enough dupe for Bath & Body Work’s Beach Nights. Coming back to say I tested 11 11 Vanilla on one wrist and Beach Nights on the other to compare, and all of my above statements still stand. The only thing I want to add is that both the longevity and projection is better with Beach Nights, for my skin personally. Take that as you will. But I personally would not buy this fragrance at full price- buy secondhand or wait for a sale like I did.

i get melon when first sprayed? but that goes away quickly and turns into a soft, salty, airy, vaguely sweet concoction that is beautiful! super delicate and lovely!!! it’s almost hard to describe. an understated and gorgeous scent. very clean and fresh with just a hint of sweetness from the vanilla to keep a sugary fragrance lover like me intrigued and wanting more. i adore this so much, but the performance is poor. if the longevity was better i would wear this all day, everyday. lasts like.. maybe an hour tops (if you overspray) until it turns into a watery phantom of a clean perfume. i know it’s advertised as a skin scent but this turns into sweet nothings within minutes. it’s so freaking pretty though, still in love with it despite the longevity. also does not smell like anything when sprayed on clothing, at least for me. i layered this with burberry goddess (sprayed first), and 11 11 vanilla cuts through the ginger in goddess and makes her a teensy bit sweeter.

I don't see much resemblance to the original 11 11, because that fragrance felt prototypical, unfinished and lacked body. I really liked that one for gym purposes, or for venues where people are instructed to be "fragrance free", because it was so waifish in form and presence. This has true structure to it. The apple and salt is a weird combo, but absolutely WORKS. It's somehow fresh, tart, salty, but still airy. I understand why this is called "Vanilla", because there is some whilst the OG had none, but this isn't really a vanilla fragrance. The vanilla merely serves to round it out, and provides smoothness. It's not even that sweet honestly, this is more of a crisp affair from beginning to end. The wood is also pretty, and again, fresh. It's like sitting on a driftwood log, snacking on apples at the beach 🍎 ⛱️

to preface this review, I am NOT a fan of the original 11 11 fragrance. with that being said, I do like this one! it is not a love because unfortunately, the chemical/sharp opening of the original is present in this one as well. luckily, the saltiness and the added fruit and vanilla notes make it so the dry down turns sweeter and warmer, saving it from reading too much like TV static like the original. at first I thought that this fragrance was gone off of my skin in the hour it took me to get to work after spraying, but as I began to work and started sweating, it began to warm up and it was strong! the strong fragrance only lasted for ~1 hour though, and now 4 hours in all I smell is musk. definitely planning to use up the travel size I have, but will not be buying a full bottle.

A very airy, smooth, beautiful vanilla. Perfect for someone that likes to smell a little sweet even on those hot days. It's the 11 11 DNA with a splash of vanilla. This is not an edible or a food extract vanilla, it is very lightly creamy with a pinch of marshmallow. Fits the clean girl aesthetic. I wish I could find a version of this but in strawberry.

Bought this last year it has already lost its scent!! Just straight alcohol now, so FYI you'll want to use it up quickly 😒 For that reason I won't repurchase, but it was nice when it still smelled like something! I love a salty fragrance and it's a beautiful summer vanilla - like a salted marshmallow with a bit of freshness so not overly gourmand

A close to the skin scent, light and airy with a hint of vanilla in the background. Quiet and unassuming, clean , subtle with a touch of sweetness. A great everyday scent or good for pairing with a more robust fragrance to tone down sweetness etc. It’s a like for me. Last about 4 hours on my skin. So reapply during the day.

A very simple and straight forward vanilla. Fluffy, sweet, innocent. Not gourmand by any means even with the marshmallow note. It’s very airy and classic vanilla. Not full bottle worthy for me since it’s so light. Would be great for adding a vanilla note to any perfume.

I do like this - I'm on my second 50ml bottle. There's something about it that makes me think of Elmer's Glue and I'm somehow here for it. It's definitely a skin scent, but I can smell it on myself for around 4-5 hours.

Sooo pretty! Light, powdery, creamy, and salty vanilla. This is the perfect "popular clean-girl" fragrance. Definitely my favorite vanilla perfume that I have smelled so far.

Testing this as a decant splash. This opens with a fruity-floral burst — sweet, but in a light, "clean" way. The heart brings a soft blend of vanilla and florals, though the vanilla fades almost immediately on my skin, and I don't detect the marshmallow note at all. What’s left is a generic sweet floral that leans a bit adolescent. As it settles, it dries down to a very soft skin scent. No musk or woods ever show up as promised, and the composition never deepens. It’s fine if you enjoy simple, sweet florals, but I wouldn’t consider this a true vanilla perfume. For me, it lacks depth and doesn’t deliver on its note pyramid.

This is nice but familiar. I was hoping for more 11 11 DNA. Instead, I got a very common vanilla musk combination, airy and light. It smells like most vanilla musks. The opening does have that coolness like the original 11 11. It hugs the skin and smells pretty. It isn't a big projector. I'd say it's a safe gift choice. The color is cute, and you can't go wrong with it. I couldn't smell any salt, but it looks like some people can. It lasted about 5-6 hours on my skin.

Not a fan of lae and sky. Even though the vanilla is better IMO than the original.....I don't like either enough to go buy a big bottle. I certainly don't like it enough to wear it again. Testing for a day is enough. Idk what it is but to me these type of fragrances have a chemical smell to them.

The .5 seconds that I can get a whiff of this whisper of a perfume, is nice. I’m glad I got a travel of this for only $19. It is truly not worth the price for how little you get out of it. I just sprayed it about 16 times and idk where it went.

This is a beautiful musky and clean vanilla that last a total 2.5 seconds. Such a shame cause I love the way it smells but cannot justice buying a full bottle when I have bath and body works body sprays that last longer than this.

It’s a skin scent with a very quiet vanilla. Like someone accidentally mentioned the word vanilla in the same room they were developing this fresh aquatic perfume in.

Verrrry faint clean, natural, ozonic, beachy ghost of a scent (even w/ 6 full sprays to same spot on wrist). Not much else to say about it.🤷🏻♀️

I was gifted the sample size for Christmas and thought it would grow on me but really it has done the opposite. All I'm getting from it is musk, sea salt, and something vaguely sweet and cookie-esque - not vanilla, not identifiably marshmallow. Brings back memories of evenings spent at Girl Scout meetings in a stuffy yellow classroom cutting and stamping craft supplies that came from a dusty box in someone's attic while there's a plate of sugar cookies languishing on the table and the fluorescent lights beat down on you. Something about it just makes me feel tired and headachy. I feel like this is a situation where my nose is unable to detect some major notes that make this enjoyable to so many other reviewers, like how I can't taste whatever nastiness most people can taste in the tap water.

This is basically just a cheap, basic vanilla. Whatever other notes they're using, other than sweet and vanilla, just make it smell like plastic. It's like taking a barbie doll out of the box which was scented. It has decent longevity but that's about it. Scent Description: Synthetic Vanilla Sillage: Medium Longevity: Medium 4-6 hours

I agree with @samven123. I’ve tried this on skin and on paper. Upon first spray it’s straight alcohol, once it dries down you get 15 minutes tops. If you really try hard to smell the notes you can detect the essence of vanilla and musk. I’m so confused by this fragrance. Does it need to macerate? Help a girl out... 😬

Got the rollerball. Very disappointed. Smells pretty much like the original (which is my all time favorite) but with a rotten/putrid smell next to it. Had to scrub. I’ll try a few more times to see if maybe it was mixing weird with something on my skin, but thinking I’ll have to sell it.

I only get wood and musk. Smells like men's cologne on me. If you're looking for a vanilla perfume, definitely get a sample before buying and see how it performs on you. I LOVE the original 11 11 so I was bummed this one didn't work for me.

I was hoping to love this. Unfortunately it fell flat for me. This is 11 11 with a very synthetic vanilla added. The notes listed are no where to be found.

I personally don't get any vanilla or marshmallow notes from this, it just smells powdery and somewhat astringent..? almost like a cheap laundry detergent or fabric softener. it also has a bitter/burnt smell to it, and a strong rubbing alcohol scent as it dries down.

As an owner and lover of the OG 11:11, I really don't think you need both of these. I blind bought the full bottle, though, because you really can't go wrong with anything from this line. This one doesn't have that ozonic lake-air crispness that the original does and I actually prefer it in this context despite being a staunch gourmand lover. It's there, but only slightly. It's been overshadowed by a soft waft of vanilla which, in my opinion, sucks the life out of it and pushes it into the category of "just another boring vanilla". I would recommend passing on this version and getting Nemat's Vanilla Musk if you want a really nice vanilla for a good price. Get the original 11:11, though. It's beautiful.

Out of all the indie perfume brands at Ulta, this is the only one worth picking up. The Lake and Skye perfumes have an ethereal freshness that transports me. It's sweet, but in a cloudy way, not a syrupy way. Something about this fragrance is so nostalgic and dreamy... this is a way more unique option for a light, airy, sweet fragrance (so tired of Baccarat Rouge 540 and all it's clones). That star apple is not a common note in fragrances and it's giving this composition something special. Great signature scent for all year round because it's both fresh and sweet with some depth.

This opens with a clean musky scent, smells like laundered clothes with very gentle detergent along with a tame fruity scent from the star apple, and some saltiness. The musk and sea salt in here brings clean reserves skin to mind, although my nose was too sensitive for that one as it was too heavy to my nose. This dries down and you get the slight powderiness and more of that vanilla creme comes out. Not a gourmand In the slightest, just a sweeter take on the original scent. If you like clean type of vanilla, and don’t own the OG 11:11, I think this will do :)

Just testing this and it’s very light compared to 11:11. I can barely smell it. However, I can get big whiffs of the original when testing that one on the other hand. I’m hoping if I let this sit for awhile it might get stronger. Otherwise I’m not sure what the point is if I have to press my nose into my wrist in order to smell it. **edited: It’s much stronger now, maybe it was just my nose that day. I’m obsessed with it. It reminds me of a more vanillic version of Clean Reserve Skin.

This is a very beautiful as they say airy vanilla. It's not at all cloying or sticky sweet it's very much a clean vanilla. If you've ever tried she was an anomaly it has that same sort of vinyl or plastic note which I find appealing. Unfortunately it does not last well at all, but it's very beautiful and easy to wear. Maybe it would last longer in the heat. The salt note is very slight and really is a nice addition.

First impression: smells like a diet version of Nemat Vanilla Musk—in a good way. White musk with just a touch of sweetness, as opposed to Nemat VM which smells as sweet as a sugar cookie, and is not particularly subtle with its sillage. The vanilla in this perfume doesn't last so long, but I definitely prefer this to the og which is a bit too ozonic for my tastes.

I always appreciated the original 11 11 but something about it never felt quite my taste. However, I adoreeee this vanilla version. Its so cozy and reminds me of a sweets in the winter or watching the nutcracker ballet. Just beautiful, balanced, clean yet slightly sweet. I couldn’t wait to get a full sized bottle.

On me it pulls more of the aquatic, salty notes with a hint of vanilla-but I’m not mad at it! It’s just not as sweet/feminine on me and def could be unisex. Overall it’s nice and would be a good light everyday scent if you like it! I’m sure I could make it sweeter with a vanilla lotion or something.

just got the tester, and as soon as i sprayed it on my skin it immediately smells exactly like tease creme cloud. like almost 1 to 1 ratio which im okay with i love creme cloud. 7/10 i just wish it smelled original or added something different to give some variety
